I am in the same boat as far as displeasure with Beane and his insecure tear down. It's not a rebuild, it is a tear down IMO. Adding two players with first round picks does not signal a rebuild. The cap is in the worst position it has ever been for the Bills. And before you say that he had to cut the previous contracts you may want to research it - 50%+ of the dead cap are contracts from Beane's own doing. The real problem with Beane is he hasn't even learned the hardest lesson of being the Buffalo Bills GM. It is difficult to lure free agents to Buffalo as a destination and on top of that New England runs our division. Posters are going to say they go where the money is but then why are we the only team in the league where guys don't even show up when claimed and/or quit at halftime. Most of us were born in Buffalo and love it, but 22 yr old soon to be millionaires who only see it on TV when there is a snowstorm have different opinions. Unless Carolina's entire offense has their contracts expiring I don't see how Beane can rebuild this offense next year no matter how much cap space. Especially with a stronger defensive as opposed to offensive free agent pool and draft class. I do think you went too far in writing off Zay Jones and Shady already though. We have a really strong defense and I think that goes without question. But to say we are the #3 defense is not accurate IMO. Games are decided by points, not yards. Therefore I believe we are the # 13 ranked scoring defense and I think that is more realistic. Are we playing better than that yes, because #13 is obviously skewed because of the two early season beatings.

Bojorquez should be cut
buffalostu2 replied to DabillsDaBillsDaBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
On this play I thought Bojorquez had an angle to make the tackle and just peeled off to avoid contact. I know it's not his primary job but it annoyed me. -
Star and Shaq Stats Alarming
buffalostu2 replied to BuffaloBillsMagic1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ugh have we not jettisoned enough players already? We have 90 mil in cap space next year and we are complaining about how much guys are making? Does anyone really think we are going to spend 90 mil next year? We can't just get rid of players because they didn't meet the round they were drafted in or aren't pro bowlers. If Shaq were a fourth rounder, would you cut him? So you want to get rid of Star after four games and suck up 50 mil in dead cap. ' Horrible post. I can't believe I was suckered into responding -
It may have been to take advantage of the backup guard that started for Green Bay. I believe it was RG

I remember when receivers got three years to develop. I guess that doesn't exist anymore.

The benefit of airing it out isn't just the 1 in 5 chance it is completed. Bombs loosed up the defense, drop the safeties and open up the middle. Same way reverses keep the Defensive Ends at home rather than gaining big yards

Alabama would beat the Buffalo Bills, 'analysts' say
buffalostu2 replied to Heavy Kevi's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don't we have two Bama starters from their team last year that are at the bottom of the lineup and on the practice squad? -
Tanner Gentry is the exact WR Bills should sign

Starting a Cory Coleman Conspiracy

I wish we had him. Even if he only played 10 game last year we won 9 of them Why wouldn't it just have been included in the original trade? -
The Game Plan Moving Forward

I know it will be met with some snarky comments but what about Incognito? He is a pro bowl guard who is available and wants to play. He was fine when he was in the 716. Desperate times call for desperate measures -
I don't think it is a matter of make up. Like David Carr, we watched it happen to Rob Johnson. Once a QB starts getting pummeled they begin to watch the pass rush rather than keeping eyes downfield on the receiving options. That is a human survival instinct that is a product of getting sacked that kicks in not some predetermined genetic make up. Agree?

McBeane's way of rebuilding makes no sense
buffalostu2 replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How is it a waste of time to be upset over Vontae Davis signing for 5 million then not dressing. We let a playoff caliber CB (in this D) in EJ Gaines walk and then sign for $4 million. Even if Gaines was hurt a lot we still won the games he played in. Plus Davis has the same or worse injury history. Is it a waste of time to second guess a starting CB decision? How does McBeane get a pass from you on that one? As for building through the draft, how can you build an entire roster with 7 picks per year on 4-5 year contracts? You have to utilize free agency, trades, and eventually resign existing core players to make it work. You should review our dead cap situation on Spotrac. The split between contracts in the dead cap is 51% Whaley, 49% Beane already. Is it a knee jerk reaction when we go from a playoff roster to what we viewed on Sunday? -
We should have known the Bills wouldn't have been ready. We had competitions at QB, C, and CB going right up to the week before the game. Those were arguably the worst positional performances of the game too. Not enough time or reps to get ready. Our worst fears were realized - we had three QBs (one in Oakland) all partially ready to play. Center/O line were not together and CB turned into a debacle with Davis not even suiting up. Poor process planning and execution to get ready for the opener.

Judging Beane’s decisions so far
buffalostu2 replied to simpleman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
52% of the dead cap dollars were Whaley contracts, 48% of it was Beane contracts. That is too much too soon. Compare Beane to SF and other teams that have 2nd year GMs. None have 53 million in dead cap or a lower payroll. Also did any team spend 50 million in free agency this past year? Ever? You can't do it so having it is not an asset. Money needs to be on the field. -
For the 2018 Bills, Mack = Mario
buffalostu2 replied to george c's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We don't even have enough cap space to pay Mack's 2018 salary not even considering the extension. We may have guys coming in for workouts but I would guess we don't sign anyone with only 9 mil in space for this season. Figuring in injuries and replacement players that is about the minimum you would go into a season with. Stop shopping at the top and hit the bargain bin for 2018. -
Jalen Ramsey trash talking a lot of QB's
buffalostu2 replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Only an idiot would judge a superbowl winner by two games in his career. He obviously didn't see Flacco's high point in Denver as I did. Maybe he is not what he was but he still has a ring and earned. What has Ramsey earned? Some writer awards?
