  1. 1) Tyrod Taylor 2) Ryan Fitzpatrick 3) Drew Bledsoe 4) Doug Flutie 5) Rob Johnson 6) Kyle Orton 7) JP Losman 8) Trent Edwards You know its a weak group when Tyrod Taylor and Ryan Fitzpatrick are at the top of the list.
  2. Too late for that, I think. After that final scene between the two, I think Jaime is through with her for good. The next time we see him, I think it'll be at Winterfell.
  3. Someone might want to remind Vince that he has a higher career interception percentage than Fitz does.
  4. Unless Nathan Peterman falls on his face, I would expect that Cardale Jones is the odd man out and will probably be gone sooner rather than later.
  5. From what I've seen of him, there's nothing wrong with his arm. He's certainly not John Elway, but he has a good enough arm to get by with. About average, maybe a little better, from what I can see.
  6. I think you're absolutely right. Once I realized that Whaley was very much prioritizing the wrong attributes at the position, I also realized he'd never find a quality QB and probably never get them past being a .500 team. Its unfortunate, because I think he was otherwise a decent GM, but he had a BIG blind spot at QB.
  7. I like it a lot and I thought he was someone they might have considered in R3 had they kept that pick. This potentially fills a need for a backup QB, but also gives them another option at the position heading into the next offseason should they decide to dump Tyrod.
  8. I'd consider taking Peterman or Webb in R3. Get him a year in the system and have another option at QB heading into the next offseason, especially if next year's QB draft turns into a dud.
  9. Another first round rent-a-CB. Same old Bills. Oh well, at least they traded down.
  10. I don't get it, either. This is their 2nd full year of ownership of the team. Its going to take some time and they're going to make mistakes along the way, but they seem to be making a genuine effort. If they keep making the same mistakes over and over, yeah, I might join in, but I can't fault them so far.
  11. While my sense is that Whaley is part of the problem, if they're determined to keep him, at least Pegula appears to be putting him in a position where there won't be any more excuses for failure. He either gets it right or he's out the door in a couple of years.
  12. Zack is even more worthless than Carl from TWD, which takes some effort, I might add. Nothing unexpected, he's a complete dip**** in the books, too. Speaking of which, I was really hoping they weren't going to turn Fet into the annoying douchebag that he was later in the books. He'd probably been my favorite character in the series up until three or four episodes ago, but now? Unfortunately, it looks like they're going to go with it here, too. The guy playing Palmer as the master (which is a major change, BTW) almost ruined the entire episode by overacting it...badly. I hope he gets that sorted out by next season. Overall, I thought the season finale was kind of a stinker. Oh well, on to next season.
  13. Yes. They might dispose of some of them this way, but a certain percentage will be kept alive and either farmed or used for other purposes. As far as the ship is concerned, I'm almost certain that they showed us what was on it in the last episode.
  14. Exactly. They don't want to kill or turn everyone, but instead are setting up to more or less farm humans. So, any guesses as to what was on the ship? I don't know for an absolute certainty, but since I've read it and I don't think they're straying THAT far from it, I'm not going to potentially spoil it. Just curious as to what everyone thinks.
  15. Unfortunately, the ratings so far this year have been pretty poor. I'm not sure why that is and I don't think its a reflection of quality, but regardless, the announcement that its going to get a fourth season and an ending were welcome news to me. I've been expecting it to be cancelled at the end of this season. I might be more disappointed if I hadn't read the books, but based on where they're at in the story, and that they have about 20 episodes left, I think they can give it the proper ending the show and the fans deserve. I was thinking that they did 10 episode seasons like Game of Thrones, but its actually 13. I think we have 8 more this year and 13 next year. That should be enough. ---Actually, now that I've checked, it seems they have changed the episode order for season 3. The previous two were 13 episodes each, this one only 10. Assuming season four is also 10 episodes instead of 13, that cuts six remaining episodes, and so it may force them to rush the ending some.
  16. FX announced today that season 4 will be the final season. Based on where they're at right now in the book story line, that might be rushing it just a bit, but I think they can do it as long as this season wraps up the material from the 2nd book.
  17. Well, that sucks. I guess that's what the mute button is for. Either that, or I'll just find something else to watch.
  18. Yes, I was deeply saddened when they lost yesterday. This morning, it looks like the Serbian women's indoor volleyball team is going to lose, too. Its all quite unfortunate, really.
  19. As far as I'm aware, that contraption was never reintroduced to the US market after the enormous initial backlash against it, the company, and the two or three dealers that (almost) agreed to carry it. I'm still trying to figure out who they thought was going to buy an $1800 .22 pistol, anyway, especially when a person can buy 5 or 6 of their competitors' products for the same price.
  20. She'd never even considered it at all at the beginning of the story, though, because she'd expected that Viserys would be the one to reclaim the throne. But when he was killed, things changed. In fact, the balance of power in their relationship had shifted even before that, but that's probably another topic. Regardless, from that point forward, it was all about retaking the Iron Throne on the basis of her being the only living heir to the last Targaryen king. She does try to convince herself at times that she's doing it to leave the world a better place for the commoners, which she has been better at in the show than the books, but in the end, I think its very much a secondary motivation for her. That's not really who she is or what she's about, and the fact that Barristan Selmy and now Tyrion have had to reign her in from taking overly harsh actions is strong evidence of it.
  21. For my part, I think you're absolutely right about that. Her primary motivation has always been her sense of entitlement that she deserves the Iron Throne as the daughter of Aerys Targaryen.
  22. One idea that's out there is that Lyanna not only wanted Ned to protect Jon, but also to press Jon's claim to the Iron Throne as Rhaegar's heir. As such, Ned actually broke part of his promise to her.
  23. I hate making comparisons, but yes, he does remind me quite a bit of Fred Jackson.
  24. Its been a year and a half since he's been on the field, but I've seen a significant majority of his college plays. Taking their entire careers into account, he was a better player at Arkansas than Alex Collins was, which isn't a knock against Collins. The writeups are generally accurate to my impression of him: he's a high effort, physical and consistent between the tackles runner with just enough speed and quickness to make someone miss or to do serious damage outside. The one thing that always stood out to me that was that he's one of those guys who always seems to find that extra yard or two (or three or four) when he should be tackled. Plus, he catches the ball well enough to get by with. The only thing I can really knock him for is that he fumbles a little too often while fighting for extra yardage. In any case, if he comes back 100% from that injury, I think the Bills and the fans will be happy they picked him.
  25. You're right. After double-checking that scene, it actually was Carl rather than Glenn.
