  1. Nah, he gets punched and in the face whether he drinks or not.
  2. Both games last year were slugfests as well, but I think we will be healthier going into next Monday than we were in either of those two games. I expect the kind of game that happens between two division teams that know each other so well.
  3. That’s what we did on the first play last year in NY. Josh hit Diggs who beat Gardner on a beautiful 40 yard strike down the right sideline. Josh dropped it between Sauce and the safety who couldn’t get over in time. Diggs and Allen are not afraid of Gardner and I expect them to test him a lot in single coverage. Heck, Gabe beat Gardner on the last play hail mary as well and probably should have caught it. That was a 70 yard frozen rope by Josh.
  4. Their front seven is one of the best in the league, perhaps the best and their secondary has a couple good players as well. DJ Reed just might he right when it’s all said and done this year. That said, we are acutely familiar with their personnel and how they’re used and we played them tough even with a depleted lineup. I expect a slugfest of a slog next Monday night so I doubt it’s gonna be a blowout by either side.
  5. What does Jason Whitlock have to say about Dorsey’s preparation?
  6. I don’t know. Can he play guard? Seriously though, I hope he becomes an All Pro.
  7. Double end around reverse option pass to a wide open tackle eligible Dion Dawkins. Either that or spider 2 Y banana.
  8. Wow! This is some groundbreaking insight here! Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your keen analysis with the rest of us.
  9. As the old saying goes, Buffalo is a drinking town with a football problem.
  10. In the words of the late, great Senator: 20-0 baby!
  11. Colorado goes on the road to face the 17th ranked team in the country and national champ runner ups and puts up those kind of numbers? Maybe TCU took them lightly, but in the plays I’ve seen, Colorado has some superior athletes on that team.
  12. Agree on Van Pelt who has a sharp football mind. Also agree about Joe Brady. And I wouldn’t discount the work Dorsey has done with Allen since he got here in 2019 as his QB coach.
  13. Josh is absolutely correct in his approach to watching film, which is much more vital for defenders to watch and learn from, anyway. Watching what the Jets defense does vs. other teams has limited benefit from a schematic view because they simply aren’t gonna scheme for Allen and this offense like they do for anyone else. The value for a QB is in acquainting yourself with opposing personnel more than anything else and pouring over the film from previous matchups with your upcoming opponent. I guarantee Josh Allen is already acutely familiar with Jets D personnel, their sub packages, and that he has watched last year’s games several times. And I imagine he has a notebook as thick as a phone book of compiled insights he’s gleaned from watching that film. It’s just not about how long you prepare, but how smart you prepare. I trust Josh knows what he’s doing.
  14. These media ownership and programming deals can be difficult to sort thru. A friend at the ABC in NY told me that there are a lot of upset viewers in that market and he confirmed what @Albany,n.y. pointed out previously about the programming deals that independent network affiliates have with various cable providers. Having worked for a major satellite provider to TV networks, my incorrect assumption was that if you own the programming, then you hold the exclusive rights to that programming and it can’t be broadcast without your approval. Glad to stand corrected on the issue.
  15. Sad day for parrot heads everywhere. RIP, Jimmy.
  16. I understand various entities other than Disney owning local ABC affiliates stations, but Disney owns ABC and the programming it produces itself. If the various entities that own the various affiliate stations are looked at as pipes, then the Disney/ABC produced programming is one of the products flowing thru them and from what I’ve gathered, Disney has turned off the ABC spigot to Spectrum. The individual affiliate stations that have individual broadcasting deals with Spectrum can show all the non Disney/ABC programming they want, but they can’t force Disney/ABC to also include their programming in their deal with Spectrum.
  17. The articles I’ve read today didn’t indicate that, just that ESPN will not be available to Spectrum subscribers so I appreciate the edification. It makes sense that non-Disney owned ABC affiliates would have the game available, but since Disney owns ABC, I’m unclear on why they would still allow ABC programming on Spectrum.
  18. Disney pulled ESPN, ABC, and other networks from Spectrum programming everywhere. As such, any Spectrum subscriber anywhere, will not have ESPN available to them via Spectrum. Spectrum subscribers aren’t confined just to the major markets you mentioned above.
  19. It relates because Spectrum subscribers outside of the local Buffalo viewing area will not be able to view it unless Disney and Spectrum resolve their issue.
  20. Yep. He is the anti-Allen when it comes to ingratiating himself with teammates and I don’t think he’d command the huddle in the least. Word travels fast in this league.
  21. Diggs signed an extension last year and he doesn’t become an UFA until 2028, so why is this his last year?
  22. I don’t think I even remotely suggested that drafting well and making smart FA moves aren’t important ingredients for success. What I did suggest is that all the great drafting and FA signings aren’t enough to get you there without the difference maker at QB ( this is when someone invariably mentions Trent Dilfer and a couple other lesser QBs that won SBs). To sum it up, great QBing gets you thru times of poor drafting and FA signings far better than crap QBing gets you thru times of great drafting and FA signings.
