    Income tax rates will play a factor when Free Agents look at Buffalo contract offers. NY taxes are among the highest in the country. Players will pay NY rates for 10 games a year (8 home games, 2 preseason). Players in Washington (though Seattle city limits has big taxes), Texas, Nevada, Florida pay ZERO income taxes.

    Every time a prolific offense comes along, the doomsayers pronounce the end of defense. Yet somehow, defense manages to survive. I remember talking heads burying defense when Kurt Warner had a hot hand with the St Louis Rams.

    Yeah.. no freaking kidding. That weight sneaks up like a Tsunami. I speak from experience. If I was recalled from retirement, I'd have to buy new larger uniforms. That bi-yearly weigh-in and risk of being thrown out keeps you inline.

    Our best QB is the raw rookie we drafted. I'm not upset about that.

    Don't worry. He'll get a chance to prove himself again--he'll get hired as a third of fourth training camp arm--by some team with the tools. Though, result will be the same: 32 starters + 32 backups + 6 fringe players = 70 NFL quality QB's exist in this world. Nate is probably #80 The no namer starting for the Bills today is probably #85

    You know it. I especially recall the past post that someone should be fired NOW because we passed on Mahomes. What is it with firing people that makes armchair fans get such a woody?

    I believe he's sincere saying he isn't tanking. Though, I think it's accurate to say he's not pulling out all the stops to win now. (thankfully he's not mortgaging the future to win now)

    If it were free, I'm all for a domed stadium. Jerry World or Atlanta, go big. If "Other People's Money" is not involved, I say repaint the Cap.

    True. In different words... Resigning existing talent is the end of a high performing team. The only way a team can beat the system long term is by drafting consistently well. Entry level contracts don't gut a team like free agent contracts.

    This caused me to do some Googling on XFL. If people want WWE, they'll WWE. They aren't going for hybrid football and wrestling. I give the league one year.. which is how long they lasted last time.
