  1. Happy Gilmore, I’m with you on Edelman, Landry, and OBJ, but my addition is AB. He’s a tool and can’t believe we actually tried for that fool. Lastly, Kap, not because of his political views although they suck, but his performance diminished over time, and his ego is keeping him from getting a job.
  2. I’ve been thinking all year we should sit Gore, and activate Yeldon. He’s more dynamic and happy Gore hit 3rd in rushing which will pretty assure him first ballot HOF, but it’s time. Yeldon is like almost another WR out there with wiggle. I don’t love the guy, but he’s shown at times better or more versatile than Gore. Yes, Gore has made some tough yards, but it’s not enough. I agree with others as I’ve said on other threads, let Gore retire, find a battering ram, and keep Yeldon as a change up.
  3. Mike, appreciate the sentiment. To the others, I have some of the fondest memories of those days, and the cool thing that young fans haven’t gone through is an opposing team gets a go ahead score and there is maybe 1 minute and less than thirty seconds, and we would just say, it’s alright. Time for the K Gun to do it’s thing, and over 90% of the time Kelly and crew would score in 45 seconds. I’m starting to billieve like that again that we have an ascending dynasty coming and are going to start beating the Patsies regularly.
  4. We were grossly out coached in the Giants SB. Kelly, Marchibroda, and Levy were stubborn on the K Gun when Bellicheck admitted years later that he told his defense to play 8 back and not worry about Thurmon. It was around 14 runs for 145 yards. If we kept with the run forcing the Giants play more men up, and the offense would be on the field longer. We would have killed them as once they tried to stop Thurmon, we could pick their secondary apart. The Giants were much better coached with Coughlin, Bellicheck, and Parcells. Their coaches didn’t their players to go out and get hammered throughout the one week vs. two weeks before the SB. So stupid on Marv’s part.
  5. Speed kills so defending Brown and Foster deep, Beasley, and Knox short to intermediate and lots of Singletary runs to the outside. I haven’t bee this excited and nervous in a long time waiting for game time. BILLIEVE!
  6. Chandler, well said as always, but I’m with the guys who state to get a battering ram in a later round. Remember how they found Milano in the 5th. Thunder and lightning is appealing, but I’ve already given my feelings in other threads about Amari Cooper, TE, DT, and yes a battering ram RB. As much as I’m nervous and excited about today, I fell so good about the direction of this team this year and far beyond. It is great to be a Bills fan these days. For the younger guys, this is the same feeling we had in the late 80’s and 90’s. With Kelly and crew, you never felt like we were ever out of it any game,
  7. Well said Inigo. I’ve seen improvements with him sliding more this year than last year, but it’s not enough. He still at times pushes for that extra yard, and at some point, he’d better learn the yard or two is not as important as staying in the game. Like it or not, he’s the most important person on the team, and although Brady is throwing it away a lot this year, there is a very good reason why he only was taken out for one season in twenty years. Allen needs to take a page from that playbook. We’re not going deep into the playoffs with Barkley. Too many casual fans always think the back up QB should go in and as much as I hate to admit, my Dad is one of them. It’s more of his frustrations when Josh makes a mistake.
  8. You know the drill, heavy jacket, winter hat gloves, if he’s that concerned a scarf, and two pairs of thick socks. He’ll be fine.
  9. Kind of funny, but those u tube videos about the Bills, Patriots, and they bleeping hate Tom Brady is a classic.
  10. I don’t know how many of you watched last week’s Ravens game against arguable besides them the best team in the league in the 49ers. I have never seen any team ever in the NFL play the RPO better than the Ravens. They fooled the 49ers so many times whether it was a hand off to Ingram or Jackson taking it the other way. It was beautiful. For us to win we have to run a ton in those high winds, no huddle, and our defense effectively play contain and stay in their lanes. We won’t stop them, but could slow them down.
  11. I was listening to Press Coverage on NFLR today, and surprisingly Vic and Dan both picked the Bills in an upset, but a very close game, and the Ravens commentator in Baltimore, not surprisingly picked the Ravens routing the Bills 31-13. No respect. I would expect him to pick the Ravens, but a routing? I think we can win if the Bills from Thanksgiving shows up, but it is going to be tough. I told my cousin I think this game goes down to the last drive of the game either way. No routings on either side.
