  1. I'm just grateful for heros like Kelly & Jessica. After what happened to Damar we're all just blessed Kim and Damar are improving. I guess in the journey that is life, that's all that mattered in 2022.
  2. These are the 3 biggest positional changes that need to be made immediately. We only have 6 picks and even with a ton of contract restructuring, Beane will be lucky to squeeze out 18-20M to play with in FA. The first 3 picks need to be any combination of one WR, one G/C and one RT.
  3. 1. RT, Brown needs to be a backup only. 2. RG, Bates will be replacing Saffold at LG so we'll need RG who can transition to C when Morse leaves. 3. WR2, not going to be Davis or Shakir. Josh deserves better with Diggs approaching 30. Other areas of need include power RB, S, DT, TE2.
  4. McKenzie got his opportunity and frankly didn't make the most of it. Shakir got lost in the McD rookie vortex and saw very few targets. I don't see us keeping McKenzie, Beasley or Smoke. We need to allow our young players to sink or swim as we continue the search for a legit WR2.
  5. I think with expectations down and no crowd distractions the team was focused and had fun playing. I'll say 2020 and the conference championship appearance.
  6. I meant to say the playoff DVOA over the last 4 years.
  7. Just go out and find a capable 7th rounder or udfa who you have to pay nothing to for 5 years. Why waste 3-6 M/ yr on a qb who's likely not going to play. Use that cap elsewhere. We don't need Keenum, Trubisky or Darnold. Find your Purdy....
  8. Some of the greatest qbs in history understood the value of shorter passes and checkdowns. It's how you get defenses out of cover2 shell. Josh will have to eat some of his ego and practice this. So on a different note will the Bills exercise their 5th year on Gabe?
  9. As a collective it all was just too much. We were predicted to waltz thru the regular season and win it all. Then stuff started happening. All the drama experienced, all the injuries and new OC, all the national TV games throwing off our routine. Every week we're favored by 8-14 points. It was bound to eventually take it's toll and it finally did with Damar. I'm not making excuses for an embarrassing home playoff game in what's "supposed" to be our weather, but eventually the bubble from everything was bound to burst.
  10. Tremaine should never again be asked to blitz the qb. He just doesn't have the vision or instincts. I'd argue Milano is our ONLY reliable blitzer. Tremaine's value remains the middle of the field in coverage and mop up tackles. This is his wheelhouse and will get you the occassional deflection.
  11. Let's go ahead and combine #4 & #10. Josh shouldn't believe in his OL anymore. Brown & Saffold were awful. Dawkins seemed to regress some. Bates & Morse are decent but hardly great. You shouldn't be surprised if your run game is weak or your elite qb is constantly running for his life. That's the result of a 27th ranked OL. And McB are to blame for that. They've had 5 years to do better. Half this draft better be OL/ WR. Points 1-3 just validate how status qou this organization runs. I'd love to see the "playoff" DVOA of our defense these last 4 years. Dorsey enables Josh so of course he's going to want to keep him. And McDermott enables Leslie to run a failed playoff defensive scheme. I guarantee you both Dorsey & Frazier will be gone next January if the Bills exit early again. This is the only way Sean keeps his job. As for the rest I agree there will be no big fa signings. Maybe one lower tier olineman. I only sign Edmunds if he agrees to 12M. Anything more and I let him walk. I'm letting Devin go and trying to sign Perine cheap as a power back. The last power back was Gore who was old as rust. Spencer goes permanently to backup status. Bernard & Spector were just bad picks. If this organization is serious about going to the next level, it's going to have to look in the mirror and be prepared to make big adjustments.
  12. Who the hell said I wanted a DE. Read my short post very carefully. It says WR/ OL.
  13. We need a Chase/ Waddle young speed wr on a 5 yr rookie contract. Players like Hopkins or Allen don't interest me anymore.
  14. Yup, unfortunately none of those 5 players look elite. Jury still out on Elam & Rousseau? 2 olineman in AJE & Basham's spot would look real nice right now.
  15. Trust me Chaos it's more important than you think. After your QB, coaching, game management and strategy are probably your 2nd most important area. Establishing a dominant OL to protect your #1 investment is 3rd. We got the first one right but have failed in the next two.
  16. Completely agree. The problem this April won't be selecting offensive players. It will be making sure Beane & Dorsey are 100% committed to getting "the right offensive players". If they're not in agreement it will be a disaster.
  17. Beane knows what style he wants to run and that's why he acquired Cook & Hines. The problem 100% lies in Josh and Ken. Over Josh's first 3-4 seasons he was devastating, running both designed plays and pocket breakdowns. I think in Josh's mind he feels he still has to be the guy running for 80-90 yards. It's in his blood and ego. Dorsey to some degree has fed this narrative and has added the freedom for Josh to go nuts with deep routes. Short safe and productive checkdowns kind of ended week 3. When opponents saw this they implemented a spy with cover shell. And it worked. Unfortunately both Josh and Ken never returned to using dumpoffs and checkdowns like they did against the Rams & Titans. This will be McB's biggest challenge convincing Josh & Ken why the short passes are so instrumental in running a complete offense.
  18. Exactly...we need to start landing promising players (preferably offensive) on cheap 5 year rookies deals. Von was our swing for the fences player and didn't work. Who knows how healthy he'll be this fall. Aaron is not realistic. Stay the course and surround Josh. McD will just have wrestle with this strategy.
  19. ....so pretty much the Lakers
  20. If Q Johnston gets near 27 you go for it. Not sure yet on Rice. But OL is beyond imperative.
  21. Just load up on OL / WR as much as you can. We can't keep neglecting this offense. Protect Josh Weapons for Josh
  22. One amazing game hardly makes a career. We all had such high hopes for Gabe to be our legit WR2 after hauling in those 4 tds. But unfortunately injuries and a return to untimely drops returned. This offense cannot move forward without a stud 2nd guy after Diggs. Who that guy is I have no clue.
  23. Cool....we'll replace realistic fans tired of settling for early playoff exits with delusional satisfied fans content with winning the regular season trophy. Yay
  24. There will come a time very soon when we stop talking about process and culture in order to move ahead to personnel and execution. That goes for coaches and players.
  25. If he does return I will be very disappointed. It will be more of a reflection on McDermott by choosing loyalty and continuity over someone with a better playoff scheme or adjustments. I've hoped for over 2 years we transition some out of the zone to a more aggressive man coverage. But obviously Sean will remain status qou and soft tampa2 zone will remain. Playoff caliber teams will have their way with us.
