Why not snap the ball at the last possible second according to the play clock to give them less time to operate? If we try to trade rhythm up tempo possessions with them we are going to get murdered, we always do. Fewer possessions gives them less times to figure out our D and less time to score. Keeping the score low worked for the 90's Giants so why would we not take that chance?

You might as well push for the top ranked defense in yards instead of points while you are at it. Points is all that matters. It's hubris or just plain inexperience for them to think that they can hand pick every single guy on the roster and not have to coach players that were here, even if they weren't "you're guys". On average coaches get 3 to 3.5 years and GMs get 4 to prove they deserve the job, no matter what contract they sign. You can't completely tear down a roster and build it from scratch and expect the talent to mature and succeed in that time frame. These guys should know that no matter how green they are. Outside of safety and one corner spot I don't see any real committed building blocks on this roster and agree almost every position is in need of an overhaul this offseason. Hopefully things become clearer down the stretch.

Unless they test for HGH and other illegal supplements I am not sure hitting him will work outside of the current game. I remember last year or the year before when the Texans destroyed Brady all game and he was back practicing two days later at 38/39 years old. I thought Whaley was one of our better GMs. He found players on the street and was creative with trades. His downfall was the coaching changes. If the rookie owners stayed out of it he might have had a chance. He was also drafting for a different scheme every two years and that is impossible.

If I ran TwoBillsDrive I would not be upset to hear from customers on what they would like to see in the site. Reading the Buffalo News you learn very little about the Bills IMO. There are other writers that teach you about the intricacies of the Bills offense/defense and organization as a whole that i would much rather see linked on this site. We are an educated fan base, the materials posted on a great site like TwoBillsDrive should reflect that IMO.

How can we possibly accept these grades when he doesn't know what the players responsibility is on each play? What are his qualifications? Watching the Bills? Don't we have that covered? I don't want to be a hypocrite, I listen to Joe B for updates but I would not make personnel moves based on his grades or PFFs.

I think it is a tear down, not a tank. Baby Beane wants out from under Gettelman's shadow so he is getting rid of Whaley's players so in a few years he can say he did it all himself. If it comes to it and he finds a way to get rid of any of Tyrod, Dareus or Glenn our cap is going to be in disarray. This board will torch him for all the dead cap money and situation. Also - draft capital doesn't just have to be used on draft picks.

Thank you for pointing this out. You are exactly right. All bonus money hits the cap immediately if moved. Post June 1st is a cut not trade scenario and has nothing to do with this post. I wish your post was second on this topic to squash this, A better topic would be just what Bean is doing to the cap. If people were to investigate next year's cap is not nearly as rosey as it was previously stated.

People are forgetting how bad Groy was last preseason at Guard. He played very well at Center for Wood but as a guard he was terrible. If everyone is this mad at Beane for the WR debacle, wait until we start to analyze what he is doing to our cap with trades and cuts. So much dead cap will be on the books the next two years.
