  1. The part where you get rid of all decent players because they’re not “ your guys”
  2. Analytics and all, you know? Might get back to back possessions
  3. This crowd will turn fast. Offense has to give them something to stay in it. It doesn’t look promising. Daboll has a lot to prove here.
  4. Uninspiring start by Daboll. How about some play action on first down when they’re looking for the run? A bootleg pass maybe?
  5. Defense allows 45+ points in another debacle. McDermott promptly sacrifices a Whaley player, OL John Miller.
  6. Don’t ever let me slip cuz if I slip then I’m slippin’...
  7. Good list, needs Ben Dreith and Jerry Seeman though.
  8. I just voted for Kerley, even though he’s off the team lol. Has just as good a shot as any...
  9. Just bizzaro world with this HC. On this team, Kerley was easily a WR 2. It’s great that Zay Jones is playing so well and all.... wtf?
  10. Daboll has a lot to prove, and can’t exactly rest on his past successes. He hasn’t earned the benefit of the doubt. Josh Allen will make or break his career. Other teams, namely the Eagles, have given a blueprint of how to develop a talent like Allen. While there are differences with Wentz and Allen , the skill set is similar. The passing concepts used with Wentz and even Foles ( especially in the SB) are exactly the sort of thing Daboll should do with Allen. The limitations of Peterman are more than obvious at this point. Fans will have to see what sort of game plan Daboll comes up with for Allen before his skills as an OC can be assessed.
  11. Of course, those guys were actually allowed to pretty much abuse the QB. The guys hitting Allen now are restricted in what they can do. Imagine if Brady played in the ‘80’s and 90’s. He’d have been retired years ago.
  12. He was at least functional, showed moxie in the final ps game and actually started and finished a playoff game a few years ago. Peterman cannot play in the league.
  13. Haven’t the Bengals hung onto their HC forever now ?
  14. I’m aware of what the Bills did. It’s just that not everyone agrees with their choices. Perhaps the writers opinion would be different if they had drafted Rosen ( a more polished prospect) or not spent as much and drafted Edmunds, then moved up slightly to draft Jackson. Time will tell. If Allen is a stud, no one will care what was given up to draft him.
  15. There is a philosophy to drafting players. Some believe that more picks = a better chance that some of them pan out. If you spend multiple picks to get a certain player you are putting all of ypur drafting eggs in a single basket. Your odds of success decrease. Whether or not you subscribe to this philosophy would determine if you thought the Bills strategy was good or shortsighted.
  16. To be fair, I think his point was that the Bills could have addressed those needs without paying the steep price to move up. A team like the Bills that gutted their roster and left holes to fill all over the place. They had lots of draft picks, but actually drafted very few players with those picks. It’s a valid point. They could have addressed the OL, WR, LB and QB positions if they hadn’t squandered so many picks in trade ups.
  17. Coaches will always devise a game plan with winning the game as primary consideration. This should and will be no different. They won’t try to hide Allen behind max protection all game. They will use play action on deep throws early to get the safety out of the run box. The Ravens D did not care much about any pass beyond 10 yards as they didn’t think Peterman could make the throws. That’s tough on a running game. I expect Allen’s mobility to be used as well with bootlegs. The Jets did this often vs DET. There were plays out there to be made vs BAL and NP left them on the field. The OL must get much better leverage and be more physical in the run game to give the Bills a chance in this one.
  18. Peterman starting was the confluence of bad talent evaluation and poor judgement.
  19. I still prefer ESPN to the Patriot blowhards on NFLN. Usually can only tolerate about 5 minutes of their programming before talk inevitably turns to New England. ESPN has certainly declined over the years, but remains better than most others.
