  1. From The Athletic so its behind a paywall: https://theathletic.com/1863184/2020/06/11/ten-things-a-football-nerds-guide-to-the-2020-buffalo-bills/ "There was no run play in football more likely to produce a positive outcome than an Allen carry."
  2. https://www.theringer.com/nfl/2020/5/20/21264955/stefon-diggs-buffalo-bills-number-1-receiver Some good stuff here.
  3. Ive always heard its because of the spread offenses thats so prevalent in HS and college. They dont learn true technique for a pocket "pro-style" passer. Now that what is considered "pro-style" is changing to be more spread, I wonder if the perceived lack of O-lineman will change too.
  4. heck ill take it. I live downtown but im at work now. I could pick it up this weekend.
  5. Interesting that neither the Pats and now the Chargers have numbers on the sleeves. in 2019 there wasnt a single team that didnt have sleeve numbers: https://news.sportslogos.net/2019/09/08/2019-nfl-week-1-uniform-matchups/. Now there are two. Must be a trend or an NFL rule change.
  6. Hes really personable. Went along with their jokes as well as I could have hoped. I also loved the little tidbits of how he prepares for the draft.
  7. He also broke the OBJ trade news. When he has something it is usually real and big. He doesnt meddle in the small-time news. One guess: Gronk coming out of retirement and playing for the Buccs.
  8. Uhhh, except for the guy you put as #1. I think its Jackson #1 and then Darnold/Allen/Mayfield are all tied for 2nd at this point in terms of ability to play QB. The Bills are just a much more complete team/organization than the Jets and Browns. Year three will show the trend, does Allen continue to rise and Baker continue to fall? We shall see.
  9. Theyve always lost guys and had new ones fill in. Theyve shipped out Seymour, Collins. Lost Gronk, Welker, Moss, etc and they continue to win. I will never doubt them until I see it with my own eyes. I dont think they can do from 12-4 to under 6 wins with Belichek still steering the ship. I dont think its inconceivable that Stidham can replicate what Brady did from a stats perspective. Whether or not that translates to wins, time will tell. I remember the time when we hired McDermott we turned over our entire secondary and that was supposed to be our biggest weakness and it was our best unit. If anyone can fill voids with next-men-up its Belichek.
  10. I do not worry about Jarrett Stidham, I worry about Bill Belichek. He went 11-5 with Cassel and 3-1 when Brady was suspended. We also dont know how good/bad Stidham might be. And their defense was good, even if it was overhyped for most of the year. They won the division last year and Brady was brutal for most of the season.

  12. Without a QB I dont see MIA being good. Theyre rising but not there with Fitz and likely not with a rookie QB either. Ill never count the Pats out unfortunately.
  13. One benefit is the three best QBs we will play next year we have at home. Entire AFC East has to play Mahomes and Wilson but we get them in Buffalo, along with Big Ben. Our away schedule is less daunting with SF being the only really scary team on the list. Add in that we are the most talented team in the AFC East, I think its clear we are in the drivers seat for the division. Both the Pats and NYJ play the Rams, Seahawks and Chiefs away.
  14. I care less that Josh is that low than Baker being that high. 10?? Given last years results I don't think you can really separate Josh, Baker or Darnold all that much. To have him at 10 is ridiculous. Yea 23 is fine. I think the difference between 23 and 18 on any of these lists is very narrow.
  15. Its just misleading and gives the idea that the Pats have maybe found some loophole. If they didnt have the $13.5 in dead money from Brady they would be in the running for Cam or another higher-priced QB. But since they are cap strapped they are not able to pay a QB any more money
  16. This is disingenuous since Brady counts $13.5 mill towards the cap in dead money this year. So the Pats are currently paying over $15mill at the QB position and are very tight against the cap. The same is also true for the Jaguars.
  17. I would say upgrading at O-line would have helped. We were fine but not stellar there. We did a great job of replacing/upgrading at other weak positions.
  18. I believe you have to own the teams in the same city which is what made it ok for the Pegulas, but I think that the Jacobs' family would have had to sell the Bruins since they are in a different city. Also this is a pretty commonly discussed loophole. Im sure its done all over the place.
  19. I think most people would have him below Tua and Burrow based on college performance. Both those guys had wildly successful careers in the toughest conference in football. Josh was just ok in the Mountain West. Beyond that is where its tricky and Josh's variance has always been super high. Id bet some people would have him third on the list and others would have him as a third round selection.
  20. I thought the article was pretty spot on. Maybe the "broad side of a barn" comment was a bit harsh, but over all it seemed to nail it. This year is make or break for JA, no excuses.
  21. competition/depth. Norman may not make the team if he cant beat out others.
