100% agree. #3 overall pick in year 3 averaging less than 1 TD drive per game is absolutely an indictment on the coaching staff. Gase was brought there to develop him but he looks lost half the time.

I wouldn’t say we played flat. Our defense played really good today. We really missed John Brown’s speed taking the top off the defense. I was really happy to see the run game do so well today. They have a good team that is consistently held back by really questionable coaching decisions.

If he dropped it it would have been a turnover on downs. That should have been a booth review. TV coverage was terrible all day. Next time just play regular defense. Enough of this prevent stuff.

Exactly. Plays that have a name hurt way more than bad plays by bad teams. And we’re going to have to see that play again and again basically forever. 8-2 heading down the stretch would have been so nice. I’d put the Dallas Monday night loss on a 60 or whatever yard FG on that list of rough losses too.

Possible Darnold or Trubisky end up our backup QB at some point but not next year. We’re not trading for either. If given the option both would sign somewhere they will have a chance to start and there are teams that would give both a chance.

Totally agree. Our defense is pretty darn good when everyone does their job. Unfortunately we’ve had way too many plays where guys either don’t or can’t do their job, especially the front 4. How many times have we seen Jerry make a move inside rather than maintaining the edge? Or DTs that just can’t hold their ground? Maybe things will click as we get down the stretch. I think we can if we get/stay healthy and find someone that can play 1 tech DT. We won’t go far in the playoffs if it don’t.

Ford and Winters are both playing equally average to below average right now. The tie should go to the younger player. See if he can develop. We know they’ll look at him. Might be a good practice squad addition. Diggs can probably give a little insight into him and help recruit if there’s interest.

He is really our only zone breaker since we are getting nothing out of our TEs. He had a big game last week too. He should be getting this workload every week. He is always open.
