  1. I know the RB's are mad, but SharpFootball and Matt Miller are completely correct (I've been saying it for years too, Matt). After 5+ years in the NFL RB's start breaking down and can't stay on the field, and when you pay an aging star RB top dollar, you typically can't afford to spend resources (draft picks or money) on quality backups at the position. It's the unfortunate reality of today's game. It's a much shrewder move to go bargain shopping for 2-3 cheap upper-tier RB's and invest that money saved into some road-grading offensive linemen. Now you have redundancy in case an RB goes down and an improved OL that can not only open holes but protect your QB.
  2. I could win a lot of money betting Sabres' fans that they didn't know who their ECHL team was. Actually, no, I couldn't. They would ask what the hell is the ECHL.
  3. Don't feel sorry for Gruden, the settlement for the remainder of his $100M contract will ensure he also gets to go on his merry way.
  4. No idea if it's the best but a few years ago we were in St Louis and went to a place called Sugarfire Smoke House. Damn good BBQ everyone we were with raved about it. It's downtown walking distance to hotels and the convention center. Cafeteria style serve and sit and the place was packed, they close whenever they run out of meat for the day.
  5. This is where I'm at. I think a lot of fans are tired of going into season after season of wishful thinking and hope at the most important position on the ice. Unfortunately the time window to make a move that would fit our plans appears to have closed. Gibson has too much term and money for what he's worth and Hellebuyck is a pipe-dream. And it's not the defense. We watched a 41-year old goalie on his last legs put up decent numbers behind the same defense that UPL and Comrie floundered with. Nobody was complaining about the defense during those late season Levi starts. Speaking of which, a lot of people have Levi already penciled in for 50-55 starts with his stats being a direct projection of his 7-game sample size. If that happens, well sure everything is all good -- but that's a lot to ask from a rookie. If he falters or god-forbid gets hurt, this season will wind up ranking very high on the Sabres Disappointment List.
  6. That's really what makes this so laughable. You can't have boomers creating laws regulating technology because they don't understand technology past pushing the power button and then yelling on social media.
  7. ok you want to play GPT-4 "It seems like you have strong opinions about Linus Ullmark's departure from the Buffalo Sabres and his decision to sign with the Boston Bruins. It's not uncommon for players to make choices based on various factors, including their personal and professional goals, financial considerations, and team dynamics. While loyalty to a team is valued by fans, it's important to remember that players have their own career paths to consider. The decisions made by the Buffalo Sabres' management are based on various factors, including team chemistry, financial considerations, and long-term planning. It's understandable that you may have strong feelings about the situation, but it's important to express opinions respectfully and avoid personal attacks. Every fan is entitled to their own preferences and opinions about sports teams. If you have any other topics or questions you'd like to discuss, feel free to let me know!"
  8. ...annnnnnnddddddd here come the loons.
  9. It's a) not downtown and b) not a dome, so the same group of people will be whining for decades.

Yeah, the fame, money and prestige of a college punter 😂 He wasn't prosecuted because the girl and her attorney are full of sh*t.
  11. His offense really doesn't seem to have an identity past "let Josh run around in the backfield like a maniac and wait for him to do something amazing." He hasn't generated any type of running game (outside of our QB of course). We drafted him a shifty RB in the 2nd round with great hands but he doesn't seem to be able to scheme a RB screen game to take pressure off Josh. We doubled down and got him a proven pass-catching RB in Hines, but he quickly got relegated to special teams which is nice, but certainly not the reason we traded for him. When other teams start bracketing Diggs the offense starts to looks pedestrian and again reverts into "Josh has to do everything" mode. I guess you can blame the offensive line for some of the issues but the takes of "it's just his 1st year!" are complete homer nonsense. If he just arrived in town last year that might hold some water, but he's been here since 2019 under Daboll's wing. My contention is that if you gave Dorsey an OC job with anything less than a top-5 QB he would be fired within 2 years.
  12. Is there anything this fanbase can't spin into a positive? 😂
  13. "The Giants had an offer out to Barkley earlier in the year that could've been worth close to $14 million per season, sources have told ESPN. Barkley and his team turned it down." 😂😂 🤡🤡
  14. It's not hatred. Where the hell do you get hatred from?
  15. Yes. The majority of NFL players that left the game in the 70s had to get 9-to-5 jobs and worked until their retirement age. Superstar players made the bulk of their money through endorsements like OJ did with Chevrolet and Hertz. But that was only a handful of the top personalities in the game like Namath, Bradshaw, OJ, etc. Even adjusting for inflation the money was nothing like today. Of course back then football was not a round-the-year job and you could do both. OJ regularly made TV shows and movies in the offseason while under contract with the Bills.
  16. Yeah, that's what got KC over the top. Kadarius Toney.
  17. The takes in this thread 🤡
  18. This has to be an AI bot.
  19. Yeah. That's what happened.
  20. Oh, there's plenty of posters here who thought he was coming back 😂
  21. Athletic article out today on the NHL offseason by Michael Russo and Eric Duhatschek. On Winnipeg - "The most pressing matters revolve around Hellebuyck and Scheifele, who come in at Nos. 1 and 2 on our first edition of the offseason trade board. Hellebuyck is one of the NHL’s few true No. 1, workhorse goaltenders. He won the Vezina in 2020 and is a finalist again. How much is he going to want on a long-term deal? Currently making $6.16 million, he could command $9 million-plus on the open market. Can the Jets stomach that? If he becomes available, don’t be surprised if Buffalo and New Jersey take big swings. One thing we’ve heard early this offseason is that the Sabres have interest in Hellebuyck, with the belief that a genuine No. 1 goaltender could be the last remaining piece in turning them into contenders. Getting one would also allow them to hold off on turning the reins over to Devon Levi until he’s proven to be NHL-ready. The Jets would want young team-controlled assets in exchange, and the Sabres have plenty of those — from a youngish goaltender in Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen to promising talents like Peyton Krebs and even Casey Mittelstadt."
