  1. Is this the article where it says he leads Bills' receivers w/ 0.1 yard separation? That's like 4 inches! That # needs to be explained, cuz it can't mean what I, or any lay person thinks it means, cuz as I figure, you'd have a very hard time staying that close, ie that is NO SEPARATION.
  2. There is so much info to laugh at in this thread. Rex, a good choice? Disciplinarian?
  3. If his only shortcoming was blowing contain, it seems like he's emulating Bosa quite well.
  4. Was he "that good"? Yes. Was he great? No. But against our defensive effort (& atypical offensive output), he didn't need to be. He was as good as he needed to be & also had very few poor plays (eluded rushers, found (wide) open receivers for a very high completion %age) & didn't need to do more.
  5. They're largely at fault for their own demise IMO, just like most other local papers. I used to subscribe via snail mail to the Buff News (I live in Albany); 1/2 the time I got the paper in 2 days, sometimes it took 3 or 4 & sometimes a LONG time. I would've loved to have had the option of paying for access via the net (or email) in a timely fashion. In the late 90s, "amateur journalism" become a thing (that's how I found TBD) cuz "regular" papers refused to adapt to the changing times. To what extent the proliferation of other sports journalism venues was caused by this, IDK. Perhaps it was inevitable eventually, but their stubbornness likely accelerated it. p.s. They're advertising pricing may have contributed to it too, as it wasn't at all in line w/ expense. Why did it cost like $400 for a few line job listing or house when an ad the same size for puppies or a garage sale was like $5?
  6. See, the defensive plan was to get Henry so exhausted for running so far that he'd be unable to hold onto the football when it was needed most. 4D chess!
  7. They said the Ravens were the 1st team to score 40 this year. Congratulations...that didn't last long.
  8. Geez, I was thinking Dane Jackson. you should have REALLY said Samuel, L Jackson inactive.
  9. Don't we typically do some "courtesy cuts" by this time? By that, I mean releasing players that they know won't be making the roster giving them a chance to hook up w/ another team in time for the last PS game? I know we've released/waived a few players but w/ the exception of K Davis (whose signing was injury induced), all or at least most were injury related. Often times, someone like E Moore or D Jackson would be let go once we think it's unlikely we'll have them on the roster- again, largely a courtesy to them.
  10. It used to be that you indeed, did need to throw a "real" pass, usually a quick out way over the rcvrs head & well OB. At some point, they allowed offenses to merely "clock" the ball when it's apparent that's what the intent is. You bring up a valid point that it is arguably "unsportsmanlike" & NOT in the spirit of the game.
  11. In this case, the ball went backwards, so it's a lateral, not a pass. So any tuck rule is not applicable. You do have a valid point that when they abort a forward throw & it goes straight in the ground near them there likely isn't a receiver in the area & if the throw was not altered by contact w/ a defender, I think it should be grounding but I don't recall it ever being called (though throwing into the ground doesn't occur frequently). (ie refs aren't supposed to interpret intent, ie like when a receiver runs a wrong route)
  12. Actually, in 2019 I was looking for land just outside Albany NY (Greene County). Very little (like 15% of population IIRC) of that County had high speed internet available! Cellular internet wasn't much of an option either, so yeah, dial up! Of course, although I know a fair # of people w/ AOL email addresses, I wasn't even aware AOL had an actual "service", so low %age of need for dial up coupled w/ low number of users I can see how it's not viable/prudent to maintain a dial up option.
  13. Isn't he the guy that charges into a WoW room unprepared & gets his whole team slaughtered?
  14. From way back when, Exidor from Mork & Mindy. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0077053/characters/nm0232817/?ref_=tt_cst_c_10 Somewhat of a regular, but Chuck (or Bob?) from Soap.
  15. I don't maintain a list, but off the top of my head - V for Vendetta Blues Brothers Ferris Bueller Shawshank Wizard of Oz
  16. Ancient Chinese secret
  17. Depending on how handy you are, you can modify Greenworks batteries to work in Kobalt tools (& vice versa). Alternately, you can swap out the innards.
  18. This is what 1st came to mind: This one, too:
  19. The only advantage I can see is if they host, the visitors will be traveling on a short week. Yes, that's an advantage, but I think it also would displease their players, particularly those w/ kids.
  20. I'm wondering about the cap ramifications. If Hoecht has a $3m base salary for '25, presumably we get $1m+ cap relief (6/17 of that for which he's out). Ogunjobi seems to be $8.3m (w/ $8m guaranteed) w/ no bonus for just '25, so that presumably saves us almost $3m in cap savings. Yes?
  21. We didn't necessarily just "flush it down the toilet". Granted, the benefit we got from him this year was negligible & he may quite possibly sign elsewhere. But, if he does... depending on what we do elsewhere WRT Free Agent signings & losses, we may very well be entitled to compensation if he signs elsewhere. Doubtful it'll be a 3rd round, but if it's a 4th you got a contributor for a fraction of a season which served as a "tryout" for next season (I don't think you should discount this benefit) tghat seems like a worthwhile trade, even if the compensatory pick is delayed a year.
  22. 1st person came to mind was "Friggin Lonnie" (Johnson). Next who immediately came to mind & others have mentioned is BJ Hobart. Peterman played one game where I think he was literally the worst statistical QB ever.
  23. Interesting that it said "fired", rather than "parting ways", or something similar. Granted, it's a reporter rather than an official source. Curious what is said when the Bills announce it.
  24. I think one question is - why would you want to? The idea is to get someONE open. Doesn't matter who. Yes, you'd rather have someone wide open 30 yds downfield as opposed to 3, but it's much easier to take what the defense gives you. If you're trying to "scheme" that guy open 30 yds downfield, that is much easier accomplished if the defense doesn't know who you're gonna throw it to. Look at the success throwing to Diggs as opposed to Shakir or Kincaid the end of '23. Shakir was FAR more successful - more completions for more yards on far less attempts.
  25. Most memorable commercial ever IMO. Definitely got your attention.
