  1. This is not true. The play was a forward pass by definition. It is a forward pass (a) if the ball initially moves forward to a point nearer the opponents goal line after leaving the passers hand(s). (b) The ball first strikes the ground , a player or anything else at a point that is nearer the opponents goal line than the point at which it leaves the passers hands. Note : a ball that is intentionally fumbled and goes forward is a forward pass. That is the definition of a forward pass as stated in NFL rules section 8 section 1 article 1 a and b. There is no mention of one foot anywhere . It is clear that the officials blew the call.
  2. More than likely, the answer is yes. There are far more wealthy individuals than NFL QBs. Folks whose money alone has made more money than Bradford will ever see. As far as NFL QBs though, his $$ per TD pass is astounding.
  3. McFarland is almost as bad as the Tampa run D
  4. Let that one go with authority... still gotta go with Fitzy when Winston returns. You have to let it play out.
  5. Not by much. Easily the two worst throwback unis in the NFL.
  6. Seems surprising, but it shouldn’t be. Some folks forget ( or were too young to recall) the NFL draft used to have 12 rounds in the early ‘90s. Even more prior to that. It currently is 7 rounds. That means more players are FA’s , giving them some say in which team they play for. That’s what the NFLPA wanted. This works for teams too, as the talent level drops in a major way after the first 3 rounds. Since the salary structure dictates higher salaries for drafted players, they may be willling to forgo keeping a drafted player in favor of a cheaper UDFA to fill out the roster. The drafted player may still get a priority due to the investment, but if the cheaper guy can do just as good of a job he’ll make the roster. Teams have to get players from somewhere, and less are drafted out of College football now than was previously the case.
  7. They live in the socialist republic of California , so CK is right up their alley.
  8. What a giant surprise! Hue must have looked at the tape.
  9. Well, the Bills did do them a huuuge favor in allowing them to draft Mahomes. Definitely won’t happen though.
  10. Agreed. I was sold on Schuster after watching his workout @ USC, and even seeing his interaction with his family that appeared in that broadcast. Seemed like a great kid and looked like a stud WR out there. Like a bigger and better version of Robert Woods. Zay can still turn it around , but it’s not looking good. JJSS also would only have cost one draft pick.
  11. While I’ll agree that other plays were more impressive, I was glad to see Allen brush off the shakiness from his debut and calmly execute the play as required. I didn’t know if he was just too hyped up vs LAC, or if putting the right touch on various passes was going to be an issue.
  12. Romo opined that Allen manipulated the defender by staring at the RB. Look we’re all Bills fans and know our QB history. Yes, a true assessment cannot take place until after Allen’s first season. There’s nothing wrong with discussing the ups ( and there will be downs) of Allen’s progression through his opening year at the helm. This is a fan message board after all, prone to the inevitable hot takes etc that come with it. If you prefer a more long term and balanced approach, watch the season and then chime in when January rolls around.
  13. What I like most about Romo is his coach-like demeanor before plays occur , instead of merely commenting afterward. He assesses the situation, looks at the defense and tells you what a team should do or what he would do. It’s a more informative, strategy based viewing experience. An analyst like Simms is dull as dishwater compared to Romo.
  14. Milano showed more of what he was last season in games such as vs OAK. The D as a whole can take a bow after this one. With all the stuff you hear about a trap game and taking a team lightly, I’m not buying it. MIN has plenty of talent up and down their roster and had 55 minutes to wake up and get their head out of their posterior.
  15. The Bills certainly looked a mess in their first 2.5 games, but Frazier called the D yesterday fwiw.
  16. Far too early for this. Besides, some liked him, some didn’t. He looked improved today, maybe last week was nerves. It was good to see him settle down and deliver some strikes ( several of which were dropped.)
  17. Reiff singled up on Hughes all day....no mas
  18. True... is Romo available ?
  19. Worst thing about it is they probably should have another TD. Have to keep the foot on the gas, clean up the procedure penalties and use up clock with efficient drives. Excellent half of football overall.
  20. It was a good, clean football hit. No way to stop the momentum, and he hit him in the field of play.
  21. Allen looks good, 275 yards passing or more and no turnovers. Bills defense actually shows up , keeps score within 10 points. Bills OL remembers how to run block.
  22. I voted for ( slightly) underrated. Murphy followed a legend, which immediately diminishes him to many. His milquetoast talk show also works against him here. He’s actually pretty good ( not great) as a play by play guy, and has an appealing voice. I’d also concur that many announcers voices are just grating, making for a tough listen.
  23. Lol... let’s hope Lewis doesn’t listen to “ don’t look back”
  24. That would be Castillo. Good description.
