That’s true My Cousin Vinny, so I went to an earlier Jax game where we won, and then the first McD playoff game in 2017. I know we lost, but felt like a win as we had our first playoff appearance in 17 years. I went to a number of Bills, Fish games when younger, and was half and half with wins. It didn’t matter as some ex Buffalonians who are friends would want a boys weekend in South Beach. I was happily married, but those scantily dressed women were still fun to people watch.

Have fun. Away games can be fun. I’ve done that in Miami and Jax as it’s convenient living in Tampa. I know you’re kidding so I’ll settle for 35-13 Bills.

Kansas City/Tampa Bay on Monday Night Football
machine gun kelly replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Living here in Tampa for the last 30 years (you guys know I still bleed red, white, and royal blue, but between my friends and sons, I’d never root against the Bucs except once ever 4 years) it was frustrating how many missed opportunities Winfield missed that could have been Ints. Also, given the Bucs are 4-5, but except the 49ers this week, so 4-6, the remainder of the schedule is pretty easy. They could end up 10-7 and either a wildcard or possibly the Falcons breakdown. For my sons and my close friends, I’d like to see them get through it. Supposedly Evans is back week 11 or 12. He is the easy button for Mayfield who even in losses has played well. Now that the Bucs have burnt through the dead destruction of Brady, next year they should have cap space. I don’t expect them to go deep in the NFC playoffs, but a turnaround year where they may win a wildcard game. Mayfield is cheap comparatively at $33 mil. for 3 yrs. Vs. the recent avg of the early 50’s. Even with Evans injury he could break the NFL record this year with the most consistent 1000 yards seasons. -
I’m convinced the only reason he wasn’t released yesterday is we don’t have enough bodies, and McD and Brady must not think of Shavers and crew. its sad as I had hoped for Samuel, but now its crazy to think I’d rather have Hollins on the field which isn’t saying much.

Barley, you’re posts often are insightful and this one is another. It’s armchair QB to just say stop the run. What McD is doing on offense and defense is great. We’re not perfect, and there will be ups and downs, but there a not lot of teams built like the Ravens. Even with them our strategy will adjust in the playoffs. The two we’ll need that big nickel or dime defense is with KC, and SF.
-
To add to your point, the opponents we face who are very efficient with the run which is primarily Baltimore, SF, amd KC, then what makes sense is a big nickel. There was a guy in camp this summer that played that role (Louis Cine). Cine was a 1st round pick for MN in 22, only played a couple of games, and then went on the Jets PS. We picked him up this year on the PS. His weight is similar to Bernard. If they elevate him three times, he can be in sub packages. i don’t know if Andreeson is fast enough to be brought in on 1st downs, but that’s also a possibility. our real strength as Marino points out is keeping their passing game down.

BB, Thanks for this as I knew the philosophy, but some are caught up in 1980’s football. McD’s philosophy falls in line with the 2024 NFL. Announcers who are lazy amd don’t do their hw. Like Marino, think we are getting gashed when in reality a big running day nets 150 yards or our combined 325 yards between passing and running. It’s hard for people like my dad to wrap their arms around this is an intent strategy. I have zero problems with a light box amd ever notice how year in and out we rank at the top at eliminating the big play. It’s much harder to rip off an 84 yard run (other than maybe Henry) than a 40 yard pass with yac. It’s why I’m not stressed out when I see a 11 yard run. They are also killing clock, where we are inadvertently controlling clock. ThNks again BB.

As much as I would love consistency and like Brady, I can’t ever fault a guy for advancing his career. For his sake, good luck. For our sake, make the most out of this year as Brady won’t leave mid year (at least I hope). The Saints will probably use a staff person for interim, as they get a better candidate post season if any team.

They are too expensive. Bottom line is we don’t have the $ for it. In a Madden world, sure. Exactly.
-
If the Cardinals lost yesterday, There’s an argument for Budda Baker as safeties are more affordable, but they won amd just traded for an Edge rusher so they are buyers, not sellers. With Von back, not sure why so many want an expensive Edge guy. We already traded for a WR. MilNo should be back for either SF or the Rams. I don’t know any sellers with a quality safety available to trade. Beane would want not an over the Hill guy.

