The quote for this week's drinking game is "A win is a win"
-
We're still blaming London? Really? 😄 It has nothing to do with perfection. It's not unreasonable for fans to ask that we don't get shutout for the first 3 quarters.

10/15/23 Week #6 SNF GAMEDAY Bills vs Giants Pregame Thread
QCity replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
McD showing a lot of class by not running it up. -
Kaiir Elam is a liability any time he is on the field
QCity replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't expect him to shoot 0 for 10 either, but here we are. -
Rangers blocked 23 shots, that's crazy. Sabres really looked flat for most of the night, they grip the sticks too tight at home.

Milano/Jones BOTH require surgery; Per McDermott
QCity replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
I probably would have said Milano and Tre, simply because I don't like our CB depth at all. Also fans need to stop with this "all teams have injuries" false equivalence. Yes, every team has to deal with pulled hamstrings, concussions, hip pointers, rolled ankles, etc, etc. No, every team does not have to deal with losing 3 key defensive starters for the entire season by the 1st week of October. -
I'm pretty sure Reinhart started with the team. 18 and 19yr-olds can play 9 games without burning a year of their entry-level contracts. That's the same situation Benson is in right now.

What are you gonna do? Stand in the street and shake your fist?

I can guarantee you they do not understand this or the Bills cap situation next year. Don't buy an Epenesa jersey - just sayin'
-
I would rather face Jones. Tyrod and his sandlot style of football is more chaotic.

Rasmus Dahlin signs 8 year 88 million dollar extension
QCity replied to Walking Tall's topic in Off the Wall
I'd say it's a much better contract for Dahlin. -
I mean, they kinda did.

Calvin Ridley was a low-key amazing signing for the Jags. With no term virtually no risk and potential for huge reward.

Roger Goodell said today's game was an experiment??
QCity replied to Bubba Gump's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, burning one of our home games is really the cherry on top of this sh!t sundae. -
Roger Goodell said today's game was an experiment??
QCity replied to Bubba Gump's topic in The Stadium Wall
No. The NFL has a standard G4 loan that contributes $200M and is paid back. Someone needs to ask Roger what exactly did he learn from this experiment. -
Kaiir Elam is a liability any time he is on the field
QCity replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
There were a lot of fans trying to convince themselves that losing Tre was no big deal. Sorry, but it was a big deal and there's a reason Elam was inactive the first 4 weeks. -
I've never been an advocate for paying RB's, but 3 years at the age of 24 isn't the worst contract. It's no coincidence that it ends when Richardson's comes up for renewal.
-
This is a good point. Our front office "loved him, didn’t want to lose him" and were in constant talks about re-signing. Send a huge thanks to Chicago and Ryan Poles for taking the decision out of our hands. You can't pay that much money for an off-the-ball linebacker.

This is painful to watch. More flags than points.

Tre White Injury Updates (Torn Achilles now confirmed)
QCity replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Unless the rules have changed, not until the start of training camp. For the record I don't think the settlement thing will happen, just throwing it out there. There's so many variables to consider (i.e. the player's stature, etc) and so much uncertainty still. The only thing certain right now is that this sucks. -

Tre White Injury Updates (Torn Achilles now confirmed)
QCity replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
In the NFL an injured player cannot be released. Injury settlements are typically used in place of putting a player on IR for the rest of the season. However once a settlement is reached in this fashion, the player is immediately released. This would be extremely unlikely to happen this season. Because White is a vested veteran (4+ years of service) he can be put on IR next March without having to go through injury waivers. This would allow them to attempt a settlement and release the player which would give the Bills cap relief ($16M but like $10M dead) and allow White to tryout for another team. -

It sucks but I have to agree with the Bills part. That $16M cap hit for a guy that now has 2 major injuries isn't wise.
