Depending on how handy you are, you can modify Greenworks batteries to work in Kobalt tools (& vice versa). Alternately, you can swap out the innards.

Chiefs Request Christmas Game Yearly
eSJayDee replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
The only advantage I can see is if they host, the visitors will be traveling on a short week. Yes, that's an advantage, but I think it also would displease their players, particularly those w/ kids. -
Hoecht and Ogunjobi 6 game suspension for PEDs
eSJayDee replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm wondering about the cap ramifications. If Hoecht has a $3m base salary for '25, presumably we get $1m+ cap relief (6/17 of that for which he's out). Ogunjobi seems to be $8.3m (w/ $8m guaranteed) w/ no bonus for just '25, so that presumably saves us almost $3m in cap savings. Yes? -
We didn't necessarily just "flush it down the toilet". Granted, the benefit we got from him this year was negligible & he may quite possibly sign elsewhere. But, if he does... depending on what we do elsewhere WRT Free Agent signings & losses, we may very well be entitled to compensation if he signs elsewhere. Doubtful it'll be a 3rd round, but if it's a 4th you got a contributor for a fraction of a season which served as a "tryout" for next season (I don't think you should discount this benefit) tghat seems like a worthwhile trade, even if the compensatory pick is delayed a year.

1st person came to mind was "Friggin Lonnie" (Johnson). Next who immediately came to mind & others have mentioned is BJ Hobart. Peterman played one game where I think he was literally the worst statistical QB ever.

Interesting that it said "fired", rather than "parting ways", or something similar. Granted, it's a reporter rather than an official source. Curious what is said when the Bills announce it.

I think one question is - why would you want to? The idea is to get someONE open. Doesn't matter who. Yes, you'd rather have someone wide open 30 yds downfield as opposed to 3, but it's much easier to take what the defense gives you. If you're trying to "scheme" that guy open 30 yds downfield, that is much easier accomplished if the defense doesn't know who you're gonna throw it to. Look at the success throwing to Diggs as opposed to Shakir or Kincaid the end of '23. Shakir was FAR more successful - more completions for more yards on far less attempts.

Most memorable commercial ever IMO. Definitely got your attention. -
Hot Take: Does Bobby Babich Lose His Job?
eSJayDee replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would tend to think not, but he doesn't make a case for good performance so it is possible. We weren't very good on defense & again crumbled when the going got tough. A couple of relevant points is how much is this Babich's doing & how much McDermott. Related, firing him would be a case of do as I say, not as I do. -
$9M for a part-time player that isn't overly dominant & IMO is more aptly described as "good" is an extravagance where the cap space could better be put elsewhere.

# of times the Chiefs let up more than 25 pts this season? 4, 2x against the Bills & once against their "B" team. # of times the Chiefs scored more than 30 pts in a game this season? Once; you know when.

I thought we were going to be discussing some Klingon delicacy.

Quarterback Playoff Stats Comparison
eSJayDee replied to TableDestoyer69's topic in The Stadium Wall
Allen, Mahomes & Jackson is a fair comparison & it confirms the eye test. As for Brady, much of his career was in a different era, so of course you have to take into consideration inflation -
Has a coordinator ever been fired during the playoffs? Asking for a friend.

Another disaster by McDs defense in the playoffs

We really need to add a sarcasm font. -
OK so who had this on their 2024 NFL Bingo card?
eSJayDee replied to Beck Water's topic in The Stadium Wall
For their rookie years, I think Mayfield looked the best & being the 1st overall was justified. Likewise, Darnold showed signs of talent though very much played "rookie like". -
Damn, I meant to check, but never got around to it. I watch it on an "alternate Feed" I think by virtue of it being CBS, rather than Fox, they have far less allegiance to the Giants & NFC that was likely the reason.

What is Josh Allen worth in wins and losses?
eSJayDee replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Interesting "hypothesis" & nice job collecting data & analyzing it. One possible issue I can think of, which I don't really know, is a chicken-egg thing. That is, does a successful team lead to a QB having a better QBR, or does the better QBR lead to a more successful team. Not really knowing how QBR is determined/measured, I can't say. -
The thing you're not noting is that although kickers are better, w/ far more range, but punters are, too. In a kick away situation, netting 50 yards is a mediocre effort. This means unless you're pinned near your goal line, you're still typically gonna out kick a placekickers range.

Actually, w/ required fuel reserves, it likely would need to refuel, especially flying into a headwind.

I don't think you can conclude our improved RAC is attributable to getting rid of Diggs & eliminating the need to cater to his strengths. I happen to think the primary factor is a shift in offensive "style" in that even in the latter 1/2 of the year once Brady replaced Dorsey (a time when Shakir outperformed Diggs), it was still primarily Dorsey's offense which for the most part lacked completions where a receiver had good opportunity for RAC.
-
Now that you mention it, I do recall thinking that he looked oddly "very soccer style", ie like he was going to kick it right, rather than you'd think he'd come more straight on in that instance so he would kick across to his left.
