In my experience it seems as though folks fall into three equitable categories after undergoing a discectomy and fusion: 1/3 get better 1/3 get worse 1/3 stay the same So, based upon my not-so-scientific recall you've got a 2-in-3 chance of not getting worse. Back surgery sucks.

I don't read to much into the "they" stuff. I mean, he was only there for a season -- less than 9 months. What's important is that you can tell he respects the organization and thinks it is a talented team (that will only add that many more pieces this offseason).

Better Call Saul: Season 5 Trailer - 23 Feb
eball replied to /dev/null's topic in Off the Wall Archives
BB had 62 episodes. BCS has always been a 10 episode deal so even a 6th season just gets them to 60. I'm gonna need to go back and watch S4 again... -
You would certainly know!

It's too bad he threw him back.

Who Is Your Least Favorite Bill of All Time ... and Why?
eball replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Isn't there speculation out there that Ronnie Harmon purposely dropped the TD against Cleveland because he was on the take? If so he wins least favorite Bill ever, hands down. Funny, I thought his full name was Holding On Will Grant. -
Yeah, Rap -- AVP did wonders with that QB room in Cinci...

You are a sad little dude.

Gregg Rosenthal says "Make Josh Allen's life easier"
eball replied to HerdMenatlity1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nah, it was a dig. We can agree to disagree, and I don't scour the internet looking for reasons to be outraged. I think Rosenthal pretty clearly doesn't like Allen. -
How is this relevant to whether or not Ass Chin deserves all the power he has accumulated? Most of those Bills teams were awful. Are you one of the "we have no right to criticize others if we suck" fans?

Reggie Ragland speaks out about his career and leaving Buffalo...
eball replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He stated his opinion. The "facts" are that he is a part-time player on an "ok" defense, yet he said the Bills didn't give him a chance to play (inferring he would have justified his draft selection). I will politely disagree with your assessment. -
Reggie Ragland speaks out about his career and leaving Buffalo...

@Lurker and @DrDawkinstein you guys clearly didn't understand the context of my post (or follow up). It would be nice if folks could actually read. I didn't "hate" on Ragland and I didn't say he trashed the Bills -- I simply find it interesting how pro athletes' perception of what happened often doesn't match reality. -
Reggie Ragland speaks out about his career and leaving Buffalo...
eball replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You sound a bit sensitive. Reggie Ragland, on a good day, plays roughly 1/3 of the snaps for a mediocre defense. He's not what he was purported to be yet talked about how Buffalo didn't "give him a chance" to play. He didn't bash the organization but his perspective on who he is doesn't seem to match reality. That's the amusing part to me. -
Holy overreaction, Batman!

Until they're not. I think that's the whole point. What other breed presents as many challenges?

Gregg Rosenthal says "Make Josh Allen's life easier"
eball replied to HerdMenatlity1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Terrible column. Rosenthal takes two not-so-veiled shots at Allen while supposedly writing about how the Bills can win a Super Bowl. Calls him a "poor man's Cam Newton" and makes some other comment that gives insight into his opinion that Allen isn't any good. I wish I hadn't clicked because I feel dumber for having done so. -
Countdown until Vic Carucci joins The Athletic...10, 9, 8....

Reggie Ragland speaks out about his career and leaving Buffalo...
eball replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Who's sensitive? I find it interesting to hear what players say when they leave an organization. It gives insight into the athlete's mind. Very often it doesn't truly match reality. I think this is a little bit of over-moderation, to be frank. It's Super Bowl week, Ragland is on the Chiefs, and it's not as if people are confused as to what the topic is. But whatever. -
I'd say the fact that he has a top 10 QB, top 5 WR, and top 5 DE but can't get past the divisional round of the playoffs speaks to Ass Chin's fitness as Mr. Everything. Compare, for example, what McDermott has done in three years with far less talent.

O’Brien and Marrone must get together in the off-season in some secret locale and just giggle like schoolgirls at how they have fleeced these teams.
