  1. Wel, it was reported as you probably know Winston is getting tagged, but I’m not so sure. The analysts down here think the Glazers do a 180 on him. Arians and Bowles are completely safe. Licht has history with Arians at Arizona, and both have four year contracts. The Glazers won’t pull the plug on Mgmt or coaching. I wish we would give Winston the boot as he hasn’t improved at all in five years. The fans are so sick of him. I know there is a lot of sentiment they move up in the draft and find their next QB.
  2. I don’t know about Pittsburgh, NYG, as not normally their MO, and I would fire Kitchens, but doesn’t mean he will get fired. As far as Rivera, would you want to coach the Cowboys, vs. the Jags who have defensive talent, and if the Browns do fire Kitchens, Rivera is the type of leader to corral those personalities. I seriously doubt Rivera takes that Redskins job for similar reasons as Dallas. Who wants to work for those owners.
  3. Well, another fine for this guy coming tomorrow. Can’t go ref bowling.
  4. Right to replace Foster he’s only the fourth WR to sometimes situationally the third. Depends what the Bills are trying to do with McKenzie, vs. Williams. If you mean ever, ok, I get you’re point. Oh, and these Duke threads in so many different ways is getting a bit much so not going to reply anymore. Try and do my part. I can’t wait to find out when we play next week. The WGR guys keep saying it’s most likely the first game on Saturday.
  5. Well hopefully he goes out in a blaze of glory in the playoffs. He’s going to be missed. Maybe WGR can find a spot for him. Anytime Schoop is not on the radio and it was him even one day a week, would be the day I listen to that show.
  6. Do you remember that wildcard weekend where the Ravens demolished the Pats in the first half, and were just beating up Brady.
  7. You make good points, and additionally the Chiefs have been holding opponents in the last several games to low point totals, so their defense is much better now than in the beginning of their season. Neither team is an easier path. As much as I want us to win in Houston, if so, it is hard for me to wrap my arms around beating either team. It would be fun to watch the Titans ram it down the Pats throat, and they do have a solid defense.
  8. Just so funny the Pats fan who said they couldn’t believe the Pats have to play on wildcard weekend like the Plebes.
  9. I had the same issue, but would guess they did so.
  10. Scott, in the Duke thread, one of the posters mentioned in one of his pressers, Daboll stated I coach whoever McD activates. He may have input, but McD make the final decisions on activations which makes sense. As far as Daboll’s play calling, there are some valid points on Daboll.
  11. Well, to activate him next week, which I don’t think is a bad idea at all, they would need to inactivate Foster. Since Foster even with his speed has not done much at all, I can see it happening.
  12. Poor family. My ex-wife had a close friend who we spent time with many years ago had a child who dies at 13 mos. old. Outside of my mom’s funeral, that was the worst funeral I ever went to and so painful to everyone. They didn’t get over it for years as you can imagine.
  13. Hopefully it’s a fun game and of course a Bills win. I never thought in year 3 we would potentially finish 11-5, win on Thanksgiving, and be in the playoffs legitimately vs. easing into it like two years ago.
  14. Outside of Jags, I could definitely see the Browns. That coach is toast.
  15. Given that Marrone is getting fired which is almost assured Monday, it is a good fit. Who the hell would ever want to work for Jerrah. Rivera could take that defensive talent and build a real winner on that side of the ball.
  16. He was in Tampa during the Gruden years and was a rubber stamp for Gruden. It was the reason why why McKay left Tampa for Atlanta. This should have happened years ago. As far as Snyder, I believe he is worse than Jerrah and that is saying a lot. Thank god for the Pegulas.
  17. Yes they are St. Francis boys like Telescope, and Chris Poland, as am I. I don’t believe they were there at the same time as my cousin was in homeroom for four years with Caldwell, and never me Daboll. You might be right though. It’s a tight fraternity at that school.
  18. That is the worst kept secret on the planet. If Caldwell survives, I can see him going after Rivera hard. They have the players on defense for Rivera to make them playoff contenders like McD did for us. If he brings Norv, is that the right call? Honest question as I don’t know. Always open to opinions.
  19. These lists are so subjective.
  20. Phil, that’s basically what I said. I couldn’t stand Wright and he sucked. I juxtaposed him to Smerlas and Washington who were run stuffing NT. I’m not sure what wasn’t clear. If I was ambiguous, I apologize.
  21. Dont stop him he’s on a roll.
  22. The chances of him turning around is not high. Blank is a loyal owner. He’s not Ralph who meddles as much as I appreciate everything Mr. Wilson did for this team and city. Sometimes a DC is what people are meant for vs. a HC. Wade Phillips admitted that several times. Todd Bowles is a solid DC, but not a HC. I have nothing against Quinn. If he can turn it around next year, great. If not, move on.
  23. Dumb decision, but theirs to make.
  24. I couldn’t stand Jeff Wright. The claim was he was more athletic than Smerlas, but Smerlas was meant to be a 3-4 Nose Tackle. He clogged the middle just like big old Teddy Washington later in the 90’s. What was amazing to me was how the all time sack leader in Bruce, was an end in a traditional 3-4 DE. When the debate over him and White comes up who was fantastic, what Bruce did in this system was nothing short of amazing. He should go down as the GOAT of DE in the NFL. I know that was a tangent but just reminded me of those days. What is amazing now is this defense and team is ascending and a dynasty is coming. Of course would love to win the SB, but if we can convincingly beat the Texans and pay back the Pats if we draw them and beat them in NE. I can live with losing to KC or Baltimore this year and get more talent for next year,
  25. I know I’m in the minority, but I’d love to be the first game as I hate watching late games. Maybe my age, but I get up at 5 am even on weekends, so these 8:30 pm games are a killer for me. I of course would stay up for it, but ruins the next morning. It’s brutal walking the dog and working out on three to four hours sleep. I hope all of you right as late afternoon games are fun, but during the season 1 pm games are my favorite as you can go to you’re favorite watering hole, and still be back for Sunday dinner.
