  1. I would ask Travis Henry how many of his children he could name.
  2. Moses or Wilson are worth a 7th round flier on right? I know we just picked up Hamlin as a safety. What about Steven's, the safety from LSU. I am going to trust Beane, but this draft has been weird for me other than Basham in round 2 as far as positions, selections, and trades. We must be cutting some players in order to get some of these guys on the roster on the cheap.
  3. I like the Basham pick. I think he could be a great DE. No, I do not like the draft strategy. Again, Rousseau was the wrong pick when CB or another position could have been addressed. They picked two DE's for two reasons: First, they don't draft DL well. Second, more importantly, they are going to cut a few DE's on our current roster to save or create cap space. When Allen gets paid and if Edmunds gets extended, got to go cheap other places. Our DL costs too much versus production. This is why I would have preferred JOK, LB from Notre Dame in Round 1 to replace Edmunds in 1-2 years because of cost. Basham and Rousseau will replace Butler and maybe Addison. Ultimately, this is meant to replace Hughes next year. DL will have Hughes (last year with team), the new guy we got in FA, Epenesa, Rousseau, and Basham going forward. Hope youth movement will get coached up to cheap but more effective run and pass defense on DL.
  4. Samuel Jr. would be my first choice, but he will likely go 15 or so spots ahead of us. 2nd Round Choices: (Molden, Humphrey, or best OL prospect).
  5. Not a fan of this pick. Would've preferred Samuel Jr, or JOK, or a trade up for Harris/Etienne. He is talented and may be a great long-term pick. Too much risk for me and I don't think a major contributor this year. However, I am happy to be completely wrong.😊
  6. The only players I want to see picked at #30 are those who I believe can make the most impact short-term (next year) with also long-term value. For me, the players most likely to match those characteristics at #30 would be: Harris, Etienne, or Marshall on offense, or Paye, Farley (if healthy), Collins, or Phillips on Defense.
  7. Bills take Terrace Marshall with their first round pick.
  8. I would like to hear one of the following 5 names with their first round pick: Kwity Paye, Caleb Farley, Zaven Collins, Etienne, or Harris 2nd Round I would like to hear one of the 5 following names: Jabril Cox, Friermuth, Brevin Jordan, Dylan Moses, or Asante Samuel Rounds 3-7: best 1T, and best players available matched with need that weren't filled with picks in Rounds 1 or 2. Basically give me two starters from either DE/CB/RB/TE/LB in the first two rounds. Give me a DT, a versatile OL, and whatever front office feels is best with rest of picks.
  9. As others have said, I would pass on this guy despite a high-level of talent. Too much risk and not enough process. Not much left on the 4-3 DE market though. Costs are high and the DE pool is pretty shallow according to all of the draft sites and magazines. Two guys I would love the Bills to go after in some kind of trade scenario. Brian Burns He is a Carolina Panther He is 22 and on a rookie deal. Seems to be a star in the making that gets sacks and forces fumbles. I wonder if Carolina would love to jump and snag the #4 spot from Atlanta. The draft charts say they would need 400+points. The Bills would give up #30 (worth about 620) points and their 3rd to Carolina. Carolina takes these picks and their #8 pick to move to Atlanta's 4th pick Because Burns is such a talent, the Bills give up next year's 2nd rounder and one of their 5th's this year. Carolina gets Fields or Lance at #4, a 2nd rounder in 2022, and a 5th. Atlanta starts their rebuild with Carolina's 8th and 30th pick from Buffalo. They also get the Bills 3rd rounder. Buffalo gets their top DE on rookie deal. They save a little cap money by trading that 1st and 3rd this year. 2nd round pick on a CB/RB/TE. Remaining picks on depth. Danielle Hunter This is all predicated on his medicals. This guy is a top 10 DE if he is healthy. Vikings are a middling playoff level team. Hunter is only going to cost a lot more. Bills and Vikings had a positive trade with the Diggs trade last year. If he clears medicals, Bills offer their 1st and 5th this year. They offer their 2nd next year. If he appears to be more of a risk, Bills offer their 2nd and 5th this year. Again, this is predicated on his medicals as well as how confident the Vikings are that they are an NFC contender the next 3 years. Just thoughts. L
  10. BillsShredder83... Thank you. Someone put sandpaper on Rochester's toilet seat. He thinks trading a 1st round pick, cutting an overpriced veteran, or restructuring a deal is mortgaging the future. The future is here and now. For some reason, some fans think bringing back the roster almost entirely intact guarantees a 13-3 season and the AFC Championship Game. Yes...it is great...We are a top 4 team as you said. Unfortunately, people complain when facts are presented that it would not be cost-prohibitive now or in the next couple of years to give up a little draft capital and restructure/cut some fat in order to bring in a DE/TE/Edge Linebacker, etc. Is there a player or two you think the Bills could get in a trade? We could cut guys like Singletary, Matevich, Butler, and maybe tack on a year to Hughes deal to free up cap space. There are definitely some players on teams not going anywhere that has a player that could help us take the next step. Don't get me wrong...Breida is a good player (solid addition). Ebada looks like a bargain. These guys add depth and versatility to our roster. They make the roster stronger with forthcoming injuries. We need about 40+ guys like them on our team. I am just looking for 1-2 of those needle movers that bring us to the Big Dance.
