I live in New England. I do not want to be seen in the office tomorrow. This is humiliating. -

Your Top 5 Most Entertaining Bills Seasons
skibum replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nothing tops 1988 for me. That’s when the team really ascended. I’ll never forget the crowd at the Ralph tearing down the goalposts when they clinched the division. Where else would you ever see that? And I think that team was better than most of the Super Bowl teams. -
Take the Ball if we win the toss.

We all know Brady will be slipping the ref a coin with two heads anyway. -
I think you could argue that about the Pat's defensive dominance so far, but their offense is just a well-oiled machine any way you look at it. Adversity or not, they're going to get their opportunities and take advantage of them.

Is Jason Peters the greatest Eagle of all time?
skibum replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Interesting question. Reggie is the better player over his career, but Peters could be the better Eagle. HM to Brian Westbrook, maybe the most underrated player of the last 20 years. -
Hear it from ‘the Horrible One’. Harry talks about injury.

If it's just the ACL, he'll be fine next season. Especially with access to top-level surgeons, rehab, and training. It's only when there's collateral damage, particularly to cartilage, that things get dicey. Ligament repairs are very straightforward now, but meniscus and articular cartilage are still difficult to restore to original condition. I've torn both of my ACLs, but was fortunate that I did very little damage to the cartilage each time. I was back to regularly programmed ski bumming in 6 months, without the benefit of professional trainers and primo drugs. It's a tough recovery process, but eventually you get back to normal. -
Patriots fans and an end zone littered with dildos.

I didn't realize until today that that Pats"* three victims this year are all winless (I don't follow the rest of the league that closely). So we have a matchup two 3-0 teams whose opponents thus far are a combined 1-17. The Bills may not be a championship team yet, but they're no bums. But then again, they have played nothing but bums. And so have the Pats*. This could be more interesting than I thought!

Why the 7 point spread with the Bills at Home?

Only 7? That is crazy. -
You play coordinator. What's your game plan for Sunday?
skibum replied to billsbackto81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Offense: Lots of run plays. Screens and check-downs. Dink and dunk and just move the chains, as slowly as humanly possible. Whatever it takes to keep the Pat's offense off the field. Defense: I got nothing. I would say 'get after Brady', but the so-far sub-par pass rush has me thinking this won't fly. At least there's no Gronk? I like McDermott a lot, but Belichick outcoaches him every single time. The 3rd quarter is going to be a bloodbath. -
Congrats, kid. You gotta figure if he has made it this far with only one year of D-1 college ball, he's probably still got a lot of upside. And he can do a freakin' backflip.

Is this the most well balanced Bills team in almost 20 years?
skibum replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The defense is still twice as good as the offense, so I'd say no. -
So Tom Brady loves playing in Buffalo!

ESPN: Bills have the best defense in football
skibum replied to VW82's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's all about the Bills offense this week. If they can stay on the field, just move the chains by whatever means necessary and eat clock, they will have a chance. The Pats defense has had it too easy so far. -
I think reality sets in this Sunday. The Bills D should be able to keep it from becoming a jailbreak, but I don't see a win happening unless the D also puts up some points. I predict a close, low scoring first half, followed by the Pats rolling in the second. 33-13 final score. The Bills have so far shown an inability to "make adjustments" at halftime, as they say, coming out very tepid in the 3rd quarter. The Pats are the best in the business at making those adjustments.

Fairburn: Singletary officially out this week
skibum replied to DCOrange's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes, let's head into the Bengals game assuming we will win, all the while thinking ahead to the Pats game, which is more important. That sounds like a great idea. -
True, riding the Dirty Dog is nasty. Lots of people on the fringe; usually a few folks who were handed tickets by local police and told to get out of town, where they can be someone else's problem. I've seen desperate people loading all of their belongings, which are in trash bags, into the cargo hold. But I doubt that's the kind of bus you ride when you're an NFL baller.
