McD thought he was being clever with that timeout usage making them rush on the field to kick, completely oblivious to the fact that they are coached better and our special teams would be more likely to screw up.

[QUESTION] Your Opinion On This Team Will Change Tonight If:
QCity replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall
One game against a bottom-feeder isn't going to move the needle for me. Though it would be nice for the offense to put up some points and for Von Miller to do something against his old team. -
The procedure he had (hip resurfacing) is very invasive and almost like a hip replacement. I would be really wary about this.

You see it in the blank stares during losses, of course, but that spark of joy doesn’t crackle like it once did even in triumph. We saw a glimpse when the Bills slobberknocked the Miami Dolphins in Week 4, but that was forever ago. Subsequent victories over the New York Giants and Tampa Bay Buccaneers elicited mere sighs of relief.

I'm really not one to complain about the refs, but where the heck was the consistency in that game?

Graham: Remember when the Buffalo Bills used to have fun? Once among the NFL’s most entertaining clubs, the Bills have become a primetime bore. Last year, they averaged 31 points while going undefeated in five night games. The Bills enter Monday night’s matchup against the Denver Broncos with a 2-2 primetime record and averaging 18 points. You can’t fake fun, and Buffalo’s just not having it. Remember those F-you plays? Showing up the Pittsburgh Steelers’ defense right after their “Renegade” hype song? Throwing a touchdown pass to rookie backup tackle Tommy Doyle while already beating the New England Patriots by 30 in the fourth quarter? John Brown and Cole Beasley chucking touchdowns, Josh Allen catching them? Defensive tackle Kyle Williams getting touches? Isaiah McKenzie capering about? Buffalo used to exude confidence. It was cocksure, defiant, downright giddy in their dominance. All that’s gone lately. ------- “A lack of big plays has taken some of the energy out of it,” Davis admitted. Chunk plays are fun. So, too, are trick plays. The Bills don’t do those anymore either. In the 27 games Ken Dorsey has been offensive coordinator, no one other than a quarterback has attempted a pass, and no one other than a running back, receiver or tight end has caught. Under Daboll, non-quarterbacks completed six of eight passes for 104 yards and four touchdowns — not counting special teams chicanery. Brown threw two touchdowns, Beasley and McKenzie one apiece. Non-skill players under Daboll caught six of eight targets for 46 yards and five touchdowns. Left tackle Dion Dawkins has two career TD receptions. The universe smiles upon fat guy touchdowns. ------- “Of course, there’s the fun factor of it,” Mitchell Schwartz, the Chiefs’ former All-Pro right tackle, once told The Athletic for a story about the power of unusual plays, “but mentally knowing your coach is going to listen to you, find ways to let you do things you normally don’t get to, not succumb to monotony and make sure guys are having fun and engaged, that mentality goes beyond just a single play here or there. “It really bleeds down into the overall work environment, and everyone feels more engaged.” A pretty interesting read for The Athletic subscribers basically summarizing what most of us see - that the offense exudes all the swagger and fun of someone who is about to get audited by the IRS.

Cards play the Bears later this year so a Bears loss could setup the Tank Bowl in December.
-
Not so subtle tank job? This game may have huge ramifications for #1 pick.

They had Kelce on so long I thought Al was about to dip out.

Yeah, this one is rough.

I mean, he's not going to get faster as he gets older.

Poll: Top reason for the Offense's underperformance
QCity replied to Fan in Chicago's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dorsey has designed an offense that runs through Josh's legs, not his arm. When Josh doesn't run the car can't get out of 1st gear. -
Stuck with Miller for one more year. Even when we cut him after 2024 it's a massive dead cap hit of $9M for the 2025 and 2026. Brutal. Same thing with Knox, we are stuck with him for 2024 essentially. Hate to say it but Tre is likely gone this offseason. Can't justify his $16M cap hit compared to saving $10M if he's cut. The scary thing is (thanks to the restructures) Von only counts $8M towards our cap this year, next year he will count $24M towards the cap and there's not much Beane can do about it now.

Is 10 Wins enough to make the playoffs? What is the path to 10 wins?
QCity replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
There will likely be a 9-8 team in the AFC playoffs just like last year. The AFC is the better conference but there's still a lot of bottom feeders. -
Classic McD.

They honestly played better than I thought they would, I was expecting a blowout. As with most NFL matchups - lose the turnover battle, lose the game.
-
I don't mind if the Goodell makes Jacksonville the defacto European team, but this matchup is criminal for this timeslot. Go f$%k yourself, NFL.

That should get a few fans off the ledge. A few.
