Best comparison I've read! Brady did get assistance that I don't think Josh will ever see, like coaching and league perks/calls etc.

Another option if you don't want to pay Perine 3M is sign Mostert for 2M and find a big power back from your UDFA's. -

PSA: This is Sean McDermott's defense, not Leslie Frazier's
LABILLBACKER replied to QB Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
This team has good players and talent. They just have mediocre coaches who fans have blindly fallen in love with for digging the Bills out of the drought. McDermott runs the whole show. He's in charge of Beane. He definitely influences defensive picks. If you want to blame Beane for Basham & Epenesa you're flat out naive. With each playoff exit, more and more fans will realize this. -

One thing I'm starting to see and getting startled at are the number of Bills fans perfectly content with winning the regular season. It's like the playoffs and SB aren't as important to their "happiness" anymore. With each season the bar gets lowered. -

Cook is RB1 getting 60+% of touches. Hines and Perine split the rest. Do not draft any RB's but pick up 2-3 udfa guys to compete for a possible 4th spot. Pay that 4th RB the league minimum, put him on ST and dump Jones. -

LABILLBACKER replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Our DL and OL scouts must be real knuckle daggers. At this point I don't trust anyone anymore picking pass rushers. Just spend some money and buy a proven commodity. I think Sean and Beane will always get a lifetime pass from many fans for getting out of the drought and getting Josh. But beyond these 2 acts, I don't feel optimistic about their abilities anymore. It's going to take some extremely creative salary restructures to free up 20+ to spend. Hopefully a reasonable trade arises for Edmunds but if not I have no problem letting 49, 21 & 26 walk. If Ken & Leslie don't turn things around they're both gone after 23. We've kinda wasted Josh's younger more athletic first 5. We can't afford to wiff on these next 5. Thx for the effort Virgil. Totally understand your reason for ending the write ups. This season was exhausting. -

I'm only going to be around another 15-20 years so if you think I'm sitting thru another drought era you're crazy. We either win 1 with QB1 over the next 10 years or you can kiss it. This team has been like purgatory over these last 50 years, so I'll be well trained for the afterlife. -

Why are we hiring a college WR to be a safeties coach? Makes no sense. Ugh

Give Josh the 90's OL and Thurman and he'd steamroll Jim. Love Andre but so far I've seen Diggs make catches Reed would only dream of. And let's not forget Andre disappeared in 4 SB's. -

It wouldn't surprise me to see Rodgers go to the Jets. If Tua stays healthy they'll be a problem. We have to play the best division in football, the NFCE. And we have to beat Mahomes, Burrow & Herbert. This is going to be a daunting schedule so winning the division will be possible but extremely challenging.

So he'd start ahead of: Jacobs Chubb Sanders Cook Etienne Taylor Kumara Pollard Walker ....I think based on how slow he is you're looking at maybe 10-12 teams he could start for. -

It's likely Cook gets 60% of the carries. We're not paying 5+ for Devin getting 40%. Still not sure what happens to Hines but considering his return value we'll probably keep him at 4M and be our emergency rb3. Maybe sign Perine as a power rb2? -

ROCKPILE REVIEW - Bengals and 2022 Wrap-Up
LABILLBACKER replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
We've already managed to waste his 5 "rookie deal" years. Now if our defensive HC can only realize the value of protecting and surrounding JA with better OFFENSIVE players, maybe he'll stand a chance. At least this supporting cast will be on rookie deals. Let's not screw that up too. -

LABILLBACKER replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well our QB and WR1 are better than Kelly/Reed, but after that things drop off. Assuming Von can stay healthy, he'll probably give us 2 years close to Bruce numbers. Our OL, WR2 and RB are far from the production we got in the 90's. And our coaching now is somewhat inferior to Marv, Ted, Walt/Wade. Maybe if we pour Rousseau, Epenesa & Basham into a big mold, out comes Bruce 2.0? Probably not..... -

Isn't Jawaan Taylor an UFA? His value is 12M. Not picking Humphrey will haunt this team. We have to draft a minimum of 2 olineman and sign 1 FA. Anything less is an epic fail by Beandermott.