  12. He’s probably the best non kicker ST player ever, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to get into the top 100 of all time.
  13. As much as I’m rooting for the Bills over the Ravens and saying prayers, I actually think we have an even better chance against the Pats. Their offense is vulnerable, and we have Brady one of the worst performances in 20 years the first time. Nothing would make me happier than a 13-3 record and winning the AFCE and possibly the 1st seed, I can realistically expect 12-4.
  14. I’m glad they recognize McBeane’s talents, but delusional thinking after three years of building the hard way this team to go back to Carolina.
  15. Inigo, one more reason, I love you’re takes. Let’s shoot for outbidding Dallas for Cooper and we are complete. Draft another TE, if a good one along with a battering ram RB, as Gore can only last so long. I’d love him to overtake Sweetness as much as I love that guy, but he’ll never get there without a nice performance this year and next. Slam dunk first ballot HOF.
  16. I love the choices, and White, Knox, and Allen are all great pics, but it’s Milano for me. A 5th round pick who lives eats sleeps football if you read the article on him, and he’s always around the ball. As soon as we extend him, that’s my next jersey.
  17. This changes if we beat them in our house this Sunday. Then, my humble opinion we beat the Steelers next week, and now we are 11-3. Watch how the narrative changes. It will be non stop coverage on every outlet especially if NE loses to KC this week. Two 11-3 going for the AFCE title. Im pretty confident NE AND us will both win the last game so we are 13-3, and they are 12-4. How pretty would that be watching the Patsies as a wildcard team.
  18. Scot I like you’re thinking and completely agree, just don’t think that is the direction they are going. The Pegulas from my speculation had a 10 year plan to coordinate what they already have done and even more linking their Sabres, to the Bills, to everything else they have and will build in that area.
  19. It’s a valid argument on the dome. My cousin, who is very well connected said non public information is there to build a retractable roof stadium in the 1st ward right near the Buffalo News office. The Pegulas are sitting out until the lease is up in 2022, while they behind the scenes are working hard on a public/private venture where they will contribute significantly, but needs the State to pony up a % of the dollars. As much as I love OP, and the infrastructure to get 75,000 people in and out. My concerned is will there be the space to do old fashioned tailgating, or are they going to try an increase food and beverage sales by the Pegulas which would suck. Well, if you live in Buffalo, man up and get you’re friends to buy as many tickets as possible.
  20. Sorry, auto correct is a pain at times. FWIW, I typed it right, but didn’t notice the IPad changed and sent. My apologizes.
  21. I appreciate what you said and everything but the bitter part I agree. He is such a class act, and religious guy, he probably has praying all season for us to have this kind of season. Bitterness in my opinion is not in his DNA. Good call on this thread. I know he is probably the most beloved and popular player since the Kelly days.
  22. Couldnt agree more Mannc. I said in another thread do everything possible to steal Cooper, but grab a TE, DT, and RB. Tha.t is what I want is a battering ram that compliments Singletary. We actually have some games at AMC theaters down here so went one to see the 49ers, Ravens game. Ingram was punishing the 49ers defense. Reminded me a lot of Alston down here 15-20 years ago. He never dodged defenders, he would drop a shoulder and run through them. Probably why he was the most popular guy on the team. Nice call.
  23. Funny, as I as well went to the Bill Jax playoff game, and it was like Buffalo invaded Jacksonville. It was easy for me as I live in Tampa. The whole weekend was a drinking sport with all the Bills fans. I remember listening to WGR, and they said to go to Lot X. You would have thought we were in Orchard Park. I brought an an old friend I worked with from Jax. He had a Jax sweatshirt on, and fan after fan were calling him out, and I quickly said South Park Ave., St. Francis High School. Every time the guys quickly were really friendly and some even pat him on the back or shoulders. Pat has been to some crazy MN games as he grew up there, but he said he never saw fans like these. Yes, there were tables getting slammed, chugging that hollow bat, etc. The lower deck of the Stadium was a sea of Jax jerseys, but the upper deck was a complete red, white, and royal blue. I couldn’t believe there were at least 25, maybe 30,000 Bills fans. They had no home field advantage. I could see that in Houston, but would be tougher in KC, as they are rabid fans like us. Getting a ticket will be harder.
