While you may handle the conversation responsibly... there are those that certainly do not. while race may not be a factor for you - I have a hard time believing it’s not a major factor for some and an incremental issue (probably even total subconsciously) for many. Cams brash and deserves some comments for sure. I’m not saying he’s perfect. I do think the rubric for scoring black QBs is generally a little harsher than their counterparts though.

As ones had drug, domestic abuse issues, etc... while the other is mostly just brash in his TD celebrations on his way to the super bowl in an mvp caliber season.... That we are comparing the two as apples to apples miiiiight give some credence to us being harder on the black guy. Not everyone but almost certainly some. As Johnny’s been out of the league for years now... maybe not the best metric?

Not so flattering write-up on Ray Lewis and the NFL
NoSaint replied to Heavy Kevi's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Really to become the pinnacle of nfl moral superiority somehow. He’s the god fearing uber motivating and ultimate teammate with the murder as not even an asterisk but is a footnote to a footnote to a special edition limited print of the book on his career. It’s anazing how his reputation has so little hint of it for many fans. Define skeletons? Cause I definitely have some things I’m not super proud of but none of the murder variety. -
Bills trade with Browns for Corey Coleman

Yup- all upside really. I’d trade conditional day 3 picks for first round guys in bad situations all day. Typically even the big first round busts are above average for day 3 picks and without the bonus or picking up the option the contracts aren’t bad if they flop either. -

Benjamin zay coleman kerley could be a functional top 4 and we have some decent 5-7 type guys for depth/upside. He’s a risk but he at least gives a better shot at fielding a competent group -
Fitz worked pretty hard on it. And short of Orton I’d say most of those guys cared

Theres also some dynamic that his current gm was involved in that Carolina front office. Which adds an interesting wrinkle. And that the guy that gm drafted is another guy that has a boatload of physical gifts but questionable accuracy. And once helped draft and now traded for KB. KB saying that he’d have been better off without Carolina and cam has to play an even stranger note to beanes ear than ours

If any other team traded up to take a guy in the top 10 and that guy wasn’t beating out peterman and McCarron we would be roasting them a bit. It’s natural. You take the high risk guy and until he shows reward you will get some skepticism. The optics right now warrant a raised eyebrow from outsiders.

The problem of course being that you and I know next to nothing about shady in his free time.

Yea, but only because a homeless guy told him he’d be good To be fair... I don’t think he’s going anywhere but those are fair comments for tonight’s evaluation

Almost always glance. Often my gf won’t know the bands as well so it’s a good excuse to hone in on some tunes the week or two prior to help make sure she is familiar with what we’re actually seeing. Thats cause you were at a daughtry concert. Did people really want him to come back?

Bills injury updates - Training Camp/Preseason
NoSaint replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe stick to actual injuries and not every cramp, or rest on the sidelines? Otherwise this threads going to be useless fast -
Are there many arguing that?

In three years this will either be an incredibly high or low moment to look back on. pretty much everything he does will be viewed through the lens of whether he succeeds

There are tons of good ones left! That you didn’t know Bingham points to you needing to check out some more. There’s a pretty good group that’s outside the Nashville pop country scene and actually putting out great country/Americana/folk Saw them headline a small club show before their album came out. Great young musicians and only struggled a little filling the set. Problem is they are so dead on zeppelin that they almost seem gimmicky. They need to find themselves a bit more- but have a ton of potential.
