  1. Are you suggesting that no Trent Dilfer was the primary reason that they did poorly?
  2. I remember not long ago that the Bills NEEDED to draft Lee and his speed.
  3. What makes Joe DiBiase an expert?
  4. Aren't those the defenses that Baker Mayfield played against as well? I don't thing the PAC 10 defenses that Rosen and Darnold played against were particularly stout, either.
  5. What makes his offense a "gimmick" offense? I keep reading that, but I don't ever see an explanation. Every game that I watch shows him throwing plenty of deep and intermediate passes. He doesn't live off of bubble screens and other one-read quick passes behind or just past the line of scrimmage. I honestly can't see what makes him supposedly a worse prospect than the top guys. I guess it must be that he doesn't have a flashy "calling card" trait like Allen's arm-strength, Rosen's pretty passes, Darnold's flashes of brilliance and Jackson's outstanding running ability. I will also say that I have watched all of the game cut-ups of Mike White that I can find and, other than him being a tad slow footed and playing at a lower-level of competition, I don't understand why he isn't rated higher.
  6. I respectfully disagree. Luck, if healthy, is a far better QB than Foles has proven to be. Foles had one great season, lost his job and was a backup came in and struggled at the end of 2017 regular season and then got hot in the playoffs. I would say the odds are that going forward Foles will play more like the backup that he's been for most of his career instead of the guy who had a miracle season and a 3 game hot streak at a very opportune time.
  7. I very much agree with this. A lot of folks seem to think that just because a rookie QB is drafted early that he is automatically "ready" to start right away and conversely, that a QB drafted later (perhaps even later in round 1) "needs a red-shirt year". I think that all rookie QBs will have a learning curve coming into the NFL, learning a new offense, learning how to mesh with new teammates, finding his way to getting along with and leading veteran players with much more experience, etc. Are some rookie QBs more ready to start right away in the NFL than others? Yes, but that doesn't mean that any of them are fully prepared. That would certainly be somewhat unconventional, but I don't think it is a horrible idea. On the other hand, I think that the draft picks that they will likely have to trade to move up to the top to get who they want will leave them with too few picks to make it likely that they will want to spend a 2nd/3rd on someone like Falk or White. I'm thinking that both 1sts and at least 1 2nd will be required to get where they want to be.
  8. Why do you think that they know that? They have enough to trade to 2, 3 or 4 if they want to. it is certainly possible that nobody at the top wants to trade out of their positions. Cleve -QB, NYG - Barkley, Indy - they probably do want to trade, Cleve - already has a ton of picks and may want to use pick 4, Denver will take a QB if they can and then Jets pick.
  9. Man, those kind of articles make me cringe. Clearly, Carolina thought enough of him to exercise his 5th year option last year. Further, McDermott coached him as recently as 2 years ago. If Lotulelei’s performance had diminished that badly, McDermott would have surely known it. Id love to get an actual scout’s reaction to an article like that. Better young players on the rise are still on their rookie contracts and hence aren’t available in FA.
  10. Who said there was no market for him.
  11. Interesting standard- according to that 95% of the players in the league are “very very poor”
  12. Is there anything they could do/anyone they could get that would make you happy?
  13. He had a really good rookie year and his stats have been about level in the years since. I think that may suggest that offenses figured out after his first year that he needed some extra attention, but I don't see declining stats from 2014 to present.
  14. I think this will be a great signing. He is only 28/29 and I don't think he has had any major injuries. I am very happy with the signing - clearly McDermott knows a LOT about him (having coached him).
  15. Disagree - the long view is the appropriate view. Why would you maybe take a lesser prospect just because he might be further along the learning curve? I hope that they are looking for the biggest upside for the next 10 years (at least)
  16. I don’t know, many seem to think he should go 1st overall. i would be very happy with Darnold, Rosen or Mayfield and could be on board with the ultimate physical skills and Clay to mold of Allen. However, I could be quite content to sit at 12 and take Allen or Mayfield, if they are left
  17. I’ve certainly had my Skeletons as well!
  18. I would b pleasantly surprised at that.
  19. Well, because you would be hard pressed to find a player close to as good as Glenn (if he is healthy) in the 3rd round.
  20. If you think the Bills are a QB away from a very serious SB run, then sure. However, if you are trying to build a team that can contend for several years, then I don’t see how he fits.
  21. The idea of 2 first round picks (21, 22) being greater than the 5th or 6th and 2nd round picks is “fan speak “
