  1. I had this thought this morning as well looking at the trade value chart. We owe the Rams a punch in the nose just for this being a possibility. I am not sure Rosen would be there guy and I hope he is not ours unless he falls all the way to 12. How do you think Belichek would do with a rookie QB who wants every one of his questions answered before he does his job? Also the Pats have holes at QB and CB to fill. Even though the traditional draft chart says they can get to #9 with their first round picks that won't hold up this year. We for one have too much ammo.
  2. First year of draft coverage - c'mon
  3. Metro sexual morning football is hardly the place to go for Bills or any other football info. It makes the old Mike and Mike show look hardcore.
  4. Peter Schrager???? Have we now officially hit rock bottom for sources and opinions?
  5. I am a Lauletta fan but why is he up there as an option for the FIRSTpick?
  6. So we have already crowned Beane a genius before he selects one player? I think the tune will change when he hits on only 40% of his picks (like all GMs) and we realize he traded away talent for chance. The best thing Beane has going for him is that he has a great coach. it is foolish to think that there won't be growing pains with a rookie GM
  7. If you are a non believer in Lauletta review the combine throwing sessions. As far as accuracy and are strength I had him only behind Mayfield. Also he is going go day two so not a late round prospect. Do the research, he is a better prospect than Josh Allen In my perfect world we get Mayfield between picks 6 to 12 if not I would be happy with Lauletta late in the 2nd or 3rd.
  8. Good in a phone booth like a cow walking on ice
  9. Then is has to be worse for a number of other QBs who threw at the Combine. Outside of Allen and Mayfield his was throwing as hard as anyone else. Much harder and sharper than Rudolph. Check the Combine throwing session. Apples to apples
  10. Cooks is on a one year deal for the 23rd pick in the draft. That is not good value
  11. Is this in case the QB doesn't pan out? Is that overpay? There is a chance the traded picks don't pan out either. I am in the camp of get a QB with one more trade up. But if you have to trade up twice, get it done
  12. Broadway Joe. Also please run this exercise for every QB who was great in the NFL and their school
  13. That would be insane for us to do but the Giants should ask. These QBs aren't can't miss. Questions on throwing motion, concussions, height and accuracy are too much to give away three first rounders + to move 10 spots. If we were to make this deal it would certainly be because we traded Tyrod and are stuck with McCarron.
  14. What about when Peterman was in there?
  15. Beware of a stud LB at 12 Roquan Smith. I know that would drive people batty though
  16. Schoop is the worst by far. I can't believe there are people on this thread calling his show "smart". Wow!
  17. The pick at 65 is nice but not better than 2-4 more wins next season. The reality is Cap Space does not make plays and even if you have a ton of cap space free agents are hesitant to go to Buffalo and even more so if we post 6 wins next season with McCarron which is my projection. Tyrod was the better bridge because we could continue to build and win games and he could also teach a rookie about hard work which wasn't a question with Tyrod.
  18. Leadership major in college. Our coach might like that
  19. Don't hate me Joe :-) There is a rumor on another board that we are trading for Foles. Wouldn't a MLB at 12 be a good thing then? Albeit Foles is not my first choice
  20. I agree but if you can't get any farther, or the top 4 QBs are gone by 5 or 6. This is a great spot to get our 2nd biggest need
  21. I think this switched to Tahir Whitehead. Here is a great scouting report on him as a free agent, not rookie. I liked him originally but now I don't see him as an upgrade to Humber. http://www.detroitlionspodcast.com/bryce-rossler/2018/01/24/free-agent-linebacker-tahir-whitehead/
  22. It may be likely but why is it a given that this move is to get in better position to trade up again for a top QB? 12 is exactly where Georgia Middle Linebacker Roquan Smith is supposed to go and the Bengals were a common spot he was mocked to. We have a defensive coach and MLB is the biggest need behind QB. Smith is also a leader and fits the McDermott player profile. I know we all want a QB but just saying
  23. You probably don't want to admit it but Whitner's college career and capabilities at the time justified the pick. The math they didn't do was how would his attitude be playing in a dysfunctional organization
  24. Good point here, not to mention what if Dawkins gets hurt? Can people envision what would happen there? We have the cap room, have a good player under contract, why move him? For a 4th or 5th? Cap space? Cap space doesn't perform on the field.
