Agreed. Going into the Bills pick, he was the one player I didn’t want - and we didn’t even know that his work ethic sucks. His only path to success is to use his size and strength, but he isn’t good at contested catches.

With all the scouting and background checks they do, how did they miss the kind of behavior that he is exhibiting?

Happy to get a win, but this is still not looking good especially on defense.

Hairston, Sanders,Strong, Hoecht, Ogunjobi were key defensive acquisitions who have all missed significant time. Add in Ed Oliver, Daquan Jones, Taron Johnson, Taylor Rapp, Matt Milano and it negates all the effort they made to improve on D. Not realistic to think that doesn’t affect them.

My this defense is truly bad.

McDermott is not the problem. He is about the only thing holding this team together. Defense is a mess - mostly due to injuries. Offense lacks Weapons.

I’m rooting for them, but this is not a team that is a serious championship contender- maybe not even a playoff team.

I don’t know if Samuel is that bad or if the offense is designed poorly. Samuel averaged over 60 receptions for the two years prior to joining the Bills - so did Elijah Moore. Neither of them is that old and haven’t had a significant injury (to my knowledge). They have combined for 13 catches this season. I am not saying that either is a star, but they each have produced some results in the NFL. What happened?

I do not believe that the players are soft. I think that they have a roster full of pros who care. But I don’t disagree that the roster, right now, isn’t strong. They invested heavily in defense, but defense has been decimated by injuries. Of course, to make those investments they had to divert resources from offense. I actually thought that was a good plan, but it hasn’t had a chance to work due to the injuries. They certainly have overestimated the talent that they have on offense, especially at Wr and that is killing them now. Kincaid can’t stay healthy and he is their only viable weapon beyond Allen and Cook.

They will not even win the division and could miss the playoffs. No quick fix coming. Defense decimated by injuries and offense completely hamstrung by having zero weapons besides Allen and Cook. If Kincaid is out, too there can be little legitimate hope.

Nope - it’s about a Bills’ roster devoid of talent.

He is not good - one out of 20 targets making a play is awful.

They have nobody capable of getting open downfield.

I think McDermott is a very good coach and leader, but players matter and they don’t have good enough players. The defense has been undone by injuries (Oliver, Sanders, Hairston, Johnson, Rapp, Milano, etc), but O is terrible because they have 0 NFL staring Wrs. How you can have Josh Allen and NOT get home some WRs is beyond stupid.

Objectively look at this roster and tell me that this is a playoff team. It is not.

Pull Allen to keep him healthy - it ain’t happening today.
