  1. That's kinda been my problem as well. Every time I consider it, I stumble across something else. It'll probably end up being one of those things I end up kicking myself for never buying once they're sold out.
  2. Nice. I've thought about ordering one a few times but could never bring myself to do it.
  3. True, but in fairness to EJ, you also have to consider that Orton is 3rd in the league in pass attempts per game, where EJ was 20th. Granted, given that Orton is averaging 7.2 yards per attempt vs 6.4 for EJ, he'd have more yards for the same number of attempts.
  4. Yep. I do think the better QB is starting right now, but I also don't think EJ was anywhere near as bad as some of his critics make him out to be. Hopefully he'll learn from his time on the bench, because honestly, he's probably going to have to play some later this year unless the pass protection improves.
  5. There's really not a huge statistical difference between he and Manuel from an overall standpoint. Given that they have a similar number of attempts, you can make a decent direct comparison. Orton: 124 attempts, 85 completions (68.5%), 890 yards, 5 TD, 3 INT, 7.2 YPA, 10.5 YPC, 13 sacks. Manuel: 131 attempts, 76 completions (58.0%) 832 yards, 5 TD, 3 INT, 6.4 YPA, 11.0 YPC, 7 sacks Point production is pretty similar, 19.75 with Manuel, 18.7 with Orton. That largely agrees with what I've seen. There's not a huge overall difference, except for one. Orton makes plays late in games that EJ doesn't and that's why he's on the field instead.
  6. 9 catches, 240 yards and 1 TD. Speaking for myself, I can overlook an early fumble on a day like that.
  7. It came along a season later. That game happened in 1998. The Bills defense was good in '98, but not at the level of the '99 version.
  8. Not only still arguing, but still arguing about which QB stunk marginally less than the other.
  9. A sense of excitement? Not really. The Bills have had a revolving door at QB for most of the last fifteen years. I expect this one to make as much difference as the others. Good luck to Orton, he'll need it.
  10. 1) C 2) C 3) A 4) D 5) B 6) A 7) C 8) B 9) D 10) F 11) D
  11. Therein lies the problem. Even they admit he's a fringe player in the NFL and those types are a dime a dozen.
  12. Only if they think he's better than what they have. He doesn't 'deserve' a chance any more than anyone else does.
  13. Wood is largely correct, although its more than just ESPN. All the attention from all corners for a 7th round pick is absurd. That being said, I don't think Sam made much of an effort to avoid it all, especially this spring. Regardless, I'm sure he'll be on the ESPN payroll within a month if he doesn't get signed to a practice squad somewhere.
  14. I'm not one to 'boo', but I can understand why people would. I doubt many of those fans spent their time and money hoping to see their home team take a 24-0 beating in the first half. If they don't want the fans to boo, perhaps they should consider putting a competitive product on the field.
  15. Nor do I, but then again, they're making it up as they go in DC these days, anyway, so the Patent Office may as well get in on the act, too.
  16. What, you mean you expect the Senate to actually do its job and tackle a real problem? That's too hard. Besides, its an election year, and how better to gain some support for the party than to stir up some good, old fashioned manufactured outrage.
  17. It was Marillion, the singer who accompanied Catelyn to the Eryie after she had Tyrion taken prisoner.
  18. I just want to take a minute to say congrats to the other 40 guys drafted in the 7th round that no one gives a damn about.
  19. To add to your point a little, Kelcy Quarles of South Carolina was 3rd in the SEC with 9.5 sacks this season. He went undrafted as well. The simple fact is that the draft is highly competitive from a player's perspective. There's a reason it was 12 rounds as recently as 1992. There's still plenty of talent in seven rounds and its hardly unheard of for a midround projection to fall out of the draft after a disappointing combine or other misstep along the way.
  20. Yep, that's pretty much it.
  21. For the price tag of a late 7th round pick, I'll take this kind of risk any day. If you're going to miss, you may as well miss on a player with some potential. And who knows, maybe they can straighten him out.
  22. Not really. While I thought there was an argument to be made for selecting one late as a contingency plan, it doesn't bother me that they didn't do it.
  23. For that last pick, I hope they pick a TE. If they make another Randell Johnson type pick on pure potential, Blake Annen of Cincinnati would be a good choice.
  24. If he can play NFL football, ok, but I'd be pretty disappointed in this front office if they made that move only as a PR stunt and a nod toward the political correctness crowd.
  25. I wouldn't complain if they picked Andre Williams at RB in R4.
