  1. You are assuming all of these are unforced errors. So Eddie Yarborough's pressure on Simien for INT #2 doesn't mean anything? Von Miller wasn't peeved about getting to Taylor a second late due to a good blocking scheme? Recognition by the punt return team of different personnel to stop the fake. Lastly haven't you seen enough Leodis McKelvin dropped INTs to know you still have to catch the ball? Let's give the Bills a little credit can't we?
  2. What is the big deal with Jin Kelly giving his opinion to the radio station? Lesean voiced his, why can't JK? Like anyone's opinion you take it or leave it, who cares? It also seems to me that JK didn't like THE WAY Lesean was protesting, not that he was protesting. I kind of agree. Kneeling and/or holding arms stands for something around current challenges. Stretching, flipping through your phone, or counting your benjamins, is disrespectful to the other 60, 70 or 80% of the fabric of this nation people might be proud of, even Lesean.
  3. Have you heard of the franchise tag????? The CBA protects against this. This terrible argument keeps getting thrown out there.
  4. I think it is a mistake to take the statement that they don't set the edge as gospel. All of those extended arms by the outside guys are edge set contain moves. What do we do against it? I don't think you have to look farther than Witten's stat line 10 - 97 - 1 TD. That is a 35 yr. old TE averaging almost 10 yards a reception. We are going to have to have both TEs slipping out and catching short passes. With great blocking by the WRs that could be a way to move the ball. Rolling out Tyrod on these plays could help as well. It is nice that we were able to get film of them stopping the run against Dallas. Now we will see what this coaching staff can do with it.
  5. I read through this to get an update on his injury. I had not idea the insanity was going off the rails like this. What a nice look at Cordy Glenn's contract in isolation that was but you better take a bigger look at what Beane is doing to our cap before you start adding more dead money by cutting our LT.
  6. I am a Buffalo native living in Denver and I can tell you that playing here is the biggest home field advantage in sports. Stats to back it up - 2nd best home winning % since 1970 to the Steelers. That being said Von Miller is going to have his way with Jordan Mills. I will never consider him one of the best because he rushes over the RT but it seems to work for them. I'm hoping we roll out left all game to make plays. Siemian is a really accurate QB as well. He is better than people give him credit for. All in all I am really glad we are playing this in Buffalo and I think that is the only reason we have a shot.
  7. Zay trips over the foot of the CB which doesn't help the route but I am wondering how Tyrod throws that any better WITHOUT the zone corner getting a hand on it? It is a corner route not a sideline route. Tyrod throws to the space doesn't he? It is also important to note that Tyrod let's it go way before Zay turns his head. 30 yd throws are low percentage and I think we understand why today. I just don't think it is accurate to say it was a horrible throw under those conditions.
  8. OFFENSE - McCoach's knowledge of the personnel certainly can't hurt however even if he knows every play in their offensive playbook it won't help unless he knows their game plan this week. DEFENSE - Advanced knowledge of the personnel should help McCoach and Dennison game plan and isolate the weaker links in the Carolina defense.
  9. I guess that was more smoke up our butts from the current regime if muzzling Whaley is the case. We will see how long it takes before the Buffalo media vultures start tearing into Beane, the easy target that he is.
  10. What happened to one face to the franchise and McD being it? Beane is getting in front of the camera/radio all the time. I see a bit of an ego there trying to get out from under the shadow of Gettelman where he has been for years. He is going to rid this team of every Whaley asset over the next couple of years so he can tell the world "I did it 100%". I hope he is right but I don't think he is going about it the right way. Any asset Beane inherited he is responsible for. A close watch will be on to see how many of the jettisoned Bills play well this year. Draft picks are hit or miss and he is counting on filling a lot of holes with those 10 picks next year.
  11. Does it matter that Beane didn't draft Ragland? All new GMs inherit assets and if you trade them away for less than they are worth (or perceived worth) you are still making that mistake, You are making the decision to set the organization back.
  12. Exactly right. Why people are saying Whaley made mistakes and not factoring in that he had to manage this landscape is beyond me.
  13. Was the injury to Matthews a "freak injury" - No. An obscure one maybe but not freak injury. Football has injuries and it was a normal play not a kevin kolb mat trip. A good "process" as coach continually preaches, has risk mitigation built in, The Bean/McDermott process fell down in this respect and we will see it week one with QB/WRs not being on the same page no matter who is at QB. Trading Sammy has multiple levels of impact that have been discussed in other threads and being ungodly thin at outside WR is just another one of them. So much in fact that a WR that could have been cut (Holmes) now looks like a starter. Processes have process controls are measured.
  14. I now know that Marcel Dareus is not very flexible but willing to give his QB pre practice hugs. All in all it was a good reason to have an early beer here out west and kick off camp.
  15. Cousin Eddy to Clark Grizwold anyone????
  16. Here is the positive spin. If you look at the results of losing that last game it was a brilliant move by Whaley. If we win that game we are in a log jam draft position wise with a bunch of other teams. By losing we secured the #10 pick which we parlayed into an additional first rounder next season by trading back. It is doubtful that Mahommes would have been available later in the draft for us to trade out of our pick had we won that final game. I am not a fan of tanking or losing games on purpose but in hindsight it meant nothing with the eventual house cleaning. It will all come down to who we select next year with the KC pick but right now losing that game looks brilliant.
  17. I wonder if there is a chapter on getting beaten the tar out (like the Texans playoff game last year) at age 39 and back at practice 3 days later fully recovered WITHOUT the use of HGH? If so maybe James Harrison could write the prologue.
  18. Well put! And while I wasn't around for the Bills games there, I am more impressed with the guys who carried kegs into the Rockpile to watch games than someone jumping off their father's Land Rover onto a folding table. Young and old have both been through the 17 year drought. It just seems like the older crowd is more focused on understanding the game, team infrastructure, and Xs and Os than the shock value of "Bills Mafia" tweets and videos.
  19. Tony Dorsett won every award imaginable. Heisman, Rookie of the year, MVP, Superbowl, etc. He was way better than Emmit Smith and a cowboy fan over the age of 40 would tell you that. Emmit Smith benefitted from one of the top offensive lines in NFL history.
  20. How is this not a rebuild? New Coach and staff, new GM and administrative staff, new scouting staff and not to mention new Offensive and Defensive schemes. That is the entire organization. I wonder how they are even finding their way around the building. What examples are there out there where this much change has occurred and found immediate success for a franchise? What is the normal timeline for the successful full scale changes? For everyone who was clamoring for full scale change you are about to find out that change for the sake of change does not usually generate positive results (see original Obama campaign slogan).
  21. It depends, if I draft Brady do I get to pre snap headset him what the other defense is going to do for the first 4-5 years so he can cheat the QB learning curve and develop into a superstar?
  22. I didn't see any mention of WR Dede Westbrook. If you have not watched anything on him it is worth a look. He has a different gear and could be had late in Rd 2 or early 3rd. I also like Webb as a prospect.
  23. Groy at RT? I know Groy played well at center down the stretch but did anyone watch him play guard in the pre season? I was surprised he made the roster honestly. He is a monster that can hide at center but at guard and especially tackle he would be exposed. I like him as a backup center and swing guard but nothing more. Go to the tape before you pencil him in at RT. If Kuanjo at LT is the best combo then go for it.
