Neal re-signed with the Bills on a 3-year contract this off season. He is not going anywhere.
-
I think they need O.J. Howard. Putting two TEs on the field will create mismatch for this offense. I don't think Sweeney or Morris is that 2nd TE.
-
The FB literally allowed Moss to walk into the End Zone. We never know, This team is against the cap. Wouldn't be surprised if the team went with some of the younger players for STs. Something is gotta give

How many trades does Beane make the next 3 weeks?
ganesh replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
Moss will be on this roster. Singletary is gone next year in FA. Moss will have one more year on his rookie contract. Moss, Cook and Blackshear will be the RBs next season. The Bills have identified that they will not pay FA money to RBs. Moss is here to stay for that simple fact (besides being a good back) -
It depends on what is it called....Is it a Top 100 NFL PLayers of 2021 Season? or is it building a list of best 100 NFL players entering the 2022 Football season? Two different things. When I looked up the show, it says "Top 100 NFL Players of 2022"

Hodgins doesn't play ST. He doesn't beat out Kumerow in that regards. Hodgins is fighting for that 5th WR spot with Crowder and Austin. The Bills need to identify which among them brings the best value to the team. Crowder and Austin have NFL experience,
-
Diggs, Davis are currently 1 & 2. McKenzie has taken hold of the slot position after a fabulous TC; it was also aided by the absence of Crowder during camp. Shakir is a team draft pick that they love and he has shown his flashes during TC and Preseason, He takes #4 Usually #6 WR is also expected to play ST. Jake Kumerow has the inside track to that 6th spot as Tavon Austin, Crowder and Hodgins DON'T play ST. That leaves only the #5 WR spot - It boils down to Crowder, Tavon Austin and Hodgins. Hodgins played well in the pre-season game. Is it enough though? Crowder and Austin are known football players. Crowder has excelled in the slot while Austin has played all positions. Do the Bills want a pure slot receiver or wiling to look for a more all-round player. If it is the former, then it is possibly Crowder in the 53-man roster; otherwise it is most likely Tavon Austin. It would be interesting to know why Austin did not play the preseason. Was he held out like a 'starter' or was he injured? If it was the former, then he probably has a lock on that 5th WR spot already! Go Bills !

You were watching pre-season game of Jacksonville ?????

Thoughts about starters during the rest of preseason
ganesh replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
Voted no. Starters can get their 'game-day' experience in practice by going against their own defense or offense. Anyways, the opponent team is also likely to play Vanilla and not show anything. The two games are required for the 2nd and 3rd stringers for getting game day experience as REPs are in high demand during TC/Practice and those players may not always get that in the practice. The Pre-season game gives them an opportunity to play more reps as the starters won't play. -

I think they will keep Singletary, Moss, Cook and Blackshear. Taiwan Jones will be cut. Singletary will be gone at the end of this year as he will become a FA. they have Moss for two more seasons (including this season) at the rookie contract. I think Boogie and AJ both make the team. -
I think with Blackshear's ability to play ST, there will be serious consideration to replace Taiwan Jones. Tyler may also be a camp cut if Bernand and Spector continue to improve. Siran Neal was already extended this offseason and he is not going anywhere.
-
The team's own offense and defense are going at each other in TC every day (especially after the pads came on). Other teams in Preseason are going to be vanilla and not show anything. Pre-season is not for your starters....it is for putting the fringe players a chance to make plays in live action - as they may not get the same opportunity during the TC where reps are limited and must be shared with the starters. The Bills should keep their day 1 starters away from the remaining two pre-seasons and use the rest of TC to get the timing aligned by going against each other.

OBJ is still on the list inspite of injury. Just saying !
-
The bottom 50 done and we have zero bills on that list. What are the chances for others to be in the top 50... Josh Allen and Stephon Diggs. I don't think anyone else has a chance at this time....Deion Dawkins?? Tre White??
-
I agree. He needs to let Brady deal with the sideline and getting into the QB's head. The OC has a bigger game to look that includes the QBs, WRs, TE, RB and OL. His best place in the room with the heated seats.
-
It takes time. You got to nurture and let them grow us a group. The problem is everyone is looking at the replacements to be Kay and Nate. Jamie and Jason need to be themselves and bring fresh value to this team. It is like when people say I want Josh Allen to be Jim Kelly. It is insane. I want Josh Allen to be Josh Allen. that is his legacy to this organization. Go Bills !
-
Why not. The team has been built brick by brick and this is year 5...Everyone knows that once Allen's contract kicks in, we will not be able to keep such a strong team together. The Time is NOW. And it is not a 'hope' here.....there is confidence that this team can do anything after the 125 minutes of Playoffs last year.

Is Mahomes-Allen the new Brady-Manning? (The Ringer podcast episode)
ganesh replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
As per reports on that day, the Bills did not respect the opponent. The Jaguars took that to heart and pounded on us. -
Josh was not ready. He played one good quarter in pre-season and then was disappointing in the other. They knew he was still raw and his mechanics needed correction. They were not going to throw him to the wolves and then they just did that...because they saw Peterman was terrible !!!!! Took his lumps in the 1st year...corrected his mechanics in year two....and then built better anticipation and to trust his receivers as Diggs came in.....rest is history !