Ethan, I can see some big nickel with Hamlin to the bench on certain packages like 1st and 10. I’m not worried about Indy. 8-2 would be some nice momentum with a 5 game win streak after a first 3 streak. As long as we have Cooper and Be ford back, we should be fine. I hate Coleman possibly being out, but Cooper would offset it. They will get some rushing with Taylor back, but I’ll give up 130 yards vs. 300 passing from Flacco. He looked terrible last night. On the other hand another week off amd Cooper better, he has more skills and experience than our rookie. This should be a good passing game for us. What many are thinking, we need to get out of the gate faster as that mutes a rushing team. I’m not worried at all with their passing game against our nickel defense. The good news is we may get back Milano by SF or the rams.

Saints fired Dennis Allen …. who’s next?
machine gun kelly replied to Sestak4ever's topic in The Stadium Wall
I just saw it was reported 25 minutes ago Dak will miss several weeks with a hamstring injury. McCarthy’s toast. The idea of BB wouldn’t make sense as Jerrah likes a coach he can push around. He tried an alpha male in Jimmy Johnson, amd then Parcells. Neither worked. The owner is his worst enemy. One if the many things I like about the Pegulas is they hire good football minds and provide resources, and then stay out of the way. Some owners would have pushed the issue to move on from Elam, but he came in handy yesterday. One of McBeanes best assets is insuring some level of depth on this team. -
Did anyone get video of the flyover from today's game?

Glory, thank you for enlightening us, amd of course thank you for your service. We live in a free society, because of men like you. Ask my wife as she was raised in China. She was willing to do anything to get her kids out of China. She appreciates more than many Americans our free society. -
Jon, you can check the bills backers site amd should give you a list. At least it will narrow down to one or two and you’ll be able to ask around this morning which one. Someone might know. I could help if you were in Tampa.

Looking at Race for the #1 Seed
machine gun kelly replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s really too bad Evans and Godwin are out vs. the Chiefs. The Bucs had a chance. The Broncos may also have a chance with the way Payton is managing his team. Id say, let’s make it through the Fish and Colts, and then we’ll have a better view, especially if the Chiefs stumble. -

Agreed so basically we get two home games and then off to KC again for the AFCCG. We can hope someone slips up the chiefs in the playoffs as their offense looks suspect. -
One other thing comes to mind with this knucklehead poking the bear with Allen. Revenge is best served by Superallen. God help them.
-
A couple of years ago, he fell off at the end of the year and it showed in the playoffs. We can just see what happens as no point in discussing it now. I’m more concerned with hosting KC at 8-2. That is real momentum. Then we go through murderers row for 3 weeks. We should coast through the Cheats twice and Jests.

Yep. Josh finally has what he needs for success. Cooper will keep learning the offense and synergy with Josh. Coleman is developing into a deep threat with over 20 yards per catch regardless of talking heads stating he slow. Shakir is a stud slot WR. DK2 will get the job done with Kinkaid as the primary. We now have a legitimate duo running and short passing threat in Cook and Davis. Ty is also a great depth for us as RB’s always seemed to get dinged up more than many positions. Our O line in advanced stats has us probably the 3rd best line in the league, and certainly helps that Josh evades better than any QB in the league. I couldn’t find the movie clip on YouTube so will just plagiarize from the remake of Midway when thinking of the Fish. ”WE’RE GONNA GIVE THEM A SCHLACKIN”. (Great movie if you haven’t seen it and makes you proud to be an American- It was the greatest naval victory in the history of the US)

Some can bend stats to their opinions, but one very basic one is simply go team stats and search for pts. Well, consider this point. We are looking overall mid to upper middle in yards overall, pass yards, rush yards, etc. I care about ots. Through 8 games so half the season ostensibly or will be by halftime this Sunday. Offense Bills 5th of 32 teams Defense Bills overall 6th of 32 teams with the last pts. Scored against. Pts. Doesn’t lie. I have a feeling after Miami and Indy, those rankings will climb.

Bugs has a word for Miami coaches… And I quote, “What a maroon, what an ignoramous.”

Op, just did a google search on Hamburg, NY hotels. I just searched for you and a Holiday Inn Express for $169 and stated under booked. Hamburg is next to Orchard Park so not far. Hope that helps as those comfort inns are usually clean and has a little amenities. I wouldn’t stay at one of the local crap hotels right by the stadium.

Rocky 3, 23 seconds in. Josh is not getting killed, HES GETTING MAD! The stupidity of the Fish coaches. Why would you ever try and piss off Josh? He demolishes teams that give him bulletin board material.
