  1. Win baby! Tanking leaves a dark cancer in the locker room which is hard to get rid of --- ask the Sabres.
  2. This came down to a printing contract. The BN is the biggest printer in WNY and wanted the contract to print game day programs. Sources report "you want the program printing contract--get rid of Bucky and Sully." As told to me by Dunkirk Don during a a break from one of our meetings.
  3. Nice post. I agree somewhat. I think Rex's positives were also his undoings. He was a happy go lucky blustering front man, which worked well in the PR department. No matter how much drano I use, I can't rid the picture of Rex and Bro riding the tandem bike around Delaware Park. Unfortunately, that living life on a a lark bled over to Rex's bread and butter which was running a football team. He ran to the team too casually and undisciplined, with no strategic plan whatsoever. His crass off field showmanship was no way to run an NFL team.
  4. There comes a point where consistently firing people becomes counter productive. There's a universe of Head Coach eligibles of about 50 people (including employed coaches). If you give an OC and HC a offensive roster of spam; and fire them because they can't make a steak dinner out of it --- potential HC's will read this as a hot headed owner to be avoided. You can't fire every two years and expect to later attract a Cowher, Reid, Belicheck etc. Though you might attract a Hue Jackson.
  5. Your lost me at "simple" Simple solutions to complex problems inevitably fail. It's well proven. Firing someone isn't going to turn the franchise around.
  6. Peterman will be cut when Anderson returns officially. Gotta say, Anderson v. Peterman is a toss up regarding who sucks more.
  7. I couldn't understand the mumbling cashier--after a couple 'pardon me' on my side she screamed at me. I walked out. It was Five Guy's Burgers, Glen Burnie MD--they hate customers. Come to think of it, all the stores in Glen Burnie hate customers. That entitled millennial customer hate is spreading like a cancer to a store near you.
  8. Are Pegs still paying Rex Ryan? Will Pegs still be paying McD if he is fired?
  9. doubt it, Oakland is trying pretty hard--and succeeding in their tank
  10. At least the Bills D is stout ha ha haha ha haha ha haha ha haha ha haha ha ha
  11. The Sabre youngsters are finally growing up. At the same time, the "system" coach appears to be having success. (I do not like system coaches) I'd say the Bill's are two years from rookie impact, two years from coaching impact. I know that timeline will burn the britches of many.. too bad, the truth can hurt.
  12. OMG, the base salary is fiscal insanity. Me thinks Sam is unemployed for the near future. Maybe forever.
  13. Let's Git'r Done Bean, Kick the tires. Sorry.. worn out cliches [spoken seriously from fans ] aren't worn out enough until you resurrect them and kick'em a few more times. You're assuming he's interested in coming to Buffalo.
  14. Dude, it seems you don't like change. No problem there, but you're gonna like irrelevance even less.
  15. I had my card skimmed (number stolen by a compromised terminal). It was my gas and grocery card, so I know it was skimmed at Aldi Maple Road. The dude made a successful purchase at ***** on Transit Road. The card was then denied and shutdown at Walmart Batavia. I was pretty impressed by the bank detected the fraudulent activity and shut it down so quick. I'm pissed the perp got a new pair of Nikes, which all us card holders end up paying for.
  16. Scott brand.. haha It's like wiping your butt with an emory board, you're sanding your butt clean with 500 grit. Conversely, there's Charmin--it's like wiping yourself with an inside out sweatshirt.
  17. Yes.. that was a Whaley era failing. Who is the dude who administered contracts? I forget his name. Oberdorfer, or something like that? Anyway, I feel like the staff that ran contract talks was operating without Doug's supervision. They gave away the store--almost every contract was overly in the player's favor. We're still paying the penalty this year. It will be nice to be out of cap hell next year. OTH, If Doug was behind those excessive contracts--shame on him.
  18. Lolz.. to those who say git'r done, or I'd kick the tires... Consider that he may not want to be here. Buffalo is not a well known career building hotbed.
  19. Yep. That's why I think it's a travesty to have him coached by a dude who never played QB before.
  20. These poll choices do limit the expression of fans; could probably use six choices in total. Good polls and surveys are surprisingly difficult. There are graduate level courses in surveys. There is even a PhD in Survey Methodology from Univ. of Maryland, College Park. ==================== Me: I'm a Peterman supporter when he starts, but when better options become available, it's time to move on from the stiff. The underlined part: it's a jab at the git'r done cut him now crowd, who just assume there's a magical pot of backup quality QB's waiting to be signed. We learned the shallow market for QB skills when we signed Derek Anderson--who is actually worse than Peterman, and was brought in as a desperate PR move.
  21. There weren't allot of options at the time. The word 'choice' misrepresents what happened. There was a crush of QB signings over a few days league wide---overpaid signings at that---AJ was the last semi-competent QB available.
