Great, great listen for those who don't have a predisposed notion to discredit anything Palmer says about Allen.
-
Oh brother. Just don't visit a Jordan Palmer thread if you aren't going to accept anything he says because he is Allen's paid coach, ok? It will save you a lot of trouble and it will save us from having to read this when we are actually interested in what he's saying.

This is a true "love it or hate it" track. It's a little gimmicky, and totally a target course. If you can't hit your clubs somewhat consistently you'll be in trouble all day. That said, I really enjoy playing there. It's unique and (I think) a fun layout. Makes you think about each shot. I wouldn't recommend it for a beginning golfer but if your handicap is under 20 I think you'd enjoy it.

I haven't felt this good about the "state of the Bills" since...

There’s no debate here. You’re a miserable fan who won’t acknowledge progress until a Lombardi is hoisted, which is ludicrous. I’m one of the most tolerant people you’ll never meet (that’s not a typo). I’d wish you a nice day but I know you’re incapable of having one because somebody hasn’t lived up to your standards. -
Jaguars to decline DT Marcell Dareus' option
eball replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is most certainly not a "loss." If you really think the Bills -- both then and now -- would have been better off keeping Dareus, I don't know what to tell you. -

Fork in the road? Geesh, you "show me" guys just keep moving the goalposts. It's amazing how you can't even bring yourself to admit that the organization is in its best shape in a couple of decades. Just remarkable. -
That's pretty cool. I've attended two US Opens at Pinehurst...went on both Friday and Sunday in 2005, and on Sunday in 2014.

Doesn't this thread belong on Off the Wall? And no.

umm, yeah, that’s what I said. Re-read the OP. -

@Chandler#81 and @Lurker -- just to be clear, again, I'm not comparing the rosters and/or accomplishments of the two teams (1990 and 2018) -- I'm comparing my feeling right now that the organization is in good shape to how I felt after that first Super Bowl loss. It's a calm, confident feeling that I don't think this management group (Pegula/Beane/McD) will screw things up and we are in line for many good years to come. -

I dunno, man, that's a pretty rough take. -
She's clearly not from Great Britain...look at those teeth! p.s. 18 stone is a LOAD!

...the beginning of the 1990 offseason (after the first SB loss). At that time we knew the team was outstanding and poised for continued success. Now, of course the current version of the Bills has not accomplished anything close to that team, but my confidence level going forward is the highest it has been since that time. Solid management in place, a really good HC who is universally respected, financial health (i.e., salary cap), a roster littered with young talent, and resources to improve even further. I don't see how anyone could look at the Bills' organization and not say the arrow is clearly pointing up. I don't even care about the mock drafts -- Beane & Co. have proven to me they know what they're looking for. If a player doesn't make it, it won't be because Beane didn't do his homework. This is a very comforting feeling to have. I can't possibly be alone in this sentiment?

Thank you.

I'll never forget that also happening to a TE against the Ravens in OT in Baltimore...circa 2010 or 2011...

I'm happy for Tua. That would have been a horrible way to lose a promising career.

Looks like the NFL is about to have the New CBA.
eball replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow, I can't remember as seamless a transition to a new CBA in the NFL. Kudos to both sides for getting it done. Of course, all of the bags of cash coming in made it easier. -
Three times old, once new...they did a great job with the "renovation" (which was really a restoration of the original).

Blast from the past. Certainly remember going there as a kid.

Based upon this post, I’m guessing you find 99.9% of the people you come into contact with “total douches.” What a bizarre take.

I’ve been fortunate enough to play #2 four times and this advice is dead on. The greens are unreal and local advice is key.