  11. Championship in-reach requires the last pieces. 13-3 or resigning good players are great things. The whole point is to go all-in. 2nd place bridesmaid status is status quo now. The bar is being in the Big Game and goal to clear it. A better RB, a stronger pash rush (Obada) is a nice #3 DE, or a TE that causes matchup problems. Need 2 of those 3: (prefer DE/RB) impact player. No DE in draft offers that year #1. Absolutely trade draft picks, kick a can a little down the road, or create space and make a trade. Notice that Kelce, Gronk, Edwards-Helaire, Ronald Jones, Dee Ford, Fournette, and Barrett play for the best two teams. Notice the positions. No, we won't get them but Addison, Hughes, Singletary, Moss, Knox, Hollister won't get us over. All-in. No runner-up or participation trophies. The danger of being a very good team is not taking that last or last leap/risk to win it all. That is those last two impact players that change how we are defended and how a team adjusts its offense. Anything less than an above average/solid pash rusher and a running back who catches out if the backfield and has some burst is neutral. Bills brass knows that as well as the team and their opponents. 👍😀
  12. The Bills' roster is currently constructed to win the Super Bowl in the next two years. Beane has re-signed last year's squad. A solid start for continuity as a playoff contender. Now we must go over the top! This year may be the best shot to win the Lombardi. This team must go "All-In" during this brief window! This is the season where we are 1-2 pieces away. If we need a Najee Harris/Etienne, a George Kittle, a Khalil Mack-type of player, go for it! Whatever player or two will fill those missing pieces, go and get it. Kick the can down the road a year or two. I don't care. Trade our picks, cut a popular overpaid veteran, restructure another deal or two. Anything less than "all-in" this year takes away this window. Yes, Allen and our younger core make it so a second window can come open in the next 10 years. Barring significant injury, the Bills' are playoff caliber this decade. But, this first window is wide open right now! A 2nd window is highly probable but no guarantee. Allen will never be cheaper. The Patriots and Jets have not gained much ground. The Ravens do not have enough offense or the Titans. The Steelers are rarely this messed up. Miami is not a threat yet. Brees is done and Rodgers may have missed his 2nd window these past two years. And, as talented as the Bills' young core is, future contracts will be massively more expensive. Depth will be harder to maintain and we may not have this many players in or around their prime for awhile. Get that DE/RB/TE/LB/TE or whatever will fill our championship hole! Ask Dan Marino and Elway about their first open window. Marino never got a 2nd one. Guys like Elway and Manning squeezed through their 2nd window and did so with significant support and a fair amount of lucky timing. Now is not the time to settle for really good. Now is the right time to push the ante upward. Throw the haymaker. Bring in the closer. Go for the jugular. Make the kill shot. This is the Window. This is the Way! (Fun Mandalorian reference). 🏈
  13. 4,400 yards, 32 touchdowns, 5 rushing touchdowns. The numbers are lower because when we draft Etienne, rushing yards and touchdowns go up. Also, Allen will sit our last game unless it is for a certain playoff seed. And, our defense will be better at slowing the run, so on offense, we will get better at eating the clock when needed. 😎
  14. No. However, if we are going to go outside the box, we might as well get Usian Bolt (not Marquise Goodwin) or whomever is the top sprinter in the world. 😀
  15. I could debate being an upgrade over Brown, but Sanders is great as a #3 or #4 in this offense. Sanders is a pro's pro. He knows routes, is a cheap option, and he fits well in that 8-14 yard catch range that is Allen's bread and butter. Yes...a burner will be good to sign but given the cap space and that a rookie receiver is likely to be no higher than the #3 option with Diggs, Beasley, and Davis, we can be patient with WR's. It is DE/RB/CB where high draft capital goes.
