Blue Pants: the real reason we lost
Dr.Sack replied to 2020 Our Year For Sure's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would prefer a Zumba’s pant, over those terrible blues. -
It’s a long season. Best thing for the Bills & Allen is they get a relatively early bye. KC plays Tennessee this upcoming week. If Mahomes lights them up he re-enters the MVP talk and gets back in the conversation. Allen could slide up this list simply sitting idle for a week. In upcoming weeks Joe Burrow, Carson Wentz, could enter as legit contenders, heck evenTJ Watt could enter the conversation if their teams continue winning.

I love the aggression late going for the W. What I don’t like is settling for chip shot feel good FGs early. Might as well start playing RZ offense as if it is 4 down territory. We simply can’t squander 45% of all RZ trips. Especially early in the game. I appreciate Josh’s 0 career TOs in RZ but something is amiss, and is mostly not being able or willing to use a back like Moss or Gilliam to grind hard yards.

I’m more pissed on the holding play on the KO return that was called back. Remember White was also held before being blasted forward on Henry’s 76 yard run. Screen both, what is the difference? Both feature a jersey tug on a player who likely doesn’t make the tackle. Oh well. On to Miami.

Physicality. On offense we are reverting back to finesse when confronting adversity. We trust Josh, and that’s fine, but too often we forget the running game & go to a 100% pass offense. Even the best offenses mix in the run. Moss could be a big factor late, if we weren’t playing from behind and instead were needing to chew clock. We need to find ways to mix in more running plays and be deliberate in our approach. Playing with a lead will help do this, but abandoning the run in a tight ballgame is not my idea of a balanced attack. Do we want to be a team that only runs after we are up by 8 or more? On defense we need to do better at filling running lanes & winning up front with our front 4. Our LBs were so committed to stopping the run; they got burned on the in breaking post routes off PA. We have looked bad on OL vs elite DL talent, and looked bad tonight on DL vs a run heavy attack. The question remains? Do we want to continue being a finesse offense, or can we be a team that punches in the ball earlier in the game when we get in the RZ, and can we be an elite RZ defense?

Defence was dominated and Frazier needs to be more aggressive
Dr.Sack replied to Niagara Dude's topic in The Stadium Wall
No. I’m of the mindset you don’t punt past your 50 nor do you kick FGs when in the red zone. The hard evidence is in the data. The more aggressive you play, the more you win. Figure we turned one of the first 2 FGs into a TD. Instead of 6-0, it’s 7-0. It’s obvious down 32-34 late we kick a FG to win. The more aggressive you are early the less you need Allen to play human high jumper late. We faltered late because we were chasing points due to lack of aggression earlier in the game. -

If you are trying to win you always play for TDs. 3 points is not good enough in RZ. -
Two games we lost we were beaten by teams with better red zone execution. The physicality only intensifies in the RZ.

When you go 2/5 in red zone you risk losing games.

Many issues today especially the lack of leverage. Sometimes being taller isn’t ideal in traffics. Bills could use a high flyer to jump over into piles.

I don’t mind going for it, I’m saying we needed to make a play earlier and play with more urgency earlier. Case in point Titans tried lateral middle of game. And tried a sellout punt block after our 2nd to last drive. They took chances and we didn’t take enough. Love playing to win calls. -
What is up with Bass and no run up to kick off?
Dr.Sack replied to Niagara Dude's topic in The Stadium Wall
More collisions and a greater chance for injury. I believe we blew our one returners knee. Oh well. We are good at causing injuries which helps weaken the team in their next game. -

If we weren’t going to play for OT, why kick 2 FGs on first two drives? To me the mentality on red zone offense needs to be TDs or nothing. -
Training camp in Wyoming? better idea: Pegula builds ‘Wyoming Village’ RV tailgate site. Buy two 767s like Robert Kraft did and use them to fly in fans during weeks with home games, and for team transport during road games. Give these new fans a real welcoming. Charter some buses and take them out for some wings & beer.

Matt Milano #hammywatch - update - officially off the injury report
Dr.Sack replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
It depends on coverages, if we get a lead, and how well our DL holds up against the run. Klein can be changed out for a safety to provide better coverage. -
Bills sign Taron Johnson to 3 year extension

$14m guaranteed is a solid deal. -
So what is the Defensive Gameplan?
Dr.Sack replied to Straight Hucklebuck's topic in The Stadium Wall
It also depends how our offense plays. It’s amazing what happens when you put teams in a whole and completely take them out of their running game. -

I expect Neal or Johnson to play in place of Milano in certain sets. With more run heavy personnel I expect Tyler. Milano should be a game day decision and play in a limited role if he dresses, that way we keep KC guessing. -

Play a 3 safety Cover 3 like Tampa did in the Super Bowl. Get pressure sending 3 or 4 men. When you do blitz overload so as to force Mahomes to a sideline (preferably running left) while playing press man with 1 safety deep on Hill’s side of the field. -
Beasley is a tough guy. I’ve always heard beeeaaasss. I’m sure there has been a few knuckleheads, but it’s hard to paint an entire fanbase with a broad brush. I hope this guy is alright mentally, cuz it ain’t a big deal him not being vaxxed. If I’m him I get the J&J & call it a day.

Bills are 18-5 since 2020 3-3 without Moss in lineup 15-2 with Moss in lineup Singletary and Moss are better together.
