I've been thinking this as well. It is pretty unlucky that a defense this good hasn't gotten a pick-6 or fumble return, and I feel like Andre has been close to breaking one over the 2nd half of the season. I can't repeat enough how much I want the Bills to come out and be the aggressor on both sides of the ball Saturday.

Bills at Texans Playoff Game, Saturday 4:35 pm
eball replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Obviously there's some luck involved, but I really believe some of this is the result of the investment the Pegulas put into the training facilities. Top notch. It's no longer going to be difficult to convince players to come here. -
How many team owners do shots with tailgaters? KIM!!!

You may want to rephrase that.- 59 replies

Let's be frank here. I'm glad St. Doug left. I wasn't touting him as some great coach when he was here. He did a decent job making the Bills competitive (with a huge helping hand from Schwartz with the D) but his management of the offense was horrid and he redefined the term "conservative." He had just led the Bills to a 9-7 record and if he truly believed in himself he would have tried to make it work with Whaley. He took the easy way out when his blustery demands to the Pegulas were not immediately granted. He owes a debt of gratitude to his agent for building in the buyout, and I'm not "blaming" him for taking it. I'm just saying that by taking it, he showed his true colors.

Nsekhe, Shaq and Roberts all Practicing today.

Roberts can change the game in an instant with a PR or KR. Just because he hasn't broken a long one yet this year doesn't mean it can't happen Saturday.- 74 replies

Houston is making the Bills prepare for Fuller, just as they should. I'm sure the Bills were planning for him regardless. -

I think carrying the Pats*** on primetime is always the NFL's goal, particularly when they are trying to reach a 4th consecutive Super Bowl. We'll get that sort of treatment a couple of years from now. -
I agree with this. Now is the time for the "play fearless" mantra to actually mean something. McD's nature is to not do anything foolish to put the team in a bad situation, but he needs to insist that the Bills take control of the game on both sides of the ball. It also means Josh needs to figure out why he has "early game jitters" and fix it. I'd like the Bills to come out the way they did in the first game of the season...remember how they opened against the Jets with Josh completing five or six short passes to get into a rhythm? Now, obviously, they then had some bad plays but I want to see that sort of mentality this week and throughout the playoffs.

Any guesses at number of Bills fans in the stands Saturday? I’m feeling like it will be a LOT. -

I think you’re just looking for stuff. Daboll is a no-nonsense guy. Why would he blow smoke up Josh’s ass? -
I agree a better backup is needed. Allen’s playing style asks for an injury here and there, and we need somebody who can keep us afloat. Gotta believe Beane is aware of this.

I think it means a 13-6 loss to the Jets starters.

If the Bills were ever going to jump out on a team early, this is the week to do it. Houston has a bad recent history of home playoff losses and don't think that won't get into their heads if the Bills can get up by a couple of scores. Add the fact that I expect a lot of Bills fans in that stadium. -
Levi Wallace - sprained ankle, day to day
eball replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If it's D-T-D then it likely isn't the dreaded 'high ankle sprain' that keeps guys out for months. I'll take that as good news. And besides, I think Kevin Johnson probably wants to show his former team what they're missing. Every bit of motivation helps. -
This is just patently not true. Singletary is a threat. You don't have to trust me, ask somebody like Charlie Weis or Pat Kirwan. Knox is also a threat, and John Brown isn't "close" to being a threat, he is one. But it really doesn't matter and I don't need to convince you. We'll all see for ourselves beginning this weekend.

My only complaint a while back was that you couldn't specify whether you wanted to connect to the 2.4 or 5 network...some devices only connect to one and it would occasionally cause a conflict, but that seems to have been "fixed" somehow (you still can't pick 2.4 or 5). I don't do a lot of configuring so your issue hasn't come up for me.

@Jauronimo I already booked MF Sushi for myself and the Mrs Friday night since we are in the med center area. Looks amazing. -
Right, and how many points did those teams score against Buffalo? Their only double-digit loss of the season was to Philly over two months ago. In the playoffs every team has a small margin for error. Teams facing Buffalo have to account for the defense and even if you aren’t impressed by the offensive weapons teams have to prepare for Allen because of his ability to make things happen out of the pocket. You really think teams aren’t worried about Singletary, Brown, or Knox? Guess again. The premise of this thread presumes the top 2 seeds in each conference are the favorites. I’m talking about the lower seeds who are most difficult to prep for, and I think the Bills fit that category.

TE position is actually looking pretty promising
eball replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Knox can get over the dropsies he could be just as effective a weapon as Kittle. Has the talent. -
Sounds like Snyder still wants to pull the strings in Washington (insisting on Haskins as the QB) -- I know there are only 32 of these jobs but man, I'd be wary of walking into that situation.
