OT: will that FG block by the Pats fundamentally change kicks?
QCity replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
It wasn't just a block, the play was designed to score. Check out Miller running down field in case the blocked ball comes to him. Never seen anything like that. -
Also keep in mind Noah Ostland isn't playing in the prospects games (in Swedish Pro league). They've got 5 1st round forwards in the pipeline.
-
"We're going to get accused of drafting small forwards" "I like good hockey players" Savoie looked great in the prospects game.
-
It's an excellent analysis of that play. The problem of receivers not knowing how long to run a stem route is something that should have been fixed in training camp.

That phrase is nothing more than marketing speak for a rebuild. That's it. Nothing more. It was first used over 10 years ago when the 76ers new GM wanted to rebuild and dealt away their only All-Star, Jrue Holiday. The Philly fanbase was apoplectic, and the "Trust The Process" slogan was used to comfort their nerves and calm them down (of course it also became a rallying cry). The same thing happened here when we jettisoned Dareus and Watkins - our fanbase had a complete meltdown and the phrase was used to settle everyone down akin to waving shiny keys in front of a crying infant. It's not a secret, next-level plan or some mystical force. P.S. 11 years later the 76ers still haven't reached the title game.

The year is 2030. It is August. Gabe Davis is in his 12th year without ever catching 50 passes in a season. There are about 20 threads wondering if Davis could be a true #2 receiver. A dozen morons still think Cole Beasley is coming back at age 41. This..... This is twobillsdrive.com

I hope the coaches can get him to understand that punting the football away is not the end of the world.

Last night was Exhibit A for setting expectations lower.

That was one of the worst coached games I've ever seen. Absolutely no reason to be that hyper-aggressive against a backup QB that can barely throw the ball 20 yds.

Rodgers out for the year (UPDATE: Rodgers wants to return for playoffs)
QCity replied to chongli's topic in The Stadium Wall
If he rehabs and comes back to play next year, yes. But that's a huge question mark. At his age an injury settlement seems a lot more likely. How many players come back from that injury at age 40? I'm going to guess zero. Also, this guy is blowing up on social media, follow him for next week's lottery numbers. -
Start the Diggs hates Buffalo stories again.

It depends if he retires or not. They would have lost their 2024 1st round pick if he played 65% of snaps, but now they only lose their 2024 2nd. So they go that going for them. -

Christ that is brutal. You can tell it snapped and his calf is already balling up. *shudder* -
If anyone has his 1st half and 2nd half stats post them, because that was a bizarre transformation. Forcing deep balls into double coverage, not going out of bounds to get an extra yard, etc, etc, it was just insanely aggressive to do that against a backup QB.
-
It's an aberration for sure, but that offensive gameplan looks eerily similar to what we saw at the end of last year -- no run game and force the ball to Diggs all day.
-
I was expecting to see more 12 personnel.

No, but he's old.

The NYC market certainly does. MNF is ESPN's highest rated program.

yeah, better chance of a turnover than a score with that playcalling.

That sidearm.

Will boogie basham be the next Wyatt Teller for Beane?
QCity replied to Coldfronts's topic in The Stadium Wall
Teller is an indictment against the coaching staff, not Beane. -
If all you see on this forum is constant negativity the problem is with you unfortunately.