  16. Exactly. Those who sign extensions and may restructure to help the team see their contract money converted to bonuses and lower their cap number for the betterment of the team. Bill's get more cap space and Dawkins gets some money earlier. And, as you said, White as well. I like core special team players but not at 3.7 million. Mataveich and Addison are addition by subtraction. I'd rather have Williams, Feliciano, and a great DL guy with the money from some restructures and trimming out players who won't be large difference makers. As far as LB, Bills can choose between Bokton, Cox, Collins, Moses and Surratt. 2 of those guys will likely be available with Bills first two picks.
  17. I think Morse and Dawkins are restructure candidates, and I would like to see Lee Smith, Mataveich, and Addison go to free up some money. Resign Williams and Feliciano. Get Chris Carson if price is reasonable for 2 years. Put the rest of the money into getting at least 1-2 impact/upgrades front 7 defensive player. Put draft focus on TE/DL/LB and fill rest with WR/CB.
  18. I played in high school. The game is a lot different than the 90s. I played CB and as a weakside linebacker in some situations. I understand the basic schemes and what the Bills are trying to do on defense, but the terminology and speed of the game makes me a complete but interested novice.
  19. Any team can win any given Sunday, but the Bucs played a near perfect game on offense and defense. Bucs defense is significantly stronger in their front 7, they have a serviceable run game, a knucklehead but better TE, and Allen is not in Tom Brady's class as of yet. So, no. Bills would have scored more than 9 points, but Bucs beat New Orleans, Green Bay, and KC handily. Bills are a top 5 team next year, but KC and Tampa Bay are favorites and should be.
  20. There is only one person capable of stopping Travis Kelce and capable of handling anything....that would Chuck Norris!
  21. I want Allen to get his Brinks truck payday, but not yet! Yes...Allen outplayed his salary. And, yes, we love him and our future with him. And, yes, he's perfect for Buffalo. The Bills used a lot of assets to get Allen. He signed a contract, and part of that contract was getting a great deal of having his salary controllable to a possible 5 years. Pay Allen, but maximize his $6-$7 million salary now while we can for at least next year. With Mahomes, Watson, Jackson, and possibly Herbert, the Bills need every valuable player that they can resign, and balancing out of their offense with a RB and a tougher front 7. He also needs as good as if not a better offensive line than this year. We have next year to make this team deeper, stronger, and more balanced. The $30+ mil we would save keeping Allen on his current contract plus the cutting of fat of Brown, Butler, Jefferson, Addison, and other cuts/restructures, gives the Bills an additional $30+million to resign the right players from this year's team while also giving the Bills a run game and a potential game changer in the front 7. Allen will get $35-$45 million per. He will get it in his 5th year if on a franchise tag. He will get it with another MVP season again, a Super Bowl win, or even a top 10 statistical season with a playoff run. He will be 26. He will be paid. Take advantage of this 1 year window. Take out the Chiefs with a more balanced and talented roster, win the Super Bowl, and then pay Josh whatever he wants. This is a rare window It is even a rarer window with the uncertainty of the salary cap Even more rare with today's free agency world, and then we have 1 year where we have a top 3 QB in football making $30-$40 million less than the few comparable QB's in the league. Pay him, but don't pay it all yet!
  22. Solid season! Yes, today's game was a disappointment, but the Chiefs are the better overall team right now. Bills have a bright future if they can keep talent around Allen and improve the front 7 on defense. I still, Billieve!
  23. I agree with Warcoded. I live in Colorado and work across most of the I-25 corridor in Denver, Ft. Collins, and Colorado Springs. Broncos fans detest the Chiefs. Most of Broncos Country is for the Bills and Packers.
  24. All three are huge game-changing moments. For me, the most impactful defensive playoff play was actually Don Beebe's play on Leon Lett. The impact was on me personally. I saw heart, effort, professionalism, and grit. I have had non-Bills fans bring this play up. I have attended a business conference with this play referenced as what great character and leadership looks like. Plays like Beebe's and the loyalty and passion of Bills fan is at the core of my love for our Buffalo Bills! Let's get this "W" on Sunday.
