  1. Araiza turned 21 in May, 2021, months before the alleged incident occurred.
  2. This guy doesn’t strike me as very professional at all. Trolling just isn’t a good look, imo.
  3. I doubt the Bills will cut him outright. I suspect he will be designated “reserve/suspended” while the legal process plays out.
  4. I know for a fact that private investigations aren’t used strictly on first round picks. Every potential Bills draft pick is subject to background checks and other investigative processes. Some go deeper than others depending on what the initial investigation reveals. I’d be surprised if the Bills weren’t aware of the incident by the time their draft board was constructed. As I said earlier, my concern is they received unreliable information since no criminal investigation was being conducted by SD police at the time.
  5. True. Teddy and Dorsey are two separate entities from different school of football. But they do have something in common; both served as a Bills QB coach before being promoted to OC.
  6. The presumption of innocence is a legal concept only.
  7. All potential draft picks are investigated by both league and team private investigators during the draft process. I’m confident the Bills did their due diligence given the information available at the time. My concern is that information was less than candid and reliable.
  8. Yeah, we figured it all out a couple days ago in subsequent posts in this thread. Turns out the ESPN article I linked was the ONLY article to state that PS players DON’T count against the cap. I should have read other articles before posting that link.
  9. Defense lost SBXV, no doubt. That said, Kelly’s ego definitely got in the way, especially early on. Belichick, with his “genius” two down linemen with everyone else standing up, was essentially daring us to run the ball. All those defenders standing up was a gift of leverage to one of the most dominant O lines we’ve seen and Kelly should have punished them with TT early and often until Belichick had seen enough. Given how TT tore them up on his few opportunities just underscores that idea. And Kelly would have had better opportunities to torch them as a result.
  10. Your feelings on Oliver as a player since he was drafted are well known 😄 and I understand your point. I was just addressing your suggestion that the Bills might “let” Knox go to Tennessee. Unless tagged, teams are simply not in a position to “let” free agents go anywhere.
  11. Unless the Bills tag him, if Knox wants to go to Tennessee he will. As a free agent, the team won’t be in a position to let him do anything or not. And Ed Oliver won’t have anything to do with it.
  12. Figures that the one article I read and linked is the one that states PS players don’t count against the cap. Gotta love ESPN.
  13. Appreciate the clarification. Can you point me to a link to get me started?
  14. This is from last September, so if the rules have changed those changes have been implemented only recently: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/32256800/why-nfl-practice-squads-loaded-big-name-players-know-how-rules-work-more
  15. PS players don’t count against the cap.
  16. I’d be concerned if JA felt any pressure from fans.
  17. That’s unfortunate. He knows the game and was a consistently good contributor over the years.
  18. Where did @thebandit27go? Seems we lost some posters as a result of the politics surrounding COVID, George Floyd protests, and other political issues. Did he leave in protest as well?
  19. If a team is interested in obtaining Howard, a trade for him guarantees the acquisition, whereas that interested team may not be a team Howard would sign with as a free agent.
  20. There are gonna be some very tough cuts off the D line. Gonna be tough cuts elsewhere. Cuts that not too long ago would have been potential starters on this team. Great problem to have.
