Tyrod Taylor has 'nothing but love' for Buffalo
boater replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Laugh out loud, for realz. You can't win in the eyes of TSW. BAD sayers: A football personality says something bad, or even just a hint of bad, about Buffalo and they are publicly whipped and humiliated in the forums. Put in the stockades. (to wit: the hysterical reaction when some third bit media personality made a sleight of Buffalo recently in an effort to appear clever and woke) GOOD sayers: Say something nice about Buffalo, and there are those at TSW who will find a perceived wrinkle in your past and blast you apart... despite the sincerity you had for saying something nice. (there are those here who have excoriated Tyrod in this thread) It's just crazy. -
How Does a Bills Loss Affect Your Life?
boater replied to Billsfanatic8989's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I try to stay off The Stadium Wall for a few days after a loss. Some TSW people take a loss pretty aggressively. Did you know we should have drafted Mahomes? Did you know someone needs to be fired NOW after every loss? -

This Is Why Spending Big $ For A RB Is Not Wise:
boater replied to YodaMan79's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I didn't read all four pages of content, so please excuse any repetition I bring. There is a large legion of Bills fans who feel you can fix any part of the game by throwing money at it (they are also known as the "Ralph is cheap" crowd). How dare you insult them with facts. -
Players make more than coaches. Maybe Anderson will only accept player money. Sure, the Bills could pay a Coach Anderson player money, but that kind of outlier in the salary structure would be bad for the morale of other coaches.

New Era hasn't gone anywhere. Predicting a closed thread in 3.. 2.. 1..

Your creativity is noted, and appreciated. I tried to reply with an eloquent post about the value of picks versus cap hit.. but found it hard to verbalize. Short story: a 2nd and 5th for a disposable player is not something the Jags would offer (even to evade a cap hit). The Bortles market will heat up after the draft.

There are officials up the ying yang as it is. Also, TIME and RHYTHM are factors. Making a game consistently interrupted kills the fan experience. Also there is a TV taboo of making a game longer than three hours. I don't know the answer, but making games longer disqualifies any solution.

Just got a stadium survey from the Bills
boater replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
By the design of the survey you can see several objectives, determine: downtown or OP renovate or new build fan base tolerance of PSLs pricing point for various options in OP Peoples survey experience may differ because it seemed how you answered one question would cause custom follow-on questions. I'm glad the Pegula's are in charge. I expect a very professional and well thought out decision from them. Can't say the same for all the politicos and special interest groups in WNY. -
Who was GM when Jason Peters was dealt?
boater replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This ^^^ I'm a bit bitter toward Peters because the Bills gave this UDFA a big break and he dominated...but later he wouldn't return any sort of hometown loyalty, he became all about the $$. No gratitude. Selfish prick. -
Agree. Initially, I wasn't worried about Daboll being poached by another team. He is to mediocre and untested. But now I am worried Daboll could be a hot candidate. (I assume the Bills would let him interview) If the new HC standard views Kliff as HC material.. then Daboll must look like a gold plated candidate.

WR Duke Williams of CFL’s Eskimos Signs with Bills
boater replied to LEBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Every time I hear of someone named Duke, I think of Duke Nukem Let's hope he nukes them with the Bills. -
Buffalo's reputation amongst free agents
boater replied to clayboy54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Eeeewww, gross. Not a good business decision. They'll rethink when they get an outbreak of MRSA in their locker room. -
Interesting and optimistic point about our final record
boater replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like the cut of your jib. -
Three firings. That should appease those savages over at TSW. Having said that One: I take no joy in the thought of three families being uprooted and/or faced with uncertainty Having said that Two: My empathy with the families is tempered by the fact the Asst Coaches make a pretty good living and understand firings and moving on are part of the job.

If Mike Mayock had run our draft last five years
boater replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The professionals are better than Joe Average fan. Case in point: McBean have done very well with UDFA's. No way Joe Average could come anywhere close to doing as well. The pros have the edge provided by information gathered by the scouting department.
