I'm so happy about this trade, I'll have a drink--but I'll be happier when KB passes his physical--then I'll drink some more. If he were to fail his physical--I'd have to have a drink then also.

To me, he'll always be Mint Milano.

Leslie Nielson to SDS: I just want to tell you good luck. We're all counting on you. -
Sounds like a plan. Land-get car, Original Pancake House in OP, then tailgate, watch game, celebrate victory, fly out.

He's arriving at 6 AM. Someone give him a good breakfast tip that is on the way to the stadium. They'll be hungry. I'm a Northtowns guy, so I don't know where to go. (I'd go to The Original Pancake House, Williamsville, but that is out of their way)

Fairburn: Tyrod Taylor on the Verge of a Breakout Month?
boater replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wouldn't be surprised if Tyrod ends up in Green Bay, for their first round pick. -
How to get local channel without cable??
boater replied to BillsCuse's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Congratulations on the house closing. That's a life event. You can run down to any Walmart, or Target and get an "HD TV antenna." And it doesn't need to be sophisticated or costly. I used this $9 antenna for six months, no problem. You may have to experiment, point it in different directions. ------------------------------------- Aside: HDTV and "cord cutting" would be a good pinned topic in the Consumer Digest forum. -
Emergency Team Meeting - Regarding Trump comments?
boater replied to boater's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Original source, Jeff Darlington, is ESPN reporter, which is an SJW playground. Looks like he's seeing what he wants to, not what it is. -

Youse guys even suck at sucking
boater replied to Jimmy Spagnola's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tanking is hard work. You suck so much, then all the sudden one weekend an opponent takes you for granted and doesn't arrive ready to play--then you get one of those dreaded W's. Jets get a 5-11 season. First pick goes to the 49's. -
Who is Paying to Read Jerry Sullivan's Sob Stories?
boater replied to ROCBillsBeliever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not paying. $3.. price is entirely acceptable. But the last thing I need in life is another auto-recurring charge on my credit card. Caveat: I didn't try the registration process, but I imagine the only option is "bill me until canceled" Yeah. Warren Buffett/Berkshire Hathaway doesn't own slouch companies. -
So Tyrod hasent practiced in over a week and a half...
boater replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The protocol phases, for those who don't know it: Rest and recovery: Until a player returns to the "baseline level of signs and symptoms and neurological examination," only limited stretching and balance activities are recommended. Electronics, social media and team meetings are all to be avoided. Light aerobic exercise: The NFL recommends 10-20 minutes on a stationary bike or treadmill without resistance training or weight training. The cardiovascular activity is monitored by an athletic trainer to "determine if there are any recurrent concussion signs or symptoms." Continued aerobic exercise and introduction of strength training: Increased duration and intensity of aerobic exercise with strength training added. An athletic trainer will supervise to watch for recurrent concussions signs or symptoms. Football specific activities: The cognitive load of playing football will be added and players will participate in non-contact activities for the typical duration of a full practice. Full football activity/clearance: A player returns to full participation in practice, including contact without restriction. Looks like Tyrod did Step 4 today. If concussion symptoms don't return after non-contact practice, he can return to playing. source: https://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2016/9/18/12940926/nfl-concussion-protocol-explained -
That. If Beane did release Boldin without comp, he would forever in the future be putty in the hand during trade talks with other GMs. They'd think Beane was just a patsy. Also Beane's bargaining with free agents would be have friction as they think they could have their way with him. People who want to release Boldin no-strings because of his stature need to go back to Madden 2005.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/early-lead/wp/2017/08/29/lions-make-matthew-stafford-the-highest-paid-player-in-nfl-history/ Adam Schefter says: 135 mil for 5 years, 27 mil a season for a QB that: Ya think.. with these economics, that tanking and getting a hot rookie QB sounds good? I'm starting to think so. As in, getting a good rookie contract for five years is better than paying bug bucks to mediocre veteran QBs? Aside: whoever does contracts in Detroit is worse than ole Overdorf.. and the entire league ownership is angry at him/her.

Dude.. they got this thing called CPAP. You gotta try it. Love your Billieve ... and it is not misplaced. Terry and Kim will get 'er done within the next 3 years. Maybe 2.

Where do you think or D will rank this year and why
boater replied to PNW_Bills_Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
On paper, with good talent well matched to the scheme, I'd say the D is Top 10 for sure. But the offense is going to be very bad. Multiple 3-and-out offensive drives per game are going to keep the D winded and less effective, and possibly lead to injuries. -
Character & Jordan Matthews
boater replied to MarlinTheMagician's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I watched 30/30 this AM. It was the 1988 "on paper athletically out gunned character team" of Notre Dame v. Miami, aka the Catholics v. Convicts game. Spoiler: character won. -
I disagree with the popular sentiment on this board--that packaging picks to draft a "franchise" QB is the way forward. McD and Bean have shown they value the draft to acquire talent. They loves some draft picks. They'll draft a QB with a pick if they like him, but they aren't going to package picks to move up to select a particular person. It's not how they roll, IMO. The future is indeed bright -= IF =- Bean and McD are good draft day operators.

Pats become 1st NFL team to buy 767 (2) to fly to games

Deflate the game balls. But inflate the autopilot. The Patsies will need to change from sucking to blowing. ...lame... someone fix that for me. -
The Golden Age of Football is Over?
boater replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seriously, the Golden Age of Franchise Quarterbacks is coming to an end. There are not enough franchise QBs today (previous thread here seemed to agree that only about 15 FQB's exist). Imagine the shortage a couple years from now when this group highschoolers in draft status. Maybe the Jets are right to tank.
