Single vs Double Elimination Tournament
LABILLBACKER replied to ProcessTruster's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you're missing injured players in the first playoff game, you're probably going to be missing them in the next game. It doesn't solve the problem. -
So if we don't keep Poyer, Edmunds can just slide into the same position he's played for 5 years...strong safety.
-
Exactly....we're winning 11-13 games each year because Josh has been forced to be Superman. So while Sean wastes picks on defensive flops, Josh has zero support beyond Stefon. Any 9 yr old could tell you this.

Can Sean McDermott Coach the Bills to a Championship?
LABILLBACKER replied to jethro_tull's topic in The Stadium Wall
And who's fault is that. McDermott is the one selecting these mediocre dlineman at the expense of not allowing Beane to select any competent offensive guys. -
Can Sean McDermott Coach the Bills to a Championship?
LABILLBACKER replied to jethro_tull's topic in The Stadium Wall
Absolutely not. The blown 16-0 Houston lead really concerned me. 13 seconds proved in an instant how incapable McD is in leading this team to a championship. The Cincy game only validated something I already knew. Only a dynamic offensive HC (Daboll, Payton etc) could vault Josh to the end. Process, culture and character can only take you halfway to the end. How refreshing 60% of Bills fans have finally come to their senses. That took forever. -
Brandon & Sean are the kings of deflection.

This embarrassing obsession with a historically losing Panther organization is pathetic. If the only players McD can obtain are Panthers, that speaks volumes as to his complete inability to find good players. I don't see Andy grabbing Eagle players.

Here's some things that might benefit us next season. 1. We can't possibly experience all the stressful and emotional events that crashed down on this team. And yes they were clearly physically and emotionally exhausted. 2. Hopefully Von, Micah and Tre come back 100% 3. If Dorsey & Frazier are allowed to "run it back", they better be prepared to make major tweaks to their respective responsibilities. 4. McB's primary job will be to focus 80% or more of the draft/ fa on offensive help for Josh. Anything less would only expedite their dismissal if a 5th early playoff exit happens. That warm seat becomes scalding. 5. And now that the majority of the sports world consider us the 3rd or 4th best team in the AFC, maybe we can stay off the "SB favorite hype train" and catch some teams by surprise?
-
Newsflash....as long as McD runs this team, he'll always emphasize defense over offense. Now I can see why Andy Reid fired him. Maybe he can draft some more DE's who can transition to OL?
-
Cool...more addicted hero ball from Josh because Dorsey has no clue how to structure an offense. Dorsey: " hey guys it's 3rd & 3, everyone go deep".....
-
It took 4 years to ween Josh off the hero ball. Now it's like Josh is addicted again and Ken is his dealer. God I wish we could somehow get Dabs back as our HC.

Aaron Rodgers to the Jets for 2 first round picks?
LABILLBACKER replied to Lost's topic in The Stadium Wall
Great...now we're going to have Brady & Rodgers in the AFCE. Come on Lamar Bill's calling. -
Bills will not make it to the playoffs in 2023?
LABILLBACKER replied to Cygnus99's topic in The Stadium Wall
He beat us once and could easily have done it 3x. Now there's rumors Brady is shopping schools in Miami. Maybe Carr goes to the Jets? This will not be an easy AFCE win this season. -
Best summation so far. I will always be grateful for McDermott changing the culture. But today's NFL is based on offense. All the rules favor the offense. Sean has blatantly neglected the oline for 6 years. If you know the best player on your team (maybe in the planet) is your qb, wouldn't you want to surround him with everything? I know I would. Having a defensive HC is no longer an advantage. Ask the Charger fans how much they hate Staley. McD might be the nicest guy ever and yes he (or maybe more Josh) pulled us out of the drought. But beyond Process, Culture & Character he's a game day train wreck. And his defensive selections have set this organization back.

Bills aren't going anywhere with McD. Probably Sabres...
-
Doomed is an appropriate word. You could also use overmatched or screwed.

Both Frazier & Dorsey need to go immediately. There's no point dicking around hoping they'll figure it out. Josh isn't getting any younger. McD should be replaced too with a dynamic offensive coach but the Pegulas value his character more than his in game decisions. As far as dumb personnel decisions go, this team has always made them. Shakir & Elam absolutely should have played more. Look how long it took McD to dump Peterman. We'll always be good enough to win 10-12 games but once the divisional round hits, it's goodbye time.
-
Good synopsis...really the only things I disagreed on was he was a little easy on the OL. And looks like he's willing to give Dorsey a sophomore season. If this organization doesn't emphasize the offense on both FA & the draft it will waste another year of our generational qb.

Bengals will be the team to beat for years to come

No one including us were beating the niners. -
Well Bernie that train is starting to fill up rapidly.

How many chances will McDermott get?
LABILLBACKER replied to Awwufelloff's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just like Brady was mostly responsible for a majority of the W's, so is Josh. Without Allen, McDermott would be long gone.
