Seems like a lot of loot for only the 4th overall pick
-
I'm not so sure. The cost for pick #5 could go up if the Giants don't take a QB and don't trade. With likely two of the top QBs still on the board, there may be another team involved. It comes down to cost imo. If the Bills can move to 5 for a decent price, it may be prudent to get there. If the Giants stay put, Beane may not need to do much else. He could get to 4 easily if that were to come in play. What's the worst case scenario? You're still getting an elite non QB at 5 in all likelihood . There are worse things if everything goes off the rails. Worse would be sitting back at 12 far out of the mix at the top of the draft, waiting for tidbits to fall from the big dogs.

Brady has not committed to playing in 2018

Cassell had a career year and then reverted back to himself when he remembered who he was. Happened plenty of times before with other QBs. BB was a .500 coach before TB, and without a great QB he'll revert to something closer to his career average pre Brady. Or just get out of coaching so as not to tarnish his " legacy". -
Tyrod Taylor turning heads in Cleveland.

Agreed. He'll help bring some semblance of order to that franchise. -
Who was the best QB from the 2004 Class?

It's not even about MVP. It's about your last posession, you need your QB to lead his team on a TD drive to win the Super Bowl and he does it. Twice. Vs the shining star dynasty franchise of the league . What else do you want to measure your QB by ? Those guys get busts in the HOF. -
Show Me Your Allegiance! Trade Up or Stay Put POLL

Read the edit. It's explained thoroughly there. Their initial move up plan for Ben fell through. What followed was a panic at the END of round 1. Not a good idea. Get to the top -

The Bills didn't have a first round pick in 2003. Bledsoe trade from ' 02 ifvyoure referring to '04, they had a deal in place to move up for Ben Roethlisberger that HOU cancelled when they got cold feet. If only that had worked out. Or do you believe that Big Ben would have forgotten how to play football if he was drafted by The Bills? The panic move from round two to the end of round one for Losman in that same year? Stupid and I don't recommend it. That's why they need to get to the top of a draft order with several good QBs like this year. It hasn't happened since '83. They've always been on the outside looking in. -
Of course far more teams have drafted their QB with a single pick than an expensive move up. The Bills have been waiting for 22 years for the good fortune that never came. It would be great if a QB would just fall into their lap outside the top ten a la Roethlisberger or Rodgers. They can either wait some more or go make their own luck. It doesn't seem they are interested in waiting any longer. We will see.

Who was the best QB from the 2004 Class?

I'd go Eli Ben Rivers I put Eli at the top for his two SB wins vs the evil empire. He had to lead his team on a final drive TD both times. That cements him as #1 for me. I'd say Roethlisberger is a very close second. He's had more tries vs the Pats than Eli, but I think he's failed most every time. Have to judge him vs the era's best. Rivers a distant 3rd. -
So the big market audience ( Boston) will watch. Otherwise, no one is tuning in to see Bills / Jags
