Assume we stopped just one of NE’s 2 TDs forcing a FG instead. That’s 17-20 with a chance to tie on the final drive. I would have loved to see us make to OT. No doubt we would have prevailed given our ability to take the top off their defense with Knox or Brown. That said our defense was missing a helluva lot of one on one tackles.

We need a bigger back who has explosiveness & top end speed. Singletary can’t do it all by himself.

Burkhead’s TD run was two missed tackles. Then there was all the 2nd or 3rd & long’s where they gained 10-15 yards to make going for it convertible.

Josh Allen is inaccurate so I’m not sure it really matters. He’s just not accurate enough & is slow reading the defense.

Imagine a 6’4” 225 WR with 4.4 speed & a 40” vertical.

Let’s assume NE gets the ball kicks a FG. We basically give ourselves another 3 minutes of game clock even if the events unfolded the same way. Plus our D would have been fresher in the 4th Qtr. I agree McD should have gone for it.

Does anyone believe we win if it’s another sustained drive. 3rd Qtr 2:21 left 4th & 1 at our 36, up 17-13, McD elects to punt the ball NE goes on to drive 11 plays 77 yards over 6:40 and converts a FG cutting out lead to 17-16. This is a dangerous call but on a night where the Defense was giving up drives & major time giving NE the ball on our 36 would have kept valuable clock on our side.

I agree that 17 won’t beat NE. Case in point on that last drive IF we scored we should have went for 2 because you play to win. Is there anyone who felt NE wouldn’t convert their 2point try?

Our fundamentals have been poor but so to has been the play of the DTs who never seemed to clog the holes leaving the FB free at the 2nd level to put their pads on our LBs creating huge gaps for their RBs.

Remember our Week 4 game featured an illegal pick that Gordon took 30+ yards. But in all Burkhead & Michel bullies our LBs & our DL didn’t do enough to win the line of scrimmage battle.

You have to dominate the Patriots to win.

I think the Bills are a solid team who gave the defending champions & presumed front runners Baltimore consecutive 17-24 games. Brady isn’t washed up as evident by today’s numbers & the NE OL road graded our D for 145 yards on the ground. Bills could have kicked a FG to lose 20-24, but went for the W. There are no moral victories only lessons learned.

The NFL makes the call to send him to the tent. Once he’s there he must go to the locker room for an independent medical evaluation.

Flame away. Allen played good enough to win. New England seemed like they knew every matchup & Edelman pick was clearly a flop to sell his injury, European football style. On the last red zone possession I was disappointed we didn’t run Singletary over Allen.

He played a decent game against the best coach who also cheats in the history of the game.

Josh Allen is playing awesome regardless of the outcome I love the fire.
