  1. The team's own offense and defense are going at each other in TC every day (especially after the pads came on). Other teams in Preseason are going to be vanilla and not show anything. Pre-season is not for your starters....it is for putting the fringe players a chance to make plays in live action - as they may not get the same opportunity during the TC where reps are limited and must be shared with the starters. The Bills should keep their day 1 starters away from the remaining two pre-seasons and use the rest of TC to get the timing aligned by going against each other.
  2. OBJ is still on the list inspite of injury. Just saying !
  3. The bottom 50 done and we have zero bills on that list. What are the chances for others to be in the top 50... Josh Allen and Stephon Diggs. I don't think anyone else has a chance at this time....Deion Dawkins?? Tre White??
  4. I agree. He needs to let Brady deal with the sideline and getting into the QB's head. The OC has a bigger game to look that includes the QBs, WRs, TE, RB and OL. His best place in the room with the heated seats.
  5. It takes time. You got to nurture and let them grow us a group. The problem is everyone is looking at the replacements to be Kay and Nate. Jamie and Jason need to be themselves and bring fresh value to this team. It is like when people say I want Josh Allen to be Jim Kelly. It is insane. I want Josh Allen to be Josh Allen. that is his legacy to this organization. Go Bills !
  6. The Bengals have a strong defense and that carried them to the Super Bowl. they knew how to counter the KC high powered offense. They have a great WR tandem. Their weak link was OL and they have loaded on it in the draft and FA this year, The Bengals will be a huge threat in the AFC Conference.
  7. Why not. The team has been built brick by brick and this is year 5...Everyone knows that once Allen's contract kicks in, we will not be able to keep such a strong team together. The Time is NOW. And it is not a 'hope' here.....there is confidence that this team can do anything after the 125 minutes of Playoffs last year.
  8. As per reports on that day, the Bills did not respect the opponent. The Jaguars took that to heart and pounded on us.
  9. Josh was not ready. He played one good quarter in pre-season and then was disappointing in the other. They knew he was still raw and his mechanics needed correction. They were not going to throw him to the wolves and then they just did that...because they saw Peterman was terrible !!!!! Took his lumps in the 1st year...corrected his mechanics in year two....and then built better anticipation and to trust his receivers as Diggs came in.....rest is history !
  10. The AFC is wide open.... Guys named. Burrow, Jackson, Herbert will all disagree
  11. Agreed. And Wilson too!
  12. so well put. And the new aspect that he is continuing to learn and get better is to see the field and take decisions. Last year, in the games we won he took what the defense gave him and dove down the field...The first TD against the Patriots in the playoffs is a shining example. It is a maturation process and he has adapted and adopted it. Go BIlls!
  13. What about Edmunds ? I think Edmunds and KNox get their extensions done this year. Oliver will have to wait next year. His 2023-24 season will be his FIFTH season and will play under the option. Next year, I see players such as Morse, Hyde etc retiring or get cut. Their cap numbers are very large. (And so will Poyer).
  14. The Vikings hurdle, The Jaguars heave, the Miami Crush...those were wonderful ! Also Mel Kiper had a great point during the draft.... Allen did not have enough throws per game in college to consistently evaluate his accuracy. What he saw was a guy who wanted to win at all costs.
  15. Plus Pittsburgh has some real good WRs and a TE
  16. Can't wait. Go Bills !
  17. I understand and fully agree. But that is how Josh is going to be measured. If you find that one early success Josh Allen video - Steve Young says exactly the same thing. I am not second guessing Allen. I am saying what perspectives others may have. You have to look at it from a general perspective and not a Bills fan.
  18. And there might be a possibility that the Bills may trade him in-season (before trade deadline) if Cook has a blazing start.
  19. Oliver will be a Bills anchor for this D for a long time. The cost will be high,
  20. If the Bills are planning to pay Edmunds, Knox and Oliver, then there will be no money left for Singletary. The Bills will keep the RB as a non-premium position for salary cap and ride rookie deals. They won't be able to pay everyone market value. Even Poyer will most likely fall into that category as the Bills will not be able to commit to 20M to the Saftey position.
  21. Josh Allen needs a "Monkey Off the Back" moment like Steve Young had to go through in the early 90s. Unless and until you win the super bowl, people will always be doubters. Mahommes has won a Super Bowl, gone to two and ended up a game short in two other AFC Championships. If you compare apples to apples, Allen has fallen short during the same 4 year period Allen probably had the "TWO" Best b2b playoff games in the league's history and yet that was not enough for him to win the Super Bowl. At the end that is how one is perceived - fair or not. If you take away the hype, every year Mahomes, Brady and Rodgers have better statistics than Allen and probably have more wins than Allen. They have also played in more championship games than Allen (1). Allen is a GREAT QB and ONE of the best in the current NFL. He needs to become the BEST and win championships. Until then these second guessing will continue. McDermott needs to help Allen to get the crown to take that monkey-off-the-back.
  22. And Josh was out with a shoulder injury after being slammed to the ground
