I like Christian Wade’s accent & speed better. We need more rugby players.

I was surprised Fatrick Duck Waddle Mahomes couldn’t 20 yard back peddle roll out every play & lead his team to victory. Josh Allen faced similar pressure two weeks ago and did more individually to evade pressure and run than The Duck did last night. Under similar pressure and with no run game support or All-Pro TE, Josh Allen at least put up 24 points, and a respectable 288 yards 2TDs/1INT, 7 rushes for 88 yards. The Duck looked exposed for the first time in his NFL career. I like what the Bucs said: “gimmicky” offense.

Would the Bills have beaten the Bucs?
Dr.Sack replied to QB Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chiefs D isn’t so good when they aren’t allowed to grab players throughout their route. -
Hill is better now at age 26 than he was age 22. If Hill was in the twilight of his career Mahomes wouldn’t get as much production out of him and hence the offensive production would be way down. The weapons that KC has assembled and the respective points the talent is means Mahomes is personally benefitting. It’s a perfect mix on top of an elite organization and coach Andy Reid. A better question would be suppose Josh Allen was on the Chiefs now. Would they be playing the Super Bowl? I believe the answer is yes.

What are we arguing about? Seems to me a better evaluation is in the longevity of their careers. Three seasons of elite play doesn’t mean squat in the grand scheme. Andrew Luck didn’t have it in him to go beyond age 29, Kelly retired at 36, Aikman at 34. NFL QB career arc varies wildly. Mahomes has shown a penchant for injury toes, knees, due possibly to his double-jointedness - which could be argued either as a blessing or curse. Mahomes was also knocked out cold in college and recently in the Divisional round. Allen has suffered numerous injuries - elbow, shoulder, concussion. If I’m evaluating a QB I want to see 10-20 years of elite play. Mahomes game and weapons will evolve as will Allen’s. They won’t always have Kelce (31), Diggs (27), Beasley (31), Watkins (27), Hill (27), to throw the ball to. QBs will retire, new stars are coming. The key to success goes beyond QB, and is attributed to the organization, coaching and dare I say fanbase. If we’ve learned anything in the last 20 years is that stability is a main predictor of success.

The Bills definitely need to turn games like AFC Champ at KC into a street fight. Instead of focusing on improving the DL & OL two units that were thoroughly outplayed the buzz word coming out of KC was “speed”. The Bills didn’t lose because they were the slower team. They lost because they could not generate a pass rush with 3 or 4 DL, and they lost because their running game stunk outside of Josh Allen scrambling for 88 yards. The Bills need to go get some dogs. Sucks a guy like Wyatt Teller is playing at a Pro Bowl level, while we saw Feliciano 6’8” 330 get manhandled by Chris Jones. Not acceptable. Ike also got dominated.

I would have liked to play Mahomes without Eric Fischer at LT all game. The Bucs quality DL and physical corner play should be able to do enough to slow the Chiefs passing game. Mahomes will be challenged.

Source: LB Matt Milano looking for “top dollar” in FA
Dr.Sack replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like Milano, but do not think he’s a top level LB due to injury history. Let the man test the market & see what he’s offered. If the Bills don’t want to match the offer we will have to move on. I’m thinking his best offer will be 4 years at 9.0-12.0m a year with 20-25m fully guaranteed. -
Should NFL Adopt 3rd Place Game Week Before Super Bowl?
Dr.Sack replied to Dr.Sack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It’s done in soccer and the fanbases seem to embrace the idea. One more week to smash tables & get drunk. I don’t know, seems better than no game. -

Bills v Chiefs could be week 1 right? -
Should NFL Adopt 3rd Place Game Week Before Super Bowl?
Dr.Sack replied to Dr.Sack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Up the stakes. Put $ on the line for players & clubs, create a lottery pick for winner. Since these teams weren’t good enough allow them a chance to reload - some combo of higher draft pick / salary cap bonus. That could be the highest draft pick among playoff teams or a lottery pick between #1-#18. Due to randomness you wouldn’t see a player like Aaron Rodgers throw the game thinking if he were to win GB would draft Lawrence. NFL is rather predictable and bland. All I know is you are penalized for winning in the NFL & I’m not sure I agree with that idea. -

I was thinking the lowest seed in the playoff bracket. That would be the #19 pick. -

Edwards was hurt playing on the beach right? Sand football? -
I’m a big fan of soccer: World Cup, Olympics whose tournaments all have a losers bracket / 3rd place bronze game. Before you drag me for saying “everyone deserves a trophy” who wouldn’t want to see a Bills v Packers game tomorrow? I’d rather watch a 3rd place game then a meaningless Pro Bowl game. One last chance to see our 2020 Bills take down MVP Rodgers would have been fantastic. This is something I think the NFL should adopt and could be much prouder of than the Pro Bowl.

I was beating the hell out of Brady - IF it was us. Now that it’s Brady v Mahomes. I want to see that cocky look slapped off his face. Thankfully we helped soften up the pass pro. I want to see Bucs defenders crush Mahomes, Hill & Kelce & do so in embarrassing fashion.

It’s called I ran for 88 yards, threw for 285 and 2 TDs, took a beating and still it wasn’t enough. Kid wants to go to work in a few weeks and put the KC game behind him.
