Albert Breer (MMQB) on the Dan Patrick Show
ganesh replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall
so well put. And the new aspect that he is continuing to learn and get better is to see the field and take decisions. Last year, in the games we won he took what the defense gave him and dove down the field...The first TD against the Patriots in the playoffs is a shining example. It is a maturation process and he has adapted and adopted it. Go BIlls! -
What about Edmunds ? I think Edmunds and KNox get their extensions done this year. Oliver will have to wait next year. His 2023-24 season will be his FIFTH season and will play under the option. Next year, I see players such as Morse, Hyde etc retiring or get cut. Their cap numbers are very large. (And so will Poyer).

The Vikings hurdle, The Jaguars heave, the Miami Crush...those were wonderful ! Also Mel Kiper had a great point during the draft.... Allen did not have enough throws per game in college to consistently evaluate his accuracy. What he saw was a guy who wanted to win at all costs. -
Mitch Trubisky talks about his time in Buffalo. Interesting Read.

Plus Pittsburgh has some real good WRs and a TE -
Can't wait. Go Bills !

I understand and fully agree. But that is how Josh is going to be measured. If you find that one early success Josh Allen video - Steve Young says exactly the same thing. I am not second guessing Allen. I am saying what perspectives others may have. You have to look at it from a general perspective and not a Bills fan.

Where will Devin Singletary end up after this season?
ganesh replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall
And there might be a possibility that the Bills may trade him in-season (before trade deadline) if Cook has a blazing start. -
Oliver will be a Bills anchor for this D for a long time. The cost will be high,

If the Bills are planning to pay Edmunds, Knox and Oliver, then there will be no money left for Singletary. The Bills will keep the RB as a non-premium position for salary cap and ride rookie deals. They won't be able to pay everyone market value. Even Poyer will most likely fall into that category as the Bills will not be able to commit to 20M to the Saftey position. -
Josh Allen needs a "Monkey Off the Back" moment like Steve Young had to go through in the early 90s. Unless and until you win the super bowl, people will always be doubters. Mahommes has won a Super Bowl, gone to two and ended up a game short in two other AFC Championships. If you compare apples to apples, Allen has fallen short during the same 4 year period Allen probably had the "TWO" Best b2b playoff games in the league's history and yet that was not enough for him to win the Super Bowl. At the end that is how one is perceived - fair or not. If you take away the hype, every year Mahomes, Brady and Rodgers have better statistics than Allen and probably have more wins than Allen. They have also played in more championship games than Allen (1). Allen is a GREAT QB and ONE of the best in the current NFL. He needs to become the BEST and win championships. Until then these second guessing will continue. McDermott needs to help Allen to get the crown to take that monkey-off-the-back.

And Josh was out with a shoulder injury after being slammed to the ground

In Mac's defense though, his defense POOPED big time giving up 7 TDs on 7 drives in a playoff game. They guy earlier had indeed put a 7-game win streak. Mac Jones will be a good QB that will lead their team to playoffs and may be even championships. He is a very accurate QB who will improve this season tremendously. The Patriots will be the ones who will be fighting it out with the Bills for the AFC East crown

The problem last year was the inconsistent QB play in the belly of the schedule. He was hot one week only to follow it with a cold week.

JA’s contract continues to look better with each new QB contract
ganesh replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I also expect JA to extend before his contract is up, especially when he wins a lombardi. -
It is funny how the OP has put the onus on all the teams for why they will be great or worse (full control of their destiny). However, for the Bills, he has made the worst case scenario be dependent on another team (Miami).... If the Bills do their thing (like the other teams, they should be winning the division irrespective of how Miami does)
-
General Managers have the mandate to put together a team to not only win the Lombardi but also bring entertainment to the fans...They got to put butts on the seats and the PSL etc. There is that! Doesn't the same apply to the Bills ?
-
Josh's deal will become expensive once we win the Lombardi. He will be forced to renegotiate.
-
Do we have the Road Grader guards to allow our RBs a hole to squirt through ?
-
May be the Bills are spreading out their total number of practices over a longer period of time....You know it is Summer!
-
The biggest threat to the Bills will be the Chiefs and the Chargers.... The Chiefs - Because we haven't yet beaten them in the Playoffs or have the road to the SB go through Buffalo. The Chargers have added key pieces to their defense...That defense with bookend DEs and some great DBs is very scary. If the Chargers have a good coaching staff this season, they will win the AFC West.
-
And don't forget sneaky Knox

Josh Allen Kyle Williams American Century Classic Golf Tournament.
ganesh replied to CowgirlsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Or simply just beat them consistently I can definitely see Josh and Mahomes on a State Farm commercial this season. -
However, people like Doug Marrone still got 2nd jobs (Pretty quickly) with such putrid win/losses. His record was Buffalo - 15-17. and immediately got the JAX job. Went 23-43 in 4 seasons at JAX. (He was given four seasons for being mediocre). Worst was that Doug was neither good in offense nor defense. On the flip side, Greg Williams went 17-31 in his four seasons in Buffalo; but never got to be HC again other than an interim stint in Cleveland.
