We just need a season without all the drama. Shootings, blizzards, stars on IR, Damar almost dies on the field. I think if the Bengals has experienced all that, the roles would've been reversed. But the one terrifying thing that is guaranteed returning next season is our HC & Coordinators.

No, we either go OL or WR @ 27. If McDermott wants defensive players he can wait till the 5th round.
-
If we're never going to prioritize the run game, at least we might have a fast home run threat in Cook who could occassional take a 30 yard run to the house. I'm betting they keep Hines and restructure his contract, then draft a late round guy to compete.

So what is the first coach or domino to fall?

We blew out Salgado. That should immediately translate to a SB. I just can't fathom the organization keeping both coordinators, especially Frazier. -
Final Pro Football Focus Oline Season Grades

Actually it's probably closer to 5 years straight. McD has completely ignored the OL during his tenure while we watch yearly defensive acquisitions blow. -
Your Offseason Upgrades to the OLine

Totally agree. No way I ever want to see Spencer at RT. Slide him over to RG and sign Juwan Taylor at RT. Draft a LG and a C and hope you can get 1 more year out of Morse. Or slide Bates to C if Morse retires? Even Boettger wouldn't put up a 49 at LG. -
No he's not a playmaker. He accumulates lots of tackles and has the wingspan of Rodan. But does he ever make impact plays. Very rarely. Milano seems to make them every other week. Tremaine is going to want 18-20 and there's no way Beane's paying that. I think Poyer & Tremaine are both gone. And Oliver might be gone next year.

In case anyone wondered - Kumerow had back surgery

We'll go dumpster diving behind the Titans facility because that Saffold/ Quessenberry combo was so dynamic. -
It's kind of pointless to even discuss RB's until we revamp our OL. I'd lean Hines because I think he'll come slightly cheaper and he's locked up the return position. We'll acquire another rookie contract rb or 2. Sean fix the damn OL.

Until McD completely upgrades the OL once & for all (6 yrs), you will continue to see Josh pressured or running for his life. You will continue to see the already mediocre run game abandoned. And of course 9 drop Gabe needs to move to WR3 permanently as we hopefully draft WR2? Defensively without Von, the 3 boys are basically worthless. Groot doesn't get 8 sacks and AJ 6 without Von. Without a killer pass rush the Tampa 2 zone completely falls apart.

Why isn't Frazier interviewing for Head Coaching positions?

His days as DC should be over. I don't think McB has the stones to do it. Maybe he'll retire? -
Buscaglia: Both Bills Coordinators are likely to be back in 2023
LABILLBACKER replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
Don't despair....at least McSchott will have enough regular season wins to keep everyone happy. -
Hines slipped on all his kickoff returns. Cleary the cleats selection was wrong. I just think the days of the Bills having some advantage in bad weather is over. Regardless of wind, rain or snow. With as much as we throw and as little as we run, it's pointless to think it favors us.

Is it the drafting or the player development?

You're right. He's done well in the skill positions but failed in the trenches. Are his scouts for OL/DL just idiots? -

New England is a mess and Bill just seems like he doesn't care anymore. The Dolphins and Jets are a problem. Especially if Brady & Rodgers decide to end their careers there. It's all moot if our own organization continues to fail Josh.

Bills D probably has 1 more year of running it back - and be good
LABILLBACKER replied to appoo's topic in The Stadium Wall
Running it back?....being good?....our defense has been embarrassing in 4 straight playoff exits. I could care less about convoluted regular season analytics. -
Every modern rule change in the last 10-15 years has drastically benefited the offense. You can't breathe on the qb anymore. You can't hardly touch wrs. Why do you think there are fewer defensive HC's than ever.

As far as both trenches go, the Bills scouts might be some of the worst in the league. -
Another great write up OP. I like Rice alot especially if he comes in under 4.45. Not a fan of keeping McKenzie. That ship has sailed. No FA's have any appeal to me also. Beasley, Brown, Crowder, Kumerow and Sweeney all gonzo. Patmon maybe stays as insurance. Draft a 2nd wr later. Trading up for Quentin Johnston would be too costly unless he falls?

The chances of Leslie retiring or getting a HC job is basically 1%. -

I think the game would've been somewhat closer with a healthy Von, Micah, Tre and Daquan. But that's assuming no one's injured. We would've still lost because the defensive philosophy is extremely flawed. From here on out regular season defensive accomplishments should be taken for a grain of salt. 4 straight defensive meltdowns in the playoffs is not a coincidence. -
Thank you. It's obvious to everyone. We need a Waddle/ Chase type to compliment Stefon. Gabe is really a natural WR3 and Shakir would slide into WR4 permanently. But not having a true #2 puts way too much pressure on Diggs & Josh. And on top of everything these incessant deep throws need to be reduced. Never thought I'd ever say that with hand canon as the qb.
