  1. Yep. Important. I translated to the first round to chart data so people can observe the slope of the curve, decay of value, as the picks progress. Chart tells that "there are first round picks and then there are real first round picks." The chart also lends semi-credence to those who complain that the Bills can't even lose the right way, always ending up 8-8 with a pick in the teens. I say semi-credence, because I believe tanking introduces a locker room culture cancer worse than the benefit (think of a hockey team we know). Anyway, I'm opposed to the Bills trade-packaging any first rounders to move up. It's nothing but car salesman's screw job. If they can't get a good QB with the picks they hold, then they should go free agent and pay the big money---use their first rounders for positions of need, which there are many. If the Bills trade away picks and end up with the next Ryan Lief, they loose the fan base.
  2. Attack Pegs? Were it not for Pegs, major league sports would be absent from WNY. You'd be arguing over the starting QB for UB. Were it not for Pegs, downtown would have zero value and suck money out of our pockets (property values be a many tentacled beast) You'd be arguing who pays demolition costs for blighted blocks of canalside. How about: attack Overdorf who gave overpaid contracts like candy on Halloween. Sure Dareus is good; but he wasn't worth the "contract that ate the Bills" hence he was cut How about blaming Whaley, Rex Ryan and brother... they sacrificed the Bills future hard and reckless, drove the Bills like a cheap rental car. Thrills now, maintenance for the next sucker. Blame Pegs if you want. But it's not like cheap Ralph. Blame Pegs and you'll be lonely crying those tears.
  3. Poor Dolphin game attendance demonstrates that University of Miami football is the #1 interest in Miami. University of Miami had a sellout home game yesterday. The Hurricanes beat Virginia, 44 to 28 at Hard Rock Stadium. It was a raucous crowd. NFL has some serious image problems to repair.
  4. Second half 5-3, overall 10-6 I see going undefeated at home, and winning one of the road games. Update 19 Nov: I was wrong
  5. August 1996. I was just returned from overseas assignment with my 486 COMPAQ desktop and a blistering fast 9600 baud dial up modem. I was in a scary Comfort Inn (or Econolodge) at Rt 301 and Rt 50 in Maryland.
  6. I'd like to see Coach be a practical WNY'r. (Canada too). Layers. A Goretex shell with Buffalo Bills marketing PLUS a separate underliner of whatever warm material. That's TWO, two marketable items in one. I'd buy.
  7. Patton read Rommel's book, and exclaimed after a victory in the desert to the effect "I read your book, you magnificent bastard" ..to Rommel. So Rommel is the Mag Bastard, Beane is GEN Patton. Yes? In any event, an awesome trade. Hadn't seen anything like it since the 3-way trade which brought Cornelius Bennett to Bflo.
  8. Sammy is a diva who aspired to the NY-DC-LA-DALLAS markets. There is no amount of money that would have kept him in Bflo. I'm glad we got something for someone we were going to lose anyway.
  9. ...I ready your book.. We have the GEN Patton of GMs.
  10. I'm so happy about this trade, I'll have a drink--but I'll be happier when KB passes his physical--then I'll drink some more. If he were to fail his physical--I'd have to have a drink then also.
  11. To me, he'll always be Mint Milano.
  12. He caught a few.. let's hope he has passed a tipping point and will catch many more from now on.
  13. Chris "No one circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills!" Berman is somewhere saying "Fvck Yeah!"
  14. Leslie Nielson to SDS: I just want to tell you good luck. We're all counting on you.
  15. Sounds like a plan. Land-get car, Original Pancake House in OP, then tailgate, watch game, celebrate victory, fly out.
  16. He's arriving at 6 AM. Someone give him a good breakfast tip that is on the way to the stadium. They'll be hungry. I'm a Northtowns guy, so I don't know where to go. (I'd go to The Original Pancake House, Williamsville, but that is out of their way)
  17. I wouldn't be surprised if Tyrod ends up in Green Bay, for their first round pick.
  18. Congratulations on the house closing. That's a life event. You can run down to any Walmart, or Target and get an "HD TV antenna." And it doesn't need to be sophisticated or costly. I used this $9 antenna for six months, no problem. You may have to experiment, point it in different directions. ------------------------------------- Aside: HDTV and "cord cutting" would be a good pinned topic in the Consumer Digest forum.
  19. Original source, Jeff Darlington, is ESPN reporter, which is an SJW playground. Looks like he's seeing what he wants to, not what it is.
  20. Anyone hear of this? https://twitter.com/JBurtonXP/status/911643048718848005/photo/1 I'm guessing fake news.
  21. Ted's Front Park burned down sometime in the early seventies. They still exist in other locations.
  22. Hold the front office accountable...How? Fine them? Run laps? Time out? Public apology and humiliation? Restrict their privileges? Send them a sternly worded email? Lock them up with a journalist? Dunking chair? Short of firing them, how do you wish to hold them accountable?
  23. Never heard of him... So get 'er done Russ, Doug, Brandon. ---BREAK--- Russ Brandon. Brandon Beane. Soul mates?
  24. Tanking is hard work. You suck so much, then all the sudden one weekend an opponent takes you for granted and doesn't arrive ready to play--then you get one of those dreaded W's. Jets get a 5-11 season. First pick goes to the 49's.
