That’s because any that leave broke the oath of B.B’s evil empire...they will forever be drowned in goats blood and Satan’s spawn.

He looks better, although I would expect that with the team around him. The rosters are just a bit different , wouldn’t you say ? That Jet team destroyed the Bills last October and they didn’t look the same again after that game. The protection has been pretty good and the running game looks far superior to anything the Bills are capable of doing right now. These things matter. Jets D is pretty good too. If Allen threw that pick six to start the game, the Bills would probably allow TDs on the next 5 defensive series.

Peterman has a career 4:1 completion to int ratio!

It means IF you get the other stuff corrected, the team may actually be capable of winning a football game. -
Let’s hope he ends up more similar to Winston...

What a play by Goliday to ldislodge that ?

It wasn’t. But the play stood anyway.....crap

Beth Mowins, the drunken Aunt.... Hard to listen to.

Jets are better than the Bills , anyway. They scored a TD!

They chose to only go with “ their guys” and jettison talented players who could possibly contribute in the future. In a sense, they bet that ALL their guys would be better than the previous regimes acquisitions over several years. We know the percentages of NFL draft picks that actually pan out, so this was a HUGE gamble. Once their m.o. was apparent , I said they were betting on having one of the best drafting / FA streaks in NFL history. So sure, give it a year or two. It’s not looking great right now and a lot will have to change for them to not go down with the ship. It’s a very arrogant approach.

That a-hole you refer to has very strong approval ratings amongst citizens who would describe themselves as Republican. Obviously Nike thinks Kaep is good for business. They just are going after a different demographic. The owner of Nike May also lean towards Kaep on the issue, where many NFL owners don’t. Nike got some backlash, but they chose to not care about those customers. I’m not the one who needs to re think anything here. We’re talking about multi billion dollar corporations. There is evidence that many NFL fans are turned off by Kaep. It’s just who you choose to listen to.

QBs can develop while getting smashed
Boatdrinks replied to scribo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Young started in the USFL and then for Tampa Bay. He was a reclamation project of sorts. Young himself said that he had to make a conscious decision to change his game and make plays primarily from the pocket. If he didn’t , he knew he would be out of the league. He’s also stated that he sees a similarity between the early version of himself and RGIII. -
Patrick Mahomes Lighting up the Chargers
Boatdrinks replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don’t know how much the Bills liked Mahomes or even Trubisky, but we know they traded down because a new GM was imminent. Pegulas should probably have just cleaned house and hired a GM, then a HC. Regardless, they gambled on the 2018 draft for a QB then unexpectedly made the playoffs. The job got tougher. It may or may not pan out, but if it doesn’t the seeds of failure were planted draft night in 2017. -
Every Josh Allen Throw Vs. Ravens
Boatdrinks replied to Prickly Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No WRs wanted to come to BUF in free agency this year. The only QB on the roster was Nathan Peterman. Can’t say I blame them. -
Who Is the Worst Starting QB in Bills History (NFL)?
Boatdrinks replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This list is lacking some worthy candidates such as Joe Dufek and Bruce Mathison. Probably a few others. Many names that shouldn’t be on there are. Interesting, but flawed. -
Probably true, and I completely “ get” that. You’re very condescending. The league could, however discontinue the practice of playing the anthem altogether. They don’t have to allow “ protests”. They actually may be legally allowed to say , give players a choice of standing or staying in. We don’t know. I’m not going to change your mind, and I don’t care. He did wear cop /pig socks and his statements show he cleary is ignorant of and doesn’t understand use of force. He made those statements I mentioned , it’s a fact. You can look it up or choose to be ignorant of it/ brush it off. It’s all good. Go Bills.

Man , you seem too invested in this lol... Not true, I read stuff about Nike decades ago. It was out there, and this was way before the internet was a thing. Just never fit my feet well, I liked saucony and ASICS . Whatever. Yep, Kaep trashed the country. He said the country oppresses him and others like him. I don’t believe this is true, the country does none of this. He’s also against cops. That’s all I need to know about the man, really. Nobody in bars stands for the anthem. Some in the stands don’t, but there are idiots everywhere. I don’t like CKs chosen forum for sure, but the message is even worse. It’s way overblown and just flat wrong in a lot of ways. I still think he’s a mediocre football player that’s not worth an ounce of the trouble, aside from being ignorant on many points. Lol... a la the USFL.

Why not ? I get the Union part, the specialization really means next to nothing. No different than any other business. There are work rules and all that, but no company owes anyone a platform to express their personal views. Get it ?

‘84 and ‘85 come to mind. Pretty bad all the way around. They got the 1st overall pick in ‘85 and slowly began to turn things around. There is hope.

Never liked Nike. They’re too narrow, I think I bought one pair when I was in HS and that was it. Where was your backlash? Personally, I didn’t think Mixon should play in the NFL. It’s not up to me, though. The NFL is a business, and will do as they see fit to make money. That’s what businesses do. I’m not sure how they’re any different than Nike, they’ve just made a different choice. I think Kaep is scum, doesn’t mean I approve of others you referenced. They shut up and never put down the country. Smart business move. Perhaps the USA needs stronger DWI laws? Of course, you’d probably think stronger laws is code for racism. This is about football and business.

Interesting how some people just cannot accept that you do what your employer wants ( if it is legal of course) OR you go work somewhere else. What could be more fair than that ? Let’s not pretend that money hasn’t always been the determining factor in what does or doesn’t get done in business. It’s just business after all. Nike proved that just as much as the NFL. Does Kaep take a knee for every dollar he gets at the expense of an exploited worker in a third world sweatshop? What a hero.

People are generally forgiving, and the media kind of leaves those things alone. Do you recall a huge backlash against those things? They celebrate and promote Kaep, keeping it at the forefront. Aren’t those folks simply “ the less fortunate “ anyway, that you strongly stick up for? Anyway, they tend to keep in the background about the errors of their ways. They don’t disgrace the very country that gave them a second chance, or wear pig socks, shirts with depictions of dictators or donate to people who shoot Cops.

The Ravens said they offered him a contract, and he refused. Your other points have been refuted time and again. There is no American right to “ peacefully protest” on the job , and the NFL doesn’t owe anyone a platform to express their views on anything. They are a business, just like Nike. Kaep apologists don’t want to accept that. The guy is mediocre at football , and is bad for business in many ways. The first part isn’t enough to keep him from an NFL job, combined with the latter it is.

I’m no longer subscribing to this theory, and I was afraid of what would occur from the jump. You simply cannot get rid of all the most talented players from the previous regime and expect to be any good. Some like to point to the Rams and Eagles. Trouble is, those teams did not do this. They kept many of the best pieces and added to that foundation. Expunging all traces of Whaley players has left this team around the level of an expansion franchise. Maybe less, as those teams have been given favorable draft position in the past. There is no way this management group sticks around for 5 seasons unless they have an historically great couple of drafts and add key FA that perform at a top level. Not looking good.
