  1. Disregard Augie too - he’s another northeastern elitist like me. for serious though, what’s your tie to bama, @Sky Diver? Did you go? Did you watch them on tv with your dad? Did an LSU fan bully you and now you get your revenge with Saban? Any time someone is this dedicated I get genuinely curious about their story. Even if I slide in a joke or two here and there I’m actually seriously interested in how a northeastern guy got this passionate about a state school in the Deep South
  2. Where are all these people bashing bama that you are so feverishly defending the schools honor against? also, is there a tie beyond liking the team? Did you attend? Or? edelman had some likely risk of party drugs, and of course most bills fans are skeptical about PEDs in NE... but as noted, first offense in 8 years. Foster on the other hand came in with question marks and very quickly has given his doubters more ammo.
  3. I could see our scheme and talent around him not playing to his strengths. That said, I think he’s limited pre-snap as well. And that’s tough to overcome. give him an elite team, and strong coaching and he can can be a good ball distributor against a stressed defense but he can’t be the center piece that creates the stress himself. In the right role he could go deep in the playoffs but he’s not a guy that’s a contender every year.
  4. Some people love the drama. an insta model and guy who married an insta model might enjoy public attention of all variety.
  5. Bless your heart....
  6. Ive got to ask for my own curiosity- are you a Tuscaloosa guy or an at a distance fan?
  7. I’m not sure his pay (especially pre-cnn)... but I’m pretty sure he dug a hole his first 50 years, and even beyond having an ex wife and daughter, I’d guess he was anything but thrifty.
  8. Weve tried. I promise we have all tried.
  9. Regardless, I’m not sure that it’s all that brag worthy that he stopped watching a sports channel because their annual award show gave the wrong person recognition years ago. I mean, ultimately, it’s a “you do you” situation — but I think it’s lost on many who made the choice to boycott that they were precisely the reason Jenner’s decision was even considered courageous in the first place.
  10. That last bit can be a bit of a question mark, John. I won’t say it’s a given. A lot of times those types of guys are what push a good team over the top during a championship window. With the cap leveling talent, hitting on a few risks on the cheap goes a long way to creating a talent differential. A few side notes: a top 3 pick getting a 100m contract with little team protection is a bit different than 31. Adding those guys to a very good team with a qb and a true championship window open is much more likely to work than tossing them on a bad and already chaotic roster. It also seems to address the wording of the statement vs the current law much more directly than claiming that fosters situation is “bogus” So it was an on the fence between misdemeanor and felony situation and he got the lesser? Why’s it bogus?
  11. But that their statement oversold the nature of the law doesn’t mean that the actual charge was bogus. Wasn’t the last debate whether it should be misdemeanor or felony based on the gun being loaded and laying on the floor? Was the charge actually dropped?
  12. I genuinely don’t recall the details on the gun: why was it bogus?
  13. Take that, ESPN. Take. That.
  14. The concern Augie was getting at was that he’d not hold up long term. Having shoulder injuries as a linebacker can be one of those that shortens careers. I don’t think the concern was recovery so much as durability long term. (But I’m no expert) I think the risk is worth a late first even with the headaches. He seemed pretty slam dunk on the field- which goes a long way to helping the risk factor. 4 years of dirt cheap excellent play for pick 31 is not bad, even if he misses a couple games. The real issue is his second contract. otherwise, I think we view his character/judgement similarly and would count sticking around this woman as another dumb risk even if assuming the best.
  15. He tore his rotator cuff at Bama in the playoff game
  16. Did I miss some sort of persecution?
  17. He gets a lot of praise for his writing here, but I’ve noticed more than once that I walked away feeling that he pushed to engage on an emotional level but in turn left core issues of the topic untouched. Which given his flair for the dramatic, doesn’t seem shocking. I don’t have a great example at hand as it’s been a minute since I’ve read his stuff... just recall the last few feeling that way. Paired with not being a big fan of the guy personally - clicking his content just started falling off.
  18. I feel like this thread has several saying I’d TG is in they are out.
  19. So what’s the recipe you’ve got?!? What are you smoking it on?
  20. I’m just teasing, honestly. Always a fan of starting with the classics instead of a new and somewhat outside the box. It’ll be delicious still. If you did ribs you would’ve had 17 other guys here chatting their techniques though. Keep the heat steady, seasoning simple and let the smoke do it’s work
  21. Advice: Don’t start smoking with a chuck roast
  22. Kickoff specialist seabass beast mode
  23. At some level, because the numbers aren’t uniform, I’d ask how many times you seen him throw an out on a rope, or zip one into a tight window on a seam or.... this can be college, camps, not just his 50 some odd drop backs. You dont need to toss a ton of them but down 5 with 3 minutes left you have to take a risk and wing it in some tight windows and he really hasn’t shown enough zip yet.
  24. That his floor? Some may say his ceiling
  25. I think he’s saying Charlie sheen was having royale with cheese themed parties
