  1. Studs Josh Allen (He wills the team) OL run blocking (especially Williams) Moss Zimmer's game saving play Duds Run Defense Coaches who can't teach tackling Secondary was below average today given the players on offense for NE
  2. I can agree with you that some of it is coaching. Almost all of it is a non existent defense that can't rush, misses tackles, no 2nd/slot corner, and Tre White is disinterested.
  3. Agree...tackles are not the problem. Feliciano will make a difference for continuity and consistency when he returns soon. A stronger running game is needed going forward, no doubt. With that said, coaching the "D" up or finding a way to stop the opponent's run game is the need.
  4. The Bills have not had a signature win in my opinion in the McClappy era. Some may argue the Cowboys win last year or even Andy Dalton's gift in breaking the playoff drought. We have had some good wins, but I started thinking... What do board members believe constitutes a signature win? Is it a dominant performance in all 3 phases of the game? A road victory against a frequent playoff team? Putting a blemish on a team with their first loss? A playoff win? A gutty come-from-behind victory? Beating the less formidable Patriots next week? I believe the Cardinals and Steelers got signature wins this week. The Bills so far have played as expected. They were manhandled by clearly better teams, won some cupcakes, and eeked out wins against teams comparable in skill this year. Will a Bills win against NE be signature level? Or, do they need to put together 3 wins in a row? (Jets, Pats, and Hawks, etc.) What pelt or pelts do they need on their wall to move from fairly good to great this year? Let's discuss.
  5. I moved to California and was not a football fan yet. It was 1988. Everyone in northern Cali was a 49ers or Raiders fan. I did not want to jump on the Montana/Rice or Bo Jackson train, so I picked the team that was from my birth state and had patriotic colors. I learned about the K-Gun offense, Thurman's versatility, the D, and it felt great to root for a young and exciting team I knew little about. Been hooked ever since! I live in Colorado now and look forward (weather/COVID policy willing) to watch the Bills play Denver on 12/20.
  6. No real loss here. Covid is the only thing this TE group could "catch." The one person excited about this is Jason Croom who may get lucky twice this weekend (Pegula's daughter on a rebound and a slim chance of being the #3 TE on game day).
  7. Sit White and Poyer down for two unnecessary roughness penalties. Costing Bills a chance to get back in game, undisciplined football, and poor coaching. Need a NT and a new D-Coordinator.
  8. Our run defense is atrocious. Man, we miss star. Still not sure why our coaches have not addressed this. If we can't get pressure on the QB, okay. But, we also can't allow 5-10 yards per carry with a banged up and shallow-depth linebacking group.
  9. Brain Score: Chiefs 41 Bills 24 Heart Score: Bills 31 Chiefs 27
  10. Barkley because he knows the team's offense. Bortles because his wife/girlfriend shares the same nickname as John Brown, "Smoke."
  11. Several glaring factors from this game. 1. Team was not prepared to play. 2. The defense has regressed as a whole. Yes.. White, Milano, and Star are big reasons, but the defense is a season-long concern. 3. Bills are a good team, but not great. The cupcake games against Jets and Miami made us look top 5. We are closer to the 8th-12th best team. A reality-check. 4. No running game. 5. Josh Allen led some impressive drives, but he really hurt the team tonight.
  12. It was easier to keep a team together back in the early 90s. Free agency is the biggest difference from the 90s. Agree with other posters on DE, RB, LB, and just overall depth. Yes...these Bills are good, but it would take a hall of fame level DE, a solid right side of the OL, another solid linebacker, and a MVP-level running back before we can compare the two teams. A top level DE and Singletary averaging 1200+ yards is the next step/level. Let's keep building and win a playoff game first!
  13. Cooper, Gallup, and Lamb by a thin margin. Bill's have a solid offense...just need a 1 technique on defense and Milano to stop getting hurt.
  14. It is always interesting when someone makes a rationale take and observation about the pattern of the Bill's struggling closing out games and playing too conservative. Getting better in this area is what puts us into the upper-tier. Great teams are closers. We are a solid team. Happy like all to be 4-0. The goal this year is to win the division, win a playoff game, and be competitive against the best in the league to become title contenders over the next 2-5 years with this group. Let's just remain positive and also share thoughts about our shared passion.
  15. I know we are 4-0, so this is a win worth celebrating. However, the Bills have a troubling trend of not closing out games, playing to "not lose," and not going for the knockout blow on either defense or offense. Again, we are a good team, but the Bill's farted away the last 7 minutes with no urgency or commitment to go for the juggler. Should have won 37-16 and played too the whistle.
  16. Yes...Mahomes is better than Allen and Tre White right now. He has a Super Bowl ring and an MVP award. If Josh Allen and Tre White can win a title, Allen an MVP award, and play the next 10 years comparably to how Mahomes plays, then, yes, they will be as good if not better than Mahomes.
  17. I think 11-5 is very realistic. This is a talented team that has a lot of promise. I expect a solid win or two against top tier teams and a bad loss as part of a successful learning curve. If we can get some health at the second CB spot and improve the run defense, Bills will be a tough playoff out.
  18. Hand it to Kraft who got off because Florida DA had one job and blew it.
  19. No...injury prone and would cost too much. Now, Kelce, Kittle, Edwards, Higbee, and the Raiders TE is something that ain't happening but would be intriguing.
  20. I like Milano, but not at $12-15 million. He sits more than I would like. If Dodson is 75%-80% of Milano, we should be good.
  21. Johnson signing with the Panthers in 2020 ='s being a member of the Bills in 2021! 😀
  22. I know he isn't a player, but I am going to go with Chris "Can't Report" Brown.
  23. there are the "hall of very good" or "great for a season or two" that get in. I sort of wish the 10-20% best had a separate wing that was reserved for legends. My personal opinion is all of the major sports Halls alls are watered down with too many "very good/great" players. I personally only want to put in Manning, C Woodson, and Megatron. The other guys all have caveats or justifications to consider. I could see arguments for the McNair (small college, MVP, tragic death), Boseli (probably a top 7 tackle of all-time as far as talent), Willis (supremely dominant but left early), Faneca (solid guard and did a lot for players union), Lynch (Super Bowl winner, good interview, and successful coach thus far). Seymour (he was a Patriot), and (Holt/Wayne because they out up gaudy numbers in their time and kinda sucks if they don't join Bruce and Harrison). Give me the only 3 surefire guys!
  24. YoloinOhio did an excellent job pointing out the depleting linebacker corps after today's game. Hopefully all of our starters are healthy for week #2. If the Bills needed two linebackers to "circle the wagons" for a few weeks and maybe strengthen the linebacker group, who would you want to sign to pair up with Andre Smith from the Practice Squad? 1. Nigel Bradham 2. Darron Lee 3. Alec Ogletree 4. Another free agent or a low round pick trade?
