  1. He was in Tampa during the Gruden years and was a rubber stamp for Gruden. It was the reason why why McKay left Tampa for Atlanta. This should have happened years ago. As far as Snyder, I believe he is worse than Jerrah and that is saying a lot. Thank god for the Pegulas.
  2. Yes they are St. Francis boys like Telescope, and Chris Poland, as am I. I don’t believe they were there at the same time as my cousin was in homeroom for four years with Caldwell, and never me Daboll. You might be right though. It’s a tight fraternity at that school.
  3. That is the worst kept secret on the planet. If Caldwell survives, I can see him going after Rivera hard. They have the players on defense for Rivera to make them playoff contenders like McD did for us. If he brings Norv, is that the right call? Honest question as I don’t know. Always open to opinions.
  4. These lists are so subjective.
  5. Phil, that’s basically what I said. I couldn’t stand Wright and he sucked. I juxtaposed him to Smerlas and Washington who were run stuffing NT. I’m not sure what wasn’t clear. If I was ambiguous, I apologize.
  6. Dont stop him he’s on a roll.
  7. The chances of him turning around is not high. Blank is a loyal owner. He’s not Ralph who meddles as much as I appreciate everything Mr. Wilson did for this team and city. Sometimes a DC is what people are meant for vs. a HC. Wade Phillips admitted that several times. Todd Bowles is a solid DC, but not a HC. I have nothing against Quinn. If he can turn it around next year, great. If not, move on.
  8. Dumb decision, but theirs to make.
  9. I couldn’t stand Jeff Wright. The claim was he was more athletic than Smerlas, but Smerlas was meant to be a 3-4 Nose Tackle. He clogged the middle just like big old Teddy Washington later in the 90’s. What was amazing to me was how the all time sack leader in Bruce, was an end in a traditional 3-4 DE. When the debate over him and White comes up who was fantastic, what Bruce did in this system was nothing short of amazing. He should go down as the GOAT of DE in the NFL. I know that was a tangent but just reminded me of those days. What is amazing now is this defense and team is ascending and a dynasty is coming. Of course would love to win the SB, but if we can convincingly beat the Texans and pay back the Pats if we draw them and beat them in NE. I can live with losing to KC or Baltimore this year and get more talent for next year,
  10. I know I’m in the minority, but I’d love to be the first game as I hate watching late games. Maybe my age, but I get up at 5 am even on weekends, so these 8:30 pm games are a killer for me. I of course would stay up for it, but ruins the next morning. It’s brutal walking the dog and working out on three to four hours sleep. I hope all of you right as late afternoon games are fun, but during the season 1 pm games are my favorite as you can go to you’re favorite watering hole, and still be back for Sunday dinner.
  11. I don’t think they will be in more than a quarter or a half. I wouldn’t worry about it. They’ve had 15 games and almost no one was hurt. I understand the concern. I really do. what McD says and what he does are two things. When was the last time Belicheat was honest with the media? If I’m wrong I understand and those that think we should sit everyone could be right. Just an opinion.
  12. Legoat, I’d love it if we wore blue on white too if any consolation as that is my favorite combination. Maybe when we win the division, hopefully next year. enjoy the eggnog.
  13. Well the home team usually gets to wear their colors outside of the Cowboys who love their whites, so I’m assuming however many game(s) will most likely will be white.
  14. Matter - good post. Merry Christmas to you and everyone.
  15. I completely missed that one, but but what a tool. What punk, don’t like getting hit. Allen gets a lot. I don’t see him trying to trip anyone. I’m so proud of Oliver not taking the bait and stomping on him which was probably his real goal. God, it just make me want to beat in the wildcard and then beat the Pats when it matters.
  16. Phil, thanks for sharing as I agree with this article. Just win at least one playoff game, and hopefully this week in Buffalo, and build for next year. A second win in the playoffs would be a blessing, but not expected from me.
  17. This has already been discussed but understand we can’t read all threads so agreed. We’ll draft one in mid rounds. 1st rd, true #1 WR.
  18. It’s almost a misconception is more likely to be hurt when he runs as he has been improving with sliding, running out of bounds etc, and his two injuries were from the pocket holding onto the ball.
  19. I hope this thread is just a twisted joke as there is no way in hell McD’s throwing this game. He wanted momentum going into the playoffs not two losses. He’ll sit injured people, but everyone is playing next Sunday.
  20. I have showtime, and it makes me sick every time I see that crappy special on his life as they play it all the time. I refuse to watch one minute of it.
  21. Well, it’s supposed to be a deep WR draft so we have more than enough time to get into that after free agency.
  22. Well to the fanatics, cry or get angry and drink you’re beer, and wake up tomorrow and have fun with whatever you guys have on TV tomorrow. Down here, the Cowboys/Eagles game is showcased at 4 pm. A loss sucks when we thought we were close but as Belicheat always says, it’s onto the Jets.
  23. You received more detailed answers above, but the bottom line is if KC beats the Bears tomorrow, it’s almost a lock we’re playing the Texans. Besides if Southwest flies to both, there is no penalty for flipping flights. Even if another is direct, and SW may have a stop, that would be the safest bet, plus you get check two bags for free with SW. I just checked for a fellow TBD guy, and to both cities, each as 1 stop to either city, but just to warn you the flights are not cheap. Higher than I normally see for SW. I hope that helps.
  24. Phil, you make good points, mine only is we had the best chance in 20 years of beating Brady in Foxborough. I do hope we don’t rest anyone healthy. I understand Morse, or anyone else with an injury we don’t know about yet like a hamstring, etc. We should be focused and I can only imagine McD is thinking we need to go into the Wildcard weekend with momentum and would be nice to have the best record in 20-25 years.
