  1. Allen is not on par with most QBs, he has the lowest completion percentage among starting QBs. So the question remains, why?
  2. Can we conceivably not play any of our starters in this game? I mean how many guys will have to play that have no business being on the field?
  3. A 33 year old RB who smokes mad weed & hasn’t played in 12 months? What could go wrong? Good luck Seattle.
  4. If Allen completes more than 60% of his passes in a playoff game I’d be impressed. So far the one constant in our losses outside of the Pittsburgh game is when Allen’s completion % is sub 60% we lose. He’s 1-5 on the year his lone victory being over a Duck led anemic Pittsburgh offense.
  5. The only stat I care about 10-5 as the starting QB. Also it is worth noting Allen has the lowest completion percentage among starting QBs this season. Is this a concern? Sure. Is this the reason we have lost 5 games? No. Is Allen accurate on long passes? He’s improved over the course of the year. IF Allen continues improving his touch and long ball accuracy I have no doubt his underneath throws will become easier as defenses will have to account for his long ball. Think no more cover 0 all out blitzes.
  6. I see Shaq as 2012-2013 equivalent of Jerry Hughes, perhaps the Colts gave up on Hughes too early? I don’t mind keeping Lawson around for year 5 & beyond if we can get Hughes level production age 26-30. That said we still could use an elite edge rusher who can also defend in space & seal the edges. That likely won’t be a guarantee pick 22 or beyond but they do exist. The Bills need another great draft & also find some vets interested in joining a winning culture. Another crazy idea would be adding a top level talent at corner to help defend the numerous passing offenses across the AFC. Think White caliber who we napped late in 1st round 2017. Adding a WR, DE/Edge, CB, OT, WLB would be my goal. 11 personnel Brown, Beasley, Rookie WR/FA DE/Edge - Hughes-Rookie/FA CB - replace Wallace/Johnson with stud Rookie CB OT/RT - Nsehke replacement Rookie slide Ford to RG WLB - Zo replacement, a TJ Watt DE/Edge caliber talent - Rookie.
  7. Big Ben hasn’t looked good in 3 years. He’s a flat footed Rivers & would have needed to go full TB12 & sacrificing peasants to play in his 40s. I don’t see how you come back from that injury at age 38.
  8. We could use a Bosa - Watt level talent. Any more brothers coming out?
  9. Brady is one clean hit away from the end of his career. He’s going down soon.
  10. 27 is fairly old by NFL standards. He’s 5 seasons in.
  11. Why does it seem that completing a pass is so difficult when Brady hits checkdowns, screens, outs and crosses with ease? I mean 13 completed passes in 4 Qtrs is Tyrod Taylor.
  12. Morse & Nsekhe are older & appear more injury prone. They are good when healthy but that is a 50/50 proposition. I think Morse is overpaid for what we are getting.
  13. We will need to have a nearly flawless draft, bring in another great FA class, and pray Allen stays healthy & improves his accuracy another +6% as he did this season.
  14. I think Vegas will make the line BUF +3. Not bad considering home teams get 3.
  15. Four reasons to think the Bills will struggle in the playoffs. They will play a road game. Even bandwagon teams sellout and the crowd noise becomes a huge factor. Add in a dome & the noise is amplified. The Bills haven’t been world beaters in the 1st Qtr so the crowd being taken out early is less likely to happen. McD is content playing a 3-10 game. In Jacksonville McD rarely dialed up the bomb. Rather asking Tyrod to check down & not turn over the ball. Conservative play calling rarely works out in the playoffs. Taking risks is necessary. Think Sean Payton onside kick to open 2nd half of the Super Bowl, Pederson’s use of the Foles QB home run pass. McD won’t go for it on 4th down. Another concern McD will likely need to extend drives & give his defense a rest. Does McD have the ‘faith’ in Allen to convert 4th & 1 on our side of the field? Josh Allen is wildly inaccurate. Rarely do QBs win playoff games completing 50% of their passes or less. For example Allen hit 50% of passes vs New England while Brady was around 70%. This level of inaccuracy leads to more punts & allows a ball control offense running up a 39 to 21 minutes time of possession advantage. Singletary can generate yards after contact but Daboll is sending him into 7/8 man fronts routinely on 1st down not mixing in the PA pass. Conservative play calling and predictability is not going to win playoff games. Rarely does a team win on the road playing vanilla offense unless they simply dominate at the line of scrimmage.
  16. Ranking the AFC Playoff QBs #1 Lamar Jackson #2 Patrick Mahomes #3 Deshaun Watson #4 Tom Brady (if Brady plays like he did vs Buffalo in the playoffs he is #2). #5 Ryan Tannehill #6 Josh Allen
  17. I like Josh Allen as a person & in the locker room. I’m also of the opinion the Bills should have brought in a veteran like Fitzpatrick in 2018 to groom him & give him a year to adjust to the NFL game. This should be year 1 for Allen and at age 23 he’s doing fairly good things. I don’t like the mechanics but the fact he can complete 50 yard bombs flat footed shows the arm talent he has. He’s got a lot of work to improve into an elite QB but the raw talents & guts are all there.
  18. This offseason we need to get a starting caliber RB whether it come via FA or draft. And I’m not even saying we need to blow our load on a 1st round talent.
  19. Agreed but I also think sending Kroft or Knox down the seam a few plays per half stretches out the defense & opens the underneath passing lanes.
  20. Houston is beatable IF we can get our RBs over 80 yards on the ground & Allen contributes another 40. I don’t see us winning on Allen’s arm alone as he just misses too many wide open WRs. Kid needs another offseason of boot camp & improving his mechanics and throwing.
  21. Curious thought, how many passes has Allen failed to complete this year because he was off the mark & how does that compare to the rest of the NFL? I’m talking specifically about those throws less than 20 yards downfield like the one to Beasley where he was 10’ too far ahead on.
  22. Yet no critique of Allen’s early game woes, or a coach who doesn’t go for it on 4th & 1.
