  1. Love the optimism, but winning the next two merely puts us in a good position. There are three games to play after that and if there is one thing we know for sure in this league, it’s that nothing is for sure in this league. I like our chances though, that’s for sure.
  2. Read my response above. Again, I wasn’t referring to their on air talent, but the production crew behind it.
  3. I wasn’t talking about Amazon’s on air talent, although Al Michaels has seen better days. It’s their production crew itself that leaves a something to be desired.
  4. I think the Amazon production crew has flat out sucked the entire year. It’s amateur hour at Amazon. I get the impression it is staffed by people who just couldn’t get jobs with the major networks.
  5. Good point. I also think that Davis hasn’t been healthy since his ankle injury early in the season. He looks a bit gimpy when he runs.
  6. Has Portnoy called an emergency press conference yet?
  7. We’ve seen Allen do these rollouts to the right and throw a dart just before going out of bounds so many times that it almost feels like a routine play and it just isn’t. I hope I never take his talent for granted.
  8. No need to apologize as I never made the assertion in the first place. Whoever the talking head was that said that last year didn’t do his homework. But thanks for taking the time to do that research. Much appreciated.
  9. Going into the windy snow game last season at Highmark, I recall a talking head saying McDermott had a chance to be the only coach to beat Belichick three consecutive times. Was that still a thing heading into tonight? Because McD accomplished that tonight. And if not for that freak snowy wind storm loss, McDermott would be sitting at six straight at the moment. Not bad.
  10. The Hines experiment hasn’t even started yet.
  11. Not a chance after last season. That bridge was blown up never to be rebuilt.
  12. Shenanigans indeed. What tomfoolery awaits? What monkeyshines come to greet us as the team indulges in their skylarking antics?
  13. The “all those hits took a toll on Cam” narrative is a myth. Cam sustained an acute injury to the AC joint in his throwing shoulder while trying to make a tackle after throwing an interception and he was just never the same passer after that. Like Josh, Newton didn’t experience many bad hits when running the ball during his career. He could still run it even at the end of his career.
  14. A few weeks ago? Try eight days ago. After one day of practice, on the road, after a huge snowfall complicated just getting there.
  15. It’s a league wide issue attributable to the practice rules negotiated in the CBA.
  16. Josh has a juggs machine in his ass.
  17. Not to mention the third round comp pick in the 2023 drsft.
  18. Good players, when in a position to make a play, make a play more often than not. It’s for that reason that I can’t say our CBs are good. They’re adequate and that just won’t cut it consistently. That’s also why they won’t get the benefit of the doubt when they clutch and grab.
  19. Yeah, it’s nice that we have guys in position to make plays but as to what else are they supposed to do? How about making the mother F ing play! Between last week and this week, our DBs simply can’t make a big play when it’s needed and that doesn’t bode well considering we will be facing some more very good receivers but in the weeks to come.
  20. I know you’re joking and your point about Edmunds in run D is more than fair, but he is greatly missed in pass defense. As I said in another thread, since he left the Vikings game, the middle of the field has been open a ton. He influences passes to that area of the field, period.
